I was here in the evening and it was well lit and it was also relatively clean. The staff here were friendly and performed their tasks admirably. All in all, not a bad place to get gas (and those usual convenience store items). I am giving it three stars because while there is nothing wrong with this Circle K location, there is also nothing that sets this Circle K apart from other gas stations. Again, let's keep in mind three stars is average. And while I might want to find above average places to enjoy a meal or an evening out, a gas station can be three stars and still a satisfactory place to get the services and products they offer (in this case, gasoline for the car and maybe a cold bottle of water or soda). No complaints here, but I think three stars is still fair.

First, the parking situation. There is plenty, but the way in and out of it is treacherous. If you have a low-slung car, take it slow and go at an angle because it is pretty steep in places. Second, the traffic. As other yelpers have stated, this place is virtually impossible to get out of onto South shades Crest toward Helena or in from the same direction. Coming in and out on 150 is much easier, but I seldom see people going that direction from the station. Third, the service. I have always had a good experience with the attendants here. They are courteous and efficient. They deal with difficult customers with patience, but I wish they could open another line when that situation arises. Last but not least, the pricing. In short, this is in Hoover, so it is higher than the prices at similar places in Bessemer or McCalla, but still not outrageous. Worth it for the convenience if you live on this side of town.

I asked if he had some black chargers he said no. im looking and I see the black charger he still wouldn't give it to me. I asked him his name and was he the manager , he said yes and his name was Joe. I asked him why was he being rude and he said "he isn't rude to everyone" basically saying he was just rude to me. I came back in for a receipt because the charger was bought with a work card and he handed me a receipt for Tobacco and I told him I needed it for work, he printed out another one.

I was holding on the phone.....I did this for 40+ minutes and a real live female person answered the phone and said I will be with you in just a minute...after a while....I was disconnected and transferred to no-mans land where no one would answer the phone. I called back and now10 minutes, there are once again 2 customers ahead of me. And the computer lady keeps saying she is sorry to keep me waiting! Actually, if there were a minus.....I would give a minus 100. It is sad. This used to be a vibrant store full of staff who could help you in a reasonable time. The voice mail system is terrible. The store is under staffed. You walk in there and can't find anyone except in the pharmacy. There are still 2 callers ahead of me. Actually, I have been moving my prescriptions to another pharmacy...but I missed this one. I may be holding on this phone until my next birthday ...which is in November!!! and there are still 2 callers ahead of me. It is now 26 minutes holding. And they will be with me shorly. I don't remember her name, but many thanks to her because I found exactly what I needed at this new store. The store has a HUGE selection of natural hair products, which is great for a lady liked me who has natural hair. The store also had a wide variety of wefted & crotchet hair, wigs, accessories, makeup, and a lot more. I believe this store could eliminate the need to find order items from online because I could probably find exactly what I needed or something similar at this store. On top of that, the employees were helpful. The manager (he may have been the owner) was very nice. He asked me how I like the store and I gave him my feedback. They definitely earned a new customer this past Saturday.

This time, I opened it in the store, and it still did not fit. I immediately showed it to the employees at the register, and they could clearly see that the item did not fit as intended. Despite witnessing the issue, they refused to offer an exchange, refund, or any solution. The employee told me that I should have asked them to open it before purchasing, even though I had no reason to believe there was a problem with the product. I am very disappointed with the lack of customer service and unwillingness to stand behind the products they sell. Because of this experience, I will not be shopping here again and cannot recommend this store to others.
