Where I think this piggly excels is their coffee and beer selection. The coffee aisle has a lot of local coffee beans, and outside of Whole Foods it's hard to find a lot of whole bean coffee. It's one of the main reasons I frequent this piggly so often! They also have a great beer selection that's stocked with the latest releases.

The placement of items seems so random to me, and unituitive. Why are there peanut butter cups and harissa above frozen vegetables? Why are cookies over nearly everything frozen from dinner entrees to breakfasts? It can be a little frustrating for 'compartmental shoppers.' If you want fresh flowers, make sure you go early in the day for the best selection. And if you're going for flowers near the end of the week, be also forewarned that a number of church flower guilds use TJ to create and/or supplement their weekly arrangements because TJ gets some unique flowers in smaller bunches at decent prices.

The employees are always friendly and helpful. This visit in particular Deborah was my cashier and she was very kind. The young man who brought out my order, Jayden (if I understood his name correctly), loaded my groceries efficiently. However, there was very little customer interaction. He approached my vehicle without making eye contact or offering a greeting and only mumbled a request for my barcode. After loading my groceries, he did tell me to have a good day, which I appreciated. I understand that working outside in the heat is challenging, and I genuinely want to extend grace. At the same time, I believe basic customer service goes a long way. A simple greeting, eye contact, and a friendly interaction can make customers feel acknowledged and valued. The pickup process itself was smooth and my order was handled correctly. My feedback is simply that a little more customer engagement would improve the overall experience.

The selection they had seem to be well organized and varied from a pretty good amount of stock on hand to just one or two of an item, I'm sure that based on how quickly that typically sells. I was greeted upon entry, but other than that, I didn't buy anything so I didn't have any additional interactions with the staff. They also do some catering business as well, so check with them if you are looking to cater an event.
