They have pretty much anything you need in a convenience store, and then some. snacks, food, sundries, beer, soda, and other drinks. I find that the Stewart's branded sodas are just as good as the name brand, and the price is much more reasonable. Also, this Stewart's actually has eggnog, year-round. And it's good, too. They have hot foods, such as hotdogs, chili, pizza, etc. For a slice of "convenience store pizza", it's pretty darn good, and reasonably priced, too! They also have things such as Sundaes, banana splits, etc... in their dessert shop. My partner and I are always getting their milkshakes, they are fantastic. Stewart's ice cream is top notch! The prices in the store are reasonable. . They are not a 24-hour store, but they close late, and open early. . You can also join their "moo club" for specials on items they sell in the store, and, you can also join their "scoop club" and get free ice cream. We will keep coming back. Thank you!

However, my experience that day was something out of the ordinary. When I generally come past, I don't find many cars in the gas lot. However, on Christmas Day's early evening just after nightfall, I was flustered and found this station to have every gas pump but one in use in relation to a comfortable angle coming into the stall to pump. I stopped in, used my GasBuddy card as normal (at the pay-at-the-pump-only transaction), ended up texting some of my family, and pulled out all without any problems. I know I made the mistake of choosing "no" when it came to deciding for a receipt but knew I'd be paying a lesser amount from GasBuddy's discount, so-chose accordingly. It was so busy that night when I came, I couldn't think straight and wasn't even noting all other things at this station - I wasn't thinking straight! Almost got side-swiped when another truck-sized vehicle decided to come past me before I pumped and was in my vehicle. Thank god he had a few inches between me and the vehicle parked in front of me (at the parking spots ahead of me).

However, once I got here, I didn't see any other cars here, nor did any other cars ever pull into this station (until after I got done and was about to leave). It was so freaky, it was if I could hear a pin drop; it was dead silent here. The transaction went pretty smoothly, given the conditions I was up against with my GasBuddy card in-hand...right up until I was ready to collect my receipt. The pump operated smoothly, although when I tried to click it off at 19.70, it stopped at 19.71 just as I hung up the nozzle and I didn't even realize it. The pump told me to go inside and collect my receipt. I didn't know about the price adjustment, but I won't worry about the penny. When I got inside, I saw no one in their either. The one employee they had working was sitting down just off the main room in a small (what looked to be) hallway (near I don't know what). However, as soon as I announced my intentions with my "Pay-at-the-Pump" transaction and the need for a receipt that the pump said to go inside for the receipt (pump 5), the employee came out and printed out my receipt. I took my receipt and headed out. I know Kerhonkson is this sleepy town with little to no action, but it was TOO quiet for this transaction to have gone over well.

No apology. No offer of restitution. This morning I try to use my loyalty card while gassing up my car. I type in my rewards number, it offers me my discount, I click yes and the strangest thing happens: it prints a receipt while I am approving my Samsung Pay. I finish filling my tank and it prints a receipt that DOES NOT reflect my points being used. I go inside and the cashier says "I don't know anything about that" and directs me to the manager who just arrived. I talk to the manager who proceeds to tell ne (1) "that's outside, we have no control of that", (2) "if you said yes" and multiple variations of this is my fault and must have selected the wrong payment option (there were two options: apply discount yes or no don't), and finally (3) while gesturing me to leave, tells me to "go to the website; maybe they can tell you what happened and give your points back." The total losses is less than 3 lunchables but the dollar value isn't the point... the lack of customer service and the constant ping pong refrain of "I can't do anything/I don't know anything about this" and "you must have done something wrong" is frustrating to the point I don't want to use this normally convenient gas station.

I walked inside needing a bottle of spring water, and although it took me a few moments to find a suitable one for a decent price (the prices are very confusing, some are above the product and some are below), I did find the product. I had had no help from the employees when trying to find the water (not like I requested much in finding them at all) but trying to decipher the prices, that's what my problem was. I saw an employee walk back into the back storeroom (or what I believe to be a back storeroom, but she never did greet me with "if you need me, I'll be right back." Where's the customer service, when you see a customer in the store, employee? However, it took me a few moments to grab it out of the case and up to the register I went. I set the bottle down and she proceeded to ring up the order. She reminded me that Plenti is in use here, and after digging a few moments in my wallet, I informed her that it would probably be best if someone looked it up by phone number. I do believe I carry that card on me, but I don't recall the last time I actually used that card. The rest of the transaction went smoothly. I handed her the money when the time came, and she gave me the right change. Convenient in a pinch when the McDonalds across the street was closed (the one that is supposedly open 24/7)? Yep. I'd say this is a great transaction that could have gone wrong from the start had I felt differently about the pricing situation which was present here. It was an emergency for me to buy water, but this day just seemed more awkward. Thanks for being there.
