my laptop was having a lot of troubles due to me being an idiot and never cleaning it... apparently there were dust bunnies breading inside... this caused my gpu to go out. also, i pretty much broke the keyboard connector trying to fix it... so i took my laptop here to see if they could save it, it didn't look good when they first inspected it and initially told me it would cost me about 600 bucks to get a new laptop graphics card (gaming laptop) ackkkk!!!! then he told me he could TRY to fix it but there was a very low chance he would be successful. but lo and behold! a day later and my laptop is completely fixed and running better than it has in years. these guys saved my bacon! and for a very very reasonable price! highly recommended. read more

Computer on the fritz. They found a really obscure problem and fixed it. Quick, painless, not expensive. Highly recommended.

I have been going to Circular for 6 years. Over that time Douglas has helped me several times. He always goes above the call of duty! Every time I have had a problem he has fixed the issues no matter the problem. He is fast, professional and cheaper then the less knowledgable competition. I have referred dozens of people to Circular and I confidently will continue to use his services and refer people to Circular!! read more

fixed my macbook for a great price (my display would not come on) and sold me a power supply for my pc tower (which stopped powing on) for a very reasonable price. highly recommend. Also picked up some ipod earbuds from a nice price... read more

I had a laptop notorious for its GPU de-laminating from the MB due to high heat and it was now dead. I was told by several shops that there is only one person in SAC that could recover it. Douglas and his Circular Systems did just that by re-flowing the solder connecting the BGA to the MB. Result: Total Success. Not only that, Douglas re-worked the hardware and software in such a way that removed the probability of the same problem re-occurring. He was able to give a 52 week warranty on the repair. Now, that's service and a testament to his expertise ! Seriously, if you have a problem with a PC that other shops tell you is insurmountable, talk to Douglas. There is no one better qualified to ascertain the scope and cost of a repair. Highly recommended. Ian read more

the day before I had a big paper due, my power cord on my Dell laptop dies! Ugh!! Isn't that the way the universe works?! I tried to find a place other than Best Buy or Fry's where I can buy a replacement power cord for as cheep as possible and a friend recommends Circular Systems. When I got there they were really nice and explained to me that most places sell power cords that are "compatible" with all kinds of laptops, but that they cost about $100 and don't even work that well or for that long. At Circular Systems they sell actual Dell power cords for only $45 and they come with a 90 day warranty. They were really nice and will continue to get my business if I ever need any more computer accessories! read more

I had a server that crashed and they managed to save my data the same day. They are fair with their price and also good at repairing electronics and smart phones, I'll be sure to give them more business. read more

My 6 year old PC finally died. I searched online and checked out various systems and also visited a few stores. After some research I felt it was better to have a system built from the ground up and tried to find a place which would do that. Surprisingly, there was only a couple left, at least in the Sacramento region. Fortunately, I found a good one. Prices are reasonable, considering what prices are online or at the stores and I feel better about my purchase when buying from a small business. So, if you are shopping for a computer, stop by or give a call to Douglas and he'll set you up. Oh, I now have a beast of a computer!!! BOOM!!! Thanx, Douglas! read more

My business laptop died. I was able to pinpoint the problem but would not be able to perform the repair. Heard about Doug through word of mouth so I paid him a visit on a Saturday morning. I met him at 11am, paid extra for a rush repair (totally worth it!!), had it back by 5pm! Outstanding work!! He saved the day! Would highly recommend! read more

I had two computers crash within days of each other with the same virus and due to the great reviews on Yelp I decided to use them. They did a great job and the price was reasonable as far as computer repair goes... The only thing I had an issue with was they were really backed up so they had the computer for almost a week which was inconvenient but worth it.. read more

These guys were awesome! The screen on my iPhone was separating from the rest of the phone, so I stopped in here because it was close to my house. They charged me $40 even for parts and labor and fixed the problem (failing battery was expanding, pushing the screen out) in half an hour. They also ran some rudimentary tests and cleaned out all the ports for free. read more

So my review was removed due the fact I stated I called and was told they only work on Iphones. I did not comment about the service. Well now I will. I called and spoke with a woman about trying to retrieve data off my phone. Once I told her the issue she was rude and told me they only deal with I phones and hung up. Why didn't she stop me when I told her I had a Samsung? Why is this not listed on anything for them? Why be rude? read more

Great service and good prices. The main guy there is friendly and gives you straight info on how much things are going to cost. They went out of their way to make sure I was happy. I would recommend this place. read more

I took my late 2011 MacBook Pro 17" here for repair with the well known graphics issue after getting a definitive diagnosis and a quote of almost $600 from the Apple Store. Circular offered to repair it by re-doing the soldering of the graphics chip instead of replacing the entire logic board (the only method that Apple offers). The cost was only $120 with a one-year warranty. My MacBook has now been working for almost a month without any hiccups. I'm not aware of any other computer repair shops in Sacramento with such an affordable service and long warranty. Most shops I spoke with asked for $200 to $300 for the same repair and only 3-month warranty. The turnaround was only a few days. The technician was friendly and knowledgeable. Ask him any questions about the repair and he'd gladly explain about it to you. THIS PLACE IS A GEM! read more

after being ripped off by buying a used laptop on Craigslist, and then being discouraged by terrible service at Allocate, I was a walking wounded. Circular was professional, explaining issues without being dismissive (as Allocate was), I was delighted. I ended up cutting my losses and buying another used laptop from them. Will definitely be back. read more

If you want your apple MacBook repaired, dont go to this place. They are not apple certified. I brought my apple laptop here to have my screen replaced since Im into "support local". It took them awhile to get it repaired. After i got it in approximately a month , the replaced screen basically went nuts in 3 months which I rarely even used. I returned my laptop back to them to have it fixed for the work that they have done. They called me and told me that the warranty expired on the computer screen and that I have to pay another 300+ on the screen because their source doesn't guarantee it. That made me mad and I actually gave a controlled earful of comments to the lady who I think is related to the owner/computer guy. I feel sorry but to pay another $300+ to computer screen again which they dont guarantee is completely BS. If I went to apple and had it repaired, it would have cost me $600 but it is guaranteed. But since I was really supporting the small guys, I went to this computer shop. That move is costing me more than I bargained and hoped for because Apple wont even touch my computer because it was altered by a non certified apple computer technician. They couldn't fix my issue (computer screen). The apple technician looked inside briefly after my persuasion and he said Circular systems basically screwed my computer up. The thicker screen they installed was cramped inside and was forced that the lining was torn apart and the alignment wasn't achieved as my computer camera was way off center and several screws were missing. Now, I am left with a broken laptop computer which I could not use again. So don't be like me, look for a certified apple computer shop for your apple stuffs. read more

Circular saved my bacon. My hardrive died. I tryed to do everything to fix and repair it. I had my professional IT friend come over and do what he could to try to get back the email and data I lost. He suggested I find a data recovery place so I thankfully found Circular through Yelp. Circular got it done. I am still in amazment about them being able to recover the data and repair the harddrive. Also the cost of doing this was very reasonable and better than other places I called. I would fully recommend using them and I now consider them a part of my extended "team". Thank you Circular! read more

I am more than pleased with the service here. I took my laptop in, they gave me a price and told me when it would be ready. It was fixed for the price quoted (cheaper than anywhere else) and was ready when they said it would be ready. They were courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. I received a card from Best Buy today giving me 20% off computer services. What a waste of paper, went right into the trash. I wish to say "thank you" to circular systems. read more

Better than the Geek Squad. Better than most, but this is what a computer shop should do. There are 2 place in Sacramento that I recommend, and this is one of them. read more

Douglas is an honest and knowledgeable business person. I've been using Circular's services since they opened. Prices are competitive with any small shop in town, and most importantly, the quality of the hardware sold is top-notch. read more

I have used Circular Systems to repair my Dell desktop two times. Once my fan was making a loud sound and then overheating the system and completely shutting down. Another time, I got this crazy virus that was making my internet browser go to wierd websites (instead of the address I was typing in). Both of these issues were way beyond what I could fix myself, and both times I got my computer back within a day or two, good as new. I definitely reccomend this shop. I'd much rather use a small business then large corporations like Geek Squad or Office Depot, and better rates anyway! read more

Awesome, no nonsense dudes. Last December, my dad's desktop got infected with a fake anti-virus program. I came to Circular and they got rid of it. This December, it came back with the 2012 edition! It was relentlessly annoying and I didn't have enough confidence to delete the registry keys myself out of the fear I would screw everything up. Flat fee of $75 for infection removal and the computer is working fine again. They even took it upon themselves to remove Norton anti-virus after finding out that the subscription expired and the program was "damaged." It's not the nicest looking interior but things are fairly clean and organized. I would definitely support this local shop over the technicians at Staples/Geek Squad...especially since Circular does virus removal for literally half the price of Staples and Geek Squad (they charge $150+). If I ever have computer issues again, I'm definitely coming back here. The only down for me is the time that it takes to get the product back, it takes about 3-4 days depending on how backed up they are. read more

Circular Systems in an interesting location. The people there are very nice and friendly, and keep several out of date products on their shelves specifically for some of their clientele. I feel inclined to repeat how nice it is of them to do this as it saves me time when working with my older systems. On the other hand, their prices are quite steep for the products, and they are very slow are repairing even the simplest things (ie. viruses, broken optical drive, etc). overall, I recommend them to anyone who needs help and has the time to wait for it. read more

After being sorely disappointed by service at another iPhone repair business (within two days of having my shattered screen replaced, it was ghosting and pink, and within 3 weeks, the screen actually started lifting off the phone), I brought my phone here. What a nice guy! Fair, knowledgeable, quick, and in midtown. I'll remember this place the next time I'm in need. read more

Trying to catch up on my reviews here.....a while back I brought my laptop in because it would not charge AT ALL. It was a few years old so Best Buy told me to buy a new laptop. HAH! For $90 Circular fixed whatever pin wasn't connecting in the charger to the laptop and it's been fine ever since. read more

I spilled a huge glass of water all over my brand new laptop, and according to internet instructions, I took it completely apart and let it air dry for two days. After putting it back together, it thankfully turned on but the keyboard didn't work at all. I called around to a few places and after explaining my problem, I received several very high quotes. I called circular, they said they'd have to look at it, but said it would probably be under $100 if in fact it was only the keyboard that was broken. I brought it in, they ordered me a new keyboard, quoted me $49 for parts and labor and a week later I had a fully functioning laptop that looks identical to when I purchased it. To top that off when I picked it up they apologized for it taking so long, which was so unnecessary considering they saved me 100s of dollars AND fixed my computer. Hopefully I don't have a need to return anytime soon but I will if I ever have a problem again. They are so nice, so professional, and offer a quality, inexpensive service. I will recommend them over and over again. read more

I've been to Circular Systems twice: First, when my laptop overheated and the GPU dislodged from the motherboard. They were able re-ball the solder, then (at my request) they install a heatsink on it to dissipate the heat better in the future. Then, about a year later, I dropped my bag while leaving campus (my strap broke!) and my laptop wouldn't boot. After attempting to troubleshoot it, I took it to them and they confirmed the hard drive was corrupted and couldn't salvage the data(!). They replaced my 320GB HDD with an upgraded 128GB SSD (solid state drive) for a very reasonable price. Turn around time was only a couple of days, and they reinstalled my OS as well. I did notice however that they installed the 64bit OS instead of my original 32bit OS. It's not a big deal, but I noticed when some of my sub-programs wouldn't work. I didn't take off any stars though because I never called them and asked about it, because frankly, it really isn't that big of a deal. Overall, I will bring any of my computer related issues to them, as they are absolutely stellar! read more
