The only negative thing I have to say is beware of the requirement to provide a 30 day notice before you decide to empty your storage. All of the other storage facilities that I've used didn't require a 30 day notice. So when I went into the office to close my account, I was asked if I gave my 30 day notice. As she asked that, I vaguely remembered going over that when signing the contract with them. It was definitely my fault. I just want to warn people so they don't make the same mistake, because they will charge you an extra month. So I'm paying for a unit that I'm not even using. Other than that, this place is pretty good.

I almost don't know how to write this review, and the biggest reason why is that I feel like I…read morewould not be able to do my experience with Sierra College Self Storage any justice. Here it goes... Let's start with the fact that I had called SCSS on New Years Eve at approximately 12:30 pm, and I had come to discover that the office had closed about 30 minutes prior for the holiday. They offered to stay and wait for me to show me around. I had declined, but the offer itself was very generous! I had told them I would be back that week... Later that week, we had stopped by to take a tour of the place. Very, very, very, very clean! It was like it was a brand new facility. I had known about this facility for some time and remember when it had opened what seems like a decade ago and it still looks like it had just opened. The security features of the facility are top notch for its price level! I loved how each unit has fire sprinklers... you may say "Well what if your stuff gets wet?" I would rather it get wet than get burned, at least you can still tell what it was! The facility is well laid out, and they even make sure that plastic mats are laid down in each unit to minimize moisture! That's huge! In my opinion, the most important aspect of a storage unit is the management. I have yet to meet his wife, but Sonny is on another level of service. He is so nice, super accommodating, easy to talk to, and he runs a tight ship! When we signed for the storage unit, it was raining A LOT and was gusty, yet Sonny jumped into his cart and immediately cleaned out our unit and dried it off and left towels for us so that we could dry anything we needed. He really made us feel right at home from the very beginning. I can't say enough good things about this man. I have opted to bring in a check for all of my payments rather than opting for automatic payments so that I can catch up with Sonny and the rest of his staff.

I was pretty distraught when I had to rent a unit because I was losing my apartment due to a huge rent increase. Andy, the manager, was very kind and understanding during such a tough time. There were days that I went in to check my storage and he'd always come around while he was on there rounds, to ask how life was going for me. He always had a smile and would tell me "things were going to get better", and they finally did . Andy made my whole experience easy from choosing a unit to filling out the paperwork. I had my unit for 4yrs! Every time I went in or called to pay my bill, Andy and his staff we're always efficient and provided excellent communication with courtesy calls regarding my upcoming bill and to process my payment; they did so to help prevent me from paying late fees. How many businesses Do that?! I never had Any problems the entire 4yrs I had my storage unit with them. I recommend Taylor Road Storage to anybody and everybody. You cannot get excellent customer service anywhere else. Thank you Andy, for being there to help me and console me during some rough times.
