Sparkling ice drink $0.75

I don't usually shop here since I go to places like Walmart and Target so often and can usually find what I'm looking for. Big Lots has lots of food, everyday essentials, and furniture. I usually get snacks and drinks here. The cashiers are here are usually pretty knowledgeable and know about their current deals.

Freaky Frog thingys ! WTH? LOL!

Have you ever in your travels accidentally stumbled across a place that looked normal from the outside but then caught you totally off guard when you went inside ? Big Lots is such a place ! I was looking for a place to turn around when I happened into this little shopping center from a by-gone age. This store has the most bizarre mix of products that I have ever seen in one place. The store is pretty clean and all, but it is just weird as hell ! I mean that though in a good way and if you are just killing time, stop on in here and browse around just to say that you have had the experience. This place reminds me of what stores in the Science-Fiction Hollywood Apocalyptic future will be like ! It will be a time between Mad Max but not yet to Terminator 2. Right before Soylent Green but not yet Omega Man. The polar ice caps melting and the planet turning into Waterworld may have begun. This situation would theoretically yield supply lines that have been disrupted and cause new trade routes connecting odd remains of land masses to be established. Retail trade among human beings will be reduced to stashes of remaining products and what few remaining products of value which can be produced. If you want to see what this looks like...come to this place! The store has odd kitchen supplies, coffee makers, glassware, off brand greeting cards, throw rugs, and also has furniture, toys, pet supplies, gimmick products that failed to be sold on late night television, grooming supplies, garden supplies, auto supplies and super odd foodstuffs. Weird food and snack collections of pickles, olive oils, imported Italian pastas, American penny candy you may have thought was no longer available, cookies, coffee mixes from foreign lands, odd brands of sardines, herring, chips, sugared cereals and an enormous supply of "off-off-off brand soft drinks" (Like off-off-off Broadway productions, you never heard of these). The store is not very big and the layout is like a carnival fun house of mirrors. Each aisle provides a new and totally different surprise and the first time tour if you snake through the place you will hardly be able to guess what you might see next ! My finds of the day were Dad's Root Beer, some inexpensive name brand motor oil, fuel treatment, a 50 dollar Yamaha Drum Machine to make my boy happy and his grandparents crazy (hehee!) and some trippy and cool looking clay pot Tiki God Totem planters. And also Madman's favorite hard to find "end of the world treat"--THE CLARK BAR!! Yaaaaay!! If the world ever turns into Zombieland, don't miss this stop to find your Twinkies or whatever creature comforts that the fall of civilization and the End of Days may provide! It may be the "End of the World as We Know It-- But after 30 minutes in Big Lots-- I FEEL FINE! Well... a little weird and disoriented.. but YES! Fine indeed!

I had the chance to visit this location recently. I must say, it's a great place to catch some live…read moremusic, grab a bite to eat or relax and enjoy a cocktail or beer. There are several restaurants to select from for all budgets and tastebuds and a couple of bars and places that sell sweet treats. Every vendor we encountered had great customer service with a smile and were very helpful as we looked over their menus. There's even an exercise studio on site as well. There is plenty of seating near the stage, and near the restaurants. Most of the restaurants serve you by having you walk to a small window to place your order and when your buzzer goes off, you return to pick it up. We went on a Friday, so it was crowded and a lot of kiddies were running free, lol. We didn't get to stay to hear the band, but will vowed to return on another evening to check out the entertainment. The big screen had the Master's Tournament on for those that wanted to view it. I remember there were other vendors located there I was interested in trying out when The Edge first opened that are no longer there. Overall I enjoyed my visit here and look forward to my next one. Pro Tip: Check their website to view current tenants. They seem to change frequently.

The Edge is LEGIT!! I really like it here and enjoyed myself…read more My first time here , recently was such a nice time. I have zero complaints. This gem is a great addition to the area! . It's perfect to grab some food, a cocktail , a sweet treat or coffee... you name it! There's something for everyone! I especially like the large screen. I envisioned myself watching some Alabama football in the fall! Roll Tide. But yeah , I know I'll be back at The Edge for some more fun in the sun!!! Highly recommend and it's great for families!
