This is certainly not what I ordered. The game is ice cold.

This is one of my go to spots for SDCC. A lot of options to choose from. I do want to warn you that they get your order wrong. Today I got the Mama Alicia Coddled Breakfast Crossanwich. I asked for no bacon but add sausage. I cannot eat pork as I get bad stomach issues sadly. The guy I ordered from kept saying bagel and I would say no Croissant and I showed him the menu. He told me it's a new menu. The. I looked at my receipt and it said bagel so I had to go back and tell him. It also cost more than what it is posted. I got my food and back in line to find that I got ice cold ham and no Avocado, Tomato and Cream Cheese. Oh well. Last year I waited forever for my breakfast burrito and it was completely wrong. Oh well right?

Look no further for great sandwiches! I ordered a classic turkey sandwich and it was so fresh. It's also such a convenient spot since it also has a wide selection of drinks and snacks.

For having spent a lot of time in San Diego, I haven't spent much time downtown. So I went for a wander for a bit of breakfast and actually went in because I saw they had drinks and snacks. When I walked in, I could smell the deli so I had to try it. Even though I knew it would be too big, I went for the Breakfast Burrito. I went for just bacon because all the meats seemed a bit much. It comes with tomatoes, peppers, and onions. They also asked if I wanted salsa, which of course I did. It was made fresh and it was delicious. I didn't manage to finish the whole thing but it was so filling! I definitely want to come back and try their other sandwiches. The staff were really friendly as well.

It's basically a liquor store slash bodega slash deli slash convenience stores slash whatever you call it in your area lol It's a great place especially for breakfast during comic con as you can get a lot of fresh breakfast items like sandwiches or bagels or burritos or even salads along with other items like soda, chips, ice cream, snacks for your comic con needs But I can see this also as your local go to place to grab a good sized meal for your lunch as well Service was standard and the ambience is a bit messy it could use a cleanup or tidy up honestly but it's fine

Great value, friendly people. I had a breakfast sandwich and coffee, great price and delicious

Great little (actually not that little) deli, convenience items, liquor....oh and ice cream! Been in multiple times and generally really great service. Fun energy. Got a sandwich made for the first time and it was huge. Full of fresh veggies and crispy bacon. I couldn't finish it. Made by a sweet woman who definitely puts love into these sandwiches!

Wow this place is amazing. It's a liquor store slash convenience store slash deli! The Ham egg and cheese breakfast sandwich was made fresh and was delicious! The location was great for us since we stayed at the Hilton Gaslamp across the street. Do not pass by this place based on appearance!

WHEN: Thursday @1pm It's a damn shame I have no written a Yelp review for Cine Cafe. My apologies :( I used to go here every year for San Diego Comic-Con. This has been my number one go to for lunch for a few reasons: + Hecka bomb sandwiches + They also sell alcohol + THERE IS NO LONE LINE FOR FOOD + Prices are reasonable But its been awhile due to the pandemic. However, since I decided to vacation in San Diego, I thought I still swing by for my usual sandwich: NEW YORK - $11.99 Corned Beef, Pastrami, Swiss, Sauerkraut, 1000 Island & Mustard. Although its not as hefty as I remember, it's still a solid sandwich. Slightly warm and so full of flavor and dressing. PERFECT. I love this sandwich so much. I noticed they've renovated the place to a new layout with new LCD screens for menus. They all sorts of things you'd find in a convenient store. Staff is always friendly and prices are reasonable for the area. Hope to see you again soon!

Walking distance from our hotel. Before calling it a night, we went in to buy some water, chips and booze. Okay so far, not that busy. Social distancing and masks are required.

This place was a combo of corner street liquor store, bodega and convince store all in one. It was a close walk to the convention center and most of the hotels. I went in pretty early in the morning to pick up breakfast and lunch as I was going to have a busy day. The breakfast burrito was massive but so good. Highly suggest if you want a filling and tasty start to your day. I also picked up a BBQ wrap and it was also pretty good, I can't rate as accurate because I ate when cold after a few hours but even then pretty solid at room temp. But if it was anything like the breakfast when hot I'm sure it would have been great. Only comment I will make is that it was very obvious the woman in the back making the food needed some help so if there are a lot of people I would expect it to be slow.

I heard they're going to start serving beer and wine soon as well! *Best 1st-timer options*: The Keeper (if you like it spicy) or the L.G.B.T. My favorite hot sandwiches are the Cali Cubano, B3, and The Keeper, while my favorite cold sandwiches are the Avocado Highway, L.G.B.T. (lettuce, gouda, bacon, tomato), and Caprese. My favorite salads are the Grapevine and Duck Cranberry. For sides I recommend the potato salad and tomato basil bisque. The aioli they use is to die for -- can't hurt to get a side of it with any sandwich! The restaurant is situated on the corner of Park Blvd. and Polk Ave. (more generally, it's on the strip of Park Blvd. between University Ave. and El Cajon Blvd.). There is usually a good amount of parking on Park Blvd. and Polk Ave., which is nice. The space has a simple-yet-tasteful modern design and interior, is always clean, with friendly and helpful staff. Great for lunch hour or a weekend date. Update: Came back today with my friend and we ordered the B3 and the Turkey & Cheddar Mousse sandwiches, plus sides of potato salad and cucumber salad, and a double chocolate cookie with pistachio and sea salt. Everything was really good, but the Turkey & Cheddar Mousse sandwich was the star of the show. The cookie was great too. We both agreed the potato salad could use some salt, but besides that it was a solid meal all around.

On the first visit, Zack provided exceptional care and attention while helping navigate food allergies. Zack took the time to carefully check ingredients, double-check preparations, and personally come back out to verify everything to ensure safety. That level of care made the experience feel genuinely welcoming and stress-free. The chicken sandwich was fresh, satisfying, and thoughtfully balanced. Juicy chicken, ripe tomatoes, creamy avocado, and a bright splash of oil and vinegar came together beautifully on Big Front Door's roll, which had a great texture and held everything together well. The flavors were clean and vibrant. A little extra salt would have pushed it over the top for a salt-lover, but that came down to personal preference rather than any shortcoming. A dining companion ordered the avocado sandwich and could not stop raving about it, praising both the flavor and the freshness. The outdoor seating area deserves special mention. The shaded space was perfect as I do have sun allergies, especially for anyone who prefers relief from direct sun. The care taken in food preparation added an extra layer of comfort and trust. The second visit somehow raised the bar even higher. Micah went above and beyond to accommodate physical ability needs with patience, attentiveness, and genuine kindness. That effort did not go unnoticed and made the experience feel deeply respectful and inclusive. The roasted chicken sandwich ordered on the second visit was phenomenal. The roasted chicken was tender, savory, and full of depth, elevating the sandwich even further. Adding a bit of extra salt brought all the ingredients into perfect harmony, making every bite more satisfying than the last. This sandwich has officially earned a spot as a new favorite sandwich. Big Front Door was amazing not just for delicious, thoughtfully prepared food, but for the people who work there. Zack and Micah created an environment where care, kindness, and respect were clearly prioritized. No moment felt rushed, dismissive, or uncomfortable. At no point did anyone make the experience feel like a burden or inconvenience. A sincere thank-you also goes to the team members who prepared the food. Even without knowing names, the care taken to keep guests safer while serving delicious nourishment was evident and deeply appreciated. Big Front Door comes highly recommended for the flavorful sandwiches, the shaded outdoor space, the welcoming atmosphere, outstanding customer service, and the genuine kindness shown at every action.

I still try to stop by every few months as this place holds a special place in my heart. A no frills spot. Solid and consistent. To the point but friendly customer service. Fantastic drink, chip and snack selection. Sandwiches are always bomb asf. The hot momma and BLT loaded up is my favorite. My husband still loves their Ruben (it is his favorite place to get it.) You get a small potato or macaroni salad on the side with a pickle (perfect crunch.) I personally think it's a great little add on. Their chili is also simple but delicious. I personally think their chili pairs perfectly with any of their sandwiches. It's not a heavy thick chili. Which is why I think it pairs so well. I won't lie it's a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. It's loaded up and good quality. I never feel gross or overly bloated after eating here. I used to frequent Fatboy's because it was close and convenient for a long time, but I am rarely able to visit anymore... parking is a bigger challenge every day in North Park, and finding even a 15-minute spot takes way longer than the drive for me now (but the walk is too far to pick up a quick meal). Today I was down the street for something else so decided to order a sandwich. I was excited, then my jaw dropped when I saw the price increases. It's $18 for the North Park Club now, with no extras. I already had a hard time justifying $15 for a sandwich but I'm officially, 100% priced out now. I know it's not necessarily on the business owners; rent is exorbitant in NP, profit margins are small in the food service industry, and operating costs are high. Our city is eating itself alive, but thank you for the years of sandwiches!

For the main event, the baked lasagna is a must-try. It's rich, cheesy, and packed with flavor. We also ended up ordering three different pizzas because we couldn't decide: The Works (massively loaded with pepperoni, sausage, onions and mushrooms), the White, and the Vegetarian. The crust holds up beautifully under the toppings, and the garlic profile on the white pie was incredible. Make sure you save room for a cannoli at the end. The shell is perfectly crunchy, and the filling is smooth and creamy. The services was excellent. The waiter was very attentive and made sure our drinks were kept filled.
