This is a pretty solid Publix overall. Some staff members can be questionable at times, however, the majority represent their store well. The store isn't typically overcrowded and most, if not all, items on my list are found during my visits. read more

This is my favorite Publix by far. I have debilitating chronic anxiety which makes it hard for me to grocery shop for myself but I can always count on this location to make me feel comfortable. Every time I go it's never busy and every employee that I've encountered is so sweet and endearing. Craig in the seafood department is so helpful and genuine he made my experience today so wonderful! I even get my prescriptions filled at their pharmacy and the pharmacy techs are always so helpful, understanding, and fast. This type of service is rare and I avoid other stores because I always have a horrible experience with rude customers, employees, and everything is so dirty but it's the exact opposite here! read more

I've been going to this Walmart for 10 years. They let you return almost anything, even without a receipt if you go directly to the service counter. There is one woman who is not so nice. She has blonde hair. The best thing about this Walmart is that they have the German bread that I'm looking for and can find nowhere in Birmingham so far. "mestemacher"- super healthy and good toasted as open sandwich. They also have my favorite apples, ambrosia. The cheapest bananas I've ever seen!! 51c/lb. And they are good bananas in my opinion. There's a friendly neighborhood feeling at this Publix because it's pretty far from downtown I think, which is nice if you like that. The cashiers are really fast, of course. Still I wish they would even out the bags. I give them three bags and they put everything in one bag which is super heavy. So I just end up packing everything. Oh well!! read more

This is my favorite grocery store to shop at. One of the things I've enjoyed about this place is their BOGO offers. You don't have to buy two to get the deal because both items are half-priced. So you can just buy 1 of the items that's BOGO & it'll ring up as 1/2 price. I have liked the Publix brand of any item I've gotten. Publix is a employee owned company. Lastly, their deli serves really good fried chicken, chicken tenders, & their sub sandwiches are excellent because they use Boar's Head products. read more

I go here all the time. I hardly ever have to wait in line long and there's always someone to show me where to get some thing. The produce is excellent. Also you can return some thing even without a receipt! They are really friendly too read more

Publix Super Markets - Flowers from the florist, very fresh and healthy - Drugstores Near Me - Birmingham, Alabama

I cant remember being compelled to review a grocery store. This Publix location is the best grocery store I've shopped at in Birmingham AL. The staff was very helpful and considerate. I found everything I was looking for which is unusual when buying a large buggy of groceries. read more

It's 9:15 PM. It's 72* outside. For the love of God, please turn off the heat! Your store is too hot! Perhaps that's why your fridge for the FreshPet dog food can't keep the bags from spoiling. Strike two buying food my dog can't eat and I've had to return. Also should not take 20 minutes to get a deli sandwich when there are two customers during off peak sandwich making hours. I shop here because it's convenient, but honestly, now that Walmart has a Subway, I might have to reconsider the convenience factor. 05/30/18 UPDATE: Attn: Publix Corporate Headquarters THIS STORE IS TOO HOT!! It is now summertime in the south. I walked in the other night to grab a couple things at @ 8:30 and the HEAT was on!! I implore you to adjust the thermostat accordingly. Please!!!! read more

This store has an excellent staff of helpful people who seem to really take Publix slogan to heart. Thanks! read more

Publix Super Markets - Storefront - Drugstores Near Me - Birmingham, Alabama

I visit this Publix location all the time and it is my favorite place to shop even though it's not the closest store for me. The location is so easy and convenient. They always have great stock and the associates in the meat department are always happy to cut meat for me when I don't see exactly what I need in the case. The staff is always great and I always leave with a smile on my face. Love this Publix location!!! read more

What a treat to have such a constant in staff that they get to know you more each time you shop. The store is always clean and everyone is always so friendly. As far as the other reviewer, I'm no sure what they are always out of that they need, but I've not had this problem. But I do shop several stores besides Publix for my food. read more

This is our favorite grocery store! We've made friends with our cashiers and baggers! Everyone knows that my toddler is wild and graciously smile when he picks up the phone and talks over the PA system, haha! I'm usually asked "where's your son" when i take a quick mommy trip! Everyone is so helpful and so kind, we've not once had a bad experience! We use the pharmacy as well, always super friendly and accommodating! The only thing that I would LOVE to see from Publix is a larger selection of vegan products! There's a great selection already, but to keep up with all of the awesome new products that are being released! Other than that, top notch grocery! read more

Publix is Publix. There are a few things I don't like about this location. One: They don't carry some items that I have only been able to find in other Publix stores. Two: Getting in and parking is often a nightmare. I've never seen so many Beamer and Lexus yuppies who can't drive or park straight. However, the staff in this location is always very friendly and don't look like they are miserable. read more

Didn't even think about reviewing a grocery store before but I have to give it a fair review opportunity. I do some grocery shopping here and they typically have everything I need and it's always easy to find what I need. The produce is always fresh. The Publix fresh made food items are typically really good. The chicken Cesar salad and pasta salads are decently priced for the portions. You pretty much need to buy extra lettuce for the chicken Caesar salad because they give you so much chicken. Their sandwiches are always really fresh because they get all their produce and meats from the produce section and deli. It is a little disproportionate since their bread takes up so much of the sandwich. I typically take either the top or bottom piece of bread off and eat it open faced. Value is important and you get plenty of food for your dollar. Their chicken finger sandwich comes with plenty of meat. For me it is literally two meals. They have a little bit of seating so you can stay and eat your food. The employees are always polite and helpful. A solid four stars. read more

The produce is lacking. I don't mind Publix but sometimes I need something and they either do not have it or it is wilted. The people who work there are very nice and I like the greenwise section. The prices are reasonable sometimes but I usually don't feel like I am getting a "deal" unless I have coupons. Which are what you need, then you will save a lot at Publix. read more

I love this place! The workers are always courteous with a nice big smile. The store is always clean and the fruit is impeccable! Never had a bad experience at any Publix! Glad Publix finally made it's way throughout the state of Alabama! The deli is always well trained and prompt with your order. Forever a fan of Publix, but at times they can be pricey! Wish all businesses employees were so helpful and caring for the customer! read more
