Been here a few times and generally pretty happy. I can always count on a good sandwich. The outside can definitely use some work to make it more comfortable and appeasing to the eye but that's not a reflection of the food. What brings me to my review though is my most recent visit (today). I ordered a sandwich, croissant, 2 applesauce pouches and a bottled water. The price they charged me for the pouches and the sandwich were not consistent with the price listed on the menu/signage. When I said something it was met with awkward eye glances, snickers and distaste. It's not the price that I was bothered by, it was the fact that it did not match what was advertised and I was made to feel like a bother when I politely pointed it out read more

Super cute little stop! Great parking, and parking for a trailer which was nice. We got the brick oven pizza The Carne, great flavor! Also got a dirty soda and some bakery items. Stayed at Howard's Inn for a basketball tournament and went over to the Bakery for something for breakfast. Got a great ham and cheese croissant and coffee. Really happy with how good the croissant was for only $5. Then that evening we needed something for dinner and realized that the bakery also does pizza! Excellent raspberry turnovers! There is so much more to this "bakery" than meets the eye. They have breakfast items, lunch, sandwiches, pizza, salads, soup and I'm sure a few other things that could satisfy your craving. The bakery items looked amazing and I absolutely loved the turnover. My breakfast burrito had almost no flavor and was very bland until I added some hot sauce. I won't get that again. My husband got a turkey sandwich and he said it was very good. The outdoor seating is plentiful with shade and sun options. I did not see indoor seating. You order up at the counter and then given a vibrating pager that goes off when your order is ready. Stopped for a pastry as I have many times. Ordered a sticky bun to go ($5 with tip) upon getting into it on the road, found it to be so dry and hard it was inedible! Stopped here after a glamping night under the stars. After living in a cramped RV for 24 hours some good coffee was needed and this place did not disappoint. I'm a total snob when it comes to coffee and grind my own at home, so it's awesome when I'm impressed by barista skills. I got an iced Americano with vanilla and splash of cream.. It was strong and not too sweet, perfect! I also had the spicy breakfast sandwich which was delicious, crispy and buttery, and definitely not diet food. We also shared a cinnamon bun (yum). The guy that handed me my order was super friendly. We didn't have time to stay, and that's a shame because they have a lovely outdoor area right on the river. Best bakery. It is not quite the selection you might see for some bakeries as far as donuts, but still has good selection of breakfast pastries to choose from and excellent sandwiches and pizza. My wife and I stopped at this darling bakery while road tripping. Free parking can be found in the parking lot. Credit cards are accepted but have a surcharge added for their use. Bring cash to avoid this silly up-charge. In the bakery one will find espressos, local beer and wine, sandwiches and brick oven pizza. There is a large outdoor seating area in the back to enjoy sips and eats in the warmer months. We arrived close to 3pm, just in time for Brick Oven Pizza's to start being made. We shared a personal size (7") BAKER'S SUPREME for $10.70: red sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, Italian sausage, black olives, green peppers and mushrooms. An absolutely savory pizza generously topped with fresh ingredients and loaded with cheese. While enjoying our pizza, we witnessed a constant string of people stopping in for a variety of baked goods to be enjoyed outside or at their homes. Keep up the sweet work SweetRiver. read more

Wonderful food. Stayed at Howard's on the river. Called and ordered food to go. Just a 5 minute walk. Only took 20 minutes. Also got a loaf of their 5 grain fresh bread. Delicious. Came here on a saturday night and this place was LIT! Amazing live music untill 10 pm, people were dancing and having an awesome time. The food is pricy though but I guess its justified because of the ambience. We got veggilicious pizza which was loaded with cheese and veggies! They also sell wine in cans which was great. We really enjoyed our visit especially because this was right down the street from our hotel so very convenient walk. read more

Stumbled on this bakery cafe a few weeks ago when I stopped to stretch my legs walking the waterfront in Pateros during a road trip one morning. Delightful discovery! Enjoyed the best coffee with a tasty fresh pastry. The menu was enticing and decided to go back and pick up a pizza for dinner today. The garlic olive oil instead of red sauce was great! Perfect crust. It's a small place, counter service, friendly staff. Local and cozy. I was impressed with the set up they have taken for safety measures. They have a window for ordering and a window for picking up and staff was lovely and quite friendly. It was probably the best cinnamon roll I have ever tasted and I regret not getting more to take on the road with me. The chai tea I ordered however tasted like it was just steamed milk, so I think the chai tea was accidentally left out. Nonetheless an awesome breakfast place! We have made this a stop for many years and I would have given it more stars in the past. But, something's changed. This trip I was shocked by the extremely dirty bathroom and the rudeness of the staff. Even the food has become more bland and doesn't live up to past experiences. Guy making the coffee, really nice with good customer service. I ordered cinnamon twist to share with a friend and the lady who served bent it half and stuffed it in a paper sack and in the process left sticky stuff on the outside of the bag. She was offended when I declined to take it that way. Didn't ask if I was eating there or to go. Some other people have written reviews with a similar experience. Fantastic pizza - some of the best I've had in a long time. Great flavors and a perfectly crafted crust. Note that with COVID operating hours they close at 7pm, not 8pm and they don't have a ton of people working. It might be faster if you order online or via phone maybe half an hour before you want to eat. We brought our patience but unfortunately I can't say the same for all the customers today. While we were waiting for our food we had to witness several rude and entitled customers. The person working handled it very graciously. He apologized and stayed calm, despite the anger from the woman. To me, this showed great customer service and with this plus the quality of food, I would definitely go back to eat here!
