Y'all....I don't normally go inside this gas station. I usually pay at the pump and go. However, this morning I had some money left on a gift card so I went in to prepay for my gas.
It was rather busy this morning, but it was about 15 minutes until 8:00 AM so that probably constitutes as a high traffic time. Anyhow, the first thing I noticed was a woman employee behind the counter staring at a customer who was getting some type of baked good. She chastised him loudly for leaving a utensil out, but he told her he left it out because the guy behind him was using it next. Instead of her apologizing to him as loudly as she rebuked him, she just said, "Oh okay."
Next, the male cashier was very cheerful, which was pleasant. But, he was literally making a phone call while ringing up customers and also talking with his co-workers. He kept saying, "Oh no baby. This is not going to work." He was speaking in reference to how busy it was and he was about to be at the gas station by himself when the other ladies left. The employee that was mean mugging customers said, "It's like this all the time! Folks don't come in and we don't have any help. Then second shift comes in and wonders why nothing is done."
Look..I get it. They were frustrated, but to be so vocal in a store full of costumers is unprofessional. Other mediocre service things happened-yes, I was in the store that long-but I mentioned the things that were the most side eye worthy.
I hope I don't have to come inside this gas station anytime in the near future. read more
