We ran into this little coffee bar while walking with my nieces to get some NYC souvenirs. From the arrival the place felt inviting and warm and the staff were friendly. I asked the barista what they recommended as a sweet treat and they suggested the Caramellino and let me tell you it was equally as beautiful to look at as it was to taste! They had a menu with several food items that sounded, and looked, tasty but I was just there for the coffee. My nieces were equally as impressed by the presentation of the drink. They had a very nice size seating area past the bar and had window bar seating by the entry so it was a lot larger than it seems. The cost is a bit higher but you're paying for the experience of an elevated coffee and the presentation and taste definitely made it worth the cost. Give them a try, I'd definitely take them over Starbucks!

Food/drinks: pretty good! Tried their tiramisu cold brew, the cold foam on top was more like a thick cream but still tasty! Would come back to work and try their pastries Atmosphere: LOTS of seating, good for working! WiFi is strong Service: really friendly service Price: $$$ pricey it was ~$10 for my cold brew

My friend and I stopped by Cinico for a mid-day coffee. There is an option to order at a kiosk, which was convenient! This Italian coffee shop is known for their CAPPUCINICO drink, but I opted for a COLD BREW (5.50) after a heavy lunch. The cold brew came in a tall 16 oz. glass if you dine-in. I thought it was way too bitter (over-steeped, maybe?) and there was no lasting aftertaste that made it bearable. The interior itself is spacious and roomy with many seating areas that's comfortable for co-working or catching up with a friend.

Flaky croissant and yummy coffee, definitely a good stop to make in the morning. It has a cute seating area if you want stay to enjoy your meal

So here's some info to put your expectations in the right place. The service was incredible. They are here to serve. Friendly, respectable, capable. The walls are a well done faux finish - it's not concrete. Some things come in plastic ware. If that's an issue for you, I'd just let them know I'm sure they will accommodate. I would go early - esp if your party is more than two. The coffee was delish and beautiful. They have a great menu. Some work was being done on the hvac and the ceiling was open but it wasn't even noticeable, I only saw it on the way out. So they are keeping it pretty tidy- I imagine things are continuing to improve. Some of the pics make it look giant inside but it's cozy. Even crowded the noise level was still low enough for decent conversation.

Cinico isn't horrible, but it isn't great. It photographs well, so my expectations walking in were very high from previous review pictures. Everything looks like it should be high-end, especially being on Madison Avenue, but when you see it in real life it doesn't feel as lux as you were expecting. My latte came in a plastic cup, which was surprising. The pastries were pretty good, though my sandwich was very salty. I'm not sure if it was the prosciutto or eggs that were over salted, but I could only eat half of my sandwich. The staff were very friendly. For the price point, Cinico was not worth it in my opinion, both for experience, atmosphere, and food. At about 10am on a Wednesday it was extremely crowded, though I'm not sure why. Perhaps if I didn't have any expectations, my first experience would've been better.

Lunch special

A comfortable, upscale and absolutely stunning cafe! I turned to Yelp while in the city to find a cafe I could grab a coffee, lunch and also take my laptop out and get some work done. Luckily, my trusted app pointed me here. They had plenty of inside seating, both along the counter at the window and tables, and even some tables outside. The lunch combo caught my eye, so for $20 I got an incredibly delicious focaccia sandwich and a creamy cappuccino. La Rustichella came with smoked turkey, brie and grilled artichoke. The bread was so crispy, covered in rosemarry and a little oil. Oof, it was good. The baristas and servers were lovely, helpful with recommendations, wifi passwords, never rushed me after I finished my meal. Honestly, it was a great find. A solid place for an affordable solo lunch, coffee and a bit of work.

Latte with hazelnut

We ordered a flat white and a latte with hazelnut. The service was wonderful. From the moment I stepped in the lady barista greeted me warmly and helped me. I even had questions and she didn't rush to answer questions. And I noticed while I was waiting for my drinks, she said goodbye to every person who walked. I loved the vibe. I would definitely come back and sit to do work. Super cute place. Our drinks were great! Hit the spot for our early morning!

I've only recently started drinking coffee, so on our last day in New York City, I knew I wanted to grab as special and fancy a cup as I could find. We'd just finished breakfast and were walking to our next destination when we stumbled upon Cinico. They had plenty of promising concoctions on their menu, but I was drawn to the Cappuccinico ("our interpretation of the classic cappuccino with shaved dark chocolate flakes, garnished with 24K gold leaf"). At $11, it's obviously the most expensive coffee I've ever tried. But you know what? It was worth the cost because it's one extravagant, delicious cup of joe. The coffee itself is really flavorful and rich, while the other components, including small chewy coffee beans, enhance the experience. Plus you get to feel fancy drinking flakes of gold. I'm glad we took the time to stop into Cinico. The service was great, and it's a cool little place.

White Velvet Latte (left) Espresso Tonic (right)

Cinico is an Italian coffee shop in Midtown with a beautiful space featuring clear tables, gold accents, and a clean aesthetic. Ordering is convenient with two kiosks for customization, but you can also order directly with the baristas. *Espresso Tonic $9 | 9.5/10: double shot of espresso, tasted great, would have liked actual citrus in the drink instead of just a lemon slice *White Velvet Latte $9 | 9/10: opted for oat milk, not too sweet, strong coffee flavor, well-balanced *La Nordica $19 | 2/10: smoked salmon, ricotta, capers on focaccia, bread was not toasted, bottom was soggy, lacked flavor and complexity, expected more at this price point I'd definitely return for the coffee, but there were some mishaps. I ordered through the kiosk and paid via app, but my order never made it into their system. After 15 minutes of waiting, I had to ask about it. The barista was apologetic and offered me chocolate truffles, which I declined. It wasn't their fault, but I wish someone had checked on me instead of me having to follow up. Overall, great coffee, friendly staff, but food needs improvement

CappuCINICO
Stefanie C.

Fancy cafe with plenty of indoor seating! Good for groups or working. Came here just to try the CappuCINICO. I did not pronounce it correctly, and I was quick to be corrected. Honestly it was tasty but as good as a regularly-priced latte. You're really paying for getting gold glitter everywhere. I also had the Pistachio Soufflé, which was SO good! It was filling and quite dry by itself, so I had to perfectly portion my coffee to have enough to wash it all down. I would definitely come back to Cinico for the impressive pastries and a REGULAR latte. Or one of their sandwiches.

So fabulous!! Everything is delicious!! Try it all. You won't be disappointed. We got the lunch special which is a great value. And the mini pistachio cream croissant. Omg so good!!!

Nutella Croissant Tiramisu Croissant
Lauren B.

My local sister says this place is always busy and I can see why. It has nutella everything. I had a nutella latte which was actually not overwhelming but just the right amount. They did take some time to sort out who needed what but overall a good experience. Had lots of food options - we tried the nutella and tiramisu croissants. If you want a sweet start to the morning, definitely recommend!

Lo and behold, she did have a table for us - as long as we were out in an hour and a half, which was just the right amount of time. Stepping into this place feels like you're in some secret, super special cocktail club. Decor is super high end, vibes are upscale AF. The cocktail menu is incredible -- and incredibly pricey, but truly worth it. I ordered the Valentino which was strong and sweet, really well made. They gave out a complimentary nut mix that was also delicious. Service was swift and gracious. If you're looking for a spot to impress a date, this is it.

The mint Moroccan tea gave the drink a cool, refreshing taste on every sip. I also tried the Silver Screen, the closest drink I could find to an old fashioned. It was interesting, there was definitely a hint of a buttery taste. Overall a really balanced bourbon drink. I walked in and found room at the standing tables. A bar seat eventually opened up but I was already on my second drink by then. Definitely make reservations if you're planning a visit!

The bar seating was plentiful and comfortable. There is plenty of space for people to stand behind the bar or a high top tables enjoying happy hour after work. If you go at 4:30 or 5, it's a bit calmer as the after work crowd trickles in. And as the evening went on, it started to get more and more packed, and it became a really lively vibe. After my friend left for another function, I stuck around a little bit longer for a little solo dinner. I had a glass of Prosecco off the happy hour menu followed by a dirty martini, and I did request to look at their full dinner menu because there was a couple items that I wanted to try. I wanted to try the duck Ragu and halloumi cheese, both of which were absolutely fantastic. The halloumi cheese was perfectly grilled and flavorful, and the duck Ragu was very comforting. I highly recommend both dishes. I ended up chatting with a woman sitting next to me who happened to work with select apertivo, and next thing I know one of the bartenders handed me a lovely bright cocktail to try on the house. It was a refreshing bubbly Barlume spritz that I'll definitely have to get again next time. Overall, I had a really great time at Barlume. The service was excellent from the servers and the bartenders, and they were all very attentive, personable and friendly throughout the evening. We had a nice table tucked in to a corner where we had a view of the kitchen and could sit next to each other on the bench seat. Our primary server, Luis, was helpful and lovely. Shoutout to Chris who not only tended bar but worked the floor and to the lovely hostess whose name I wish I had gotten. But really the whole staff was just A+++. We shared the crispy artichokes (outstanding) and the cacio e Pepe arancini (where the fried parsley was especially unique and delicious) to start. I had the eggplant parmesan which reminded me of an eggplant dish I had in Venice -- but better. My husband had the ricotta cavatelli which was also great. For dessert I had the olive oil cake accompanied by lemon curd and --wait for it -- rosemary gelato. I was skeptical about this gelato, but it turned out to be a wonderfully fantastic surprise! My husband had the Apple Crostata which was also fantastic. The limoncello was a perfect way to end the meal. The server was inattentive and took a while to take our orders. We had to ask her for water three times, searching for her across the room in an attempt to catch her attention. She was a bit absent during the two-ish hours we were there. On the bright side, the drinks were fairly good. I ordered this strawberry vodka cocktail topped with whole mint. I'm wary of vodka for its harsh, unpleasant taste, but I found this drink to actually be very pleasant, tasing like a fruit smoothie you'd get from a local juicer. There was also a burgundy drink served on a wine glass that tasted like the holidays. I liked that one quite a bit. Overall, Oscar Wilde was an okay experience.
