Drove through Winthrop but something made me pick twisp as my spot to stop and gas up. Then found this gem on Yelp as the only place open in town at the hour. And wow!!! Thoroughly happy with my decision to stop in Twisp! I ordered a bacon breakfast bagel. Made with garlic aioli and beautifully melted cheese, the sandwich was stellar. And the "everything" bagel was tasty. But that Cinnamon Twisp. Whoa. That thing was outrageously delicious. I wish I had eaten it then and there when it was warm and fresh. Went on a Sunday and although the line was out the door, it moved pretty quick. Got a bacon egg-el which was good. The true stars were the cinnamon twisp (still warm) which literally melts in your mouth. Also on the recommendation of someone in line next to us we got the chocolate eclair. So good it's sinful. Wowsers!!! The Cinnamon Twisps are the bomb diggity! We stopped in after seeing all the great yelp reviews and we are sooo glad we did. I got three Cinnamon Twisps, (put two in our freezer) but completely devoured the one. Lots of cinnamon and just the right sweetness. Also got an almond joy cookie that I really liked. I am thinking it was made with more almond meal rather than a lot of flour. Really loved the seedy bar. Got a brownie and two eclairs that were ok. Nothing was very sweet, so don't expect sweet. Think in terms of a healthier choice baked good. What I love is that they use organic ingredients which is what I use at home so I was delighted. Plus they list all ingredients under each item. It looks like the shakes are a big hit, saw many being sold. My man loved his 'cowboy mud coffee', he likes strong coffee. They offer drip and a variety of espresso type coffees. It is a locals hangout and we found all that we talked to very friendly. Had a great time touring Twisp and Winthrop with friends during a nice fall day, and visiting establishments like this made it nice. My friends stopped here to pick up some fresh bread. I ended up picking up a cool blue T-shirt. The bakery was bustling when we were here, as there was a line of hungry customers. The dining area was cozy and adorned with some pretty cool local art. We were there for two nights and went to the bakery twice while we were there. First time, we went on a Saturday. What a line! But well worth it! We got a cherry strudel, fruit danish, blueberry scone and some cookies. Everything was wonderful!!! Clean restaurant and friendly, efficient staff. Went back on Sunday. We thought it would be busy again but there was no line. There also weren't nearly as many pastries as the day before. We tried a couple new things, including a delicious Asiago bagel.
