    Empty tacos

This is a poor excuse for tacos and guac. I ordered delivery and this is how they had the nerve to send my food. I paid for a side of guac and they gave me a table spoon amount. The "tacos" were just soggy fish thrown in 2 tortillas, no onions, no cilantro, nothing. Reference pictures. The only reason I gave this 2 stars instead of 1 is because maybe this happened b/c it was delivery and not eat in? If you eat food from this place, DON'T do delivery. Definitely eat in. Great prices for pretty good portions. The chicken fajita comes with a container of chicken, peppers, mushrooms, onions, and a cut up hot dog. It comes with a second container of rice and beans. And 3 warm fresh tortillas. The burritos are very large. The cactus is good. Delivery is fast.

It's about time I wrote a review for this place. I thought I did, but I guess I only ever did "checking in." Granted this isn't the nicest looking part of New Brunswick, but this place has to be tried and visited. It is authentically Mexican. From the decor, to the music, to the food and clientele, I feel like I'm back in Mexico City. But let's talk about the food. I haven't had anything bad or mediocre here yet. I've been eating at this place for close to 3 years with gf and we always come back. They have a huge menu! Their burritos are worth alone the trip! I started trying other typical Mexican dishes and I haven't been let down. Seriously, stop going to Chevys or Chipotle and try real tacos, burritos, caldo de pollo, etc. Best part is they have their own parking lot! Give this mom and pop place some business! Small businesses are America's back bone!

Great place for authentic Mexican food. Tons of options, prices are good. They have some tables set up for outdoor dining.

Dine in, carry out or delivery. We were in the area, so we decided to stay for lunch. Complimentary chips and dips, nicely spiced. I ordered the special: Chili Rellanos, (with beans and rice) and my guest ordered Flautas de Pollo. They were both delicious, and just as we ordered. The portions are large, and the prices are good. The service was prompt and friendly. A parking lot is available on the side. Try the Horchata, too! Don't overlook this little restaurant.

I'm updating my review because I was overly impressed with Cinco De Mayo last weekend. We had an unexpected group of 13 planned for dinner. I called at 6:30p and asked if they would have room for our group in an hour and they said that would be fine. When we showed up, they had a whole table all set up for us with chips and their three signature salsa's already on the table! I was so surprised by their service since I know large groups can be a hassle when dining out. I can't recommend this place enough for authentic (and cheap!) Mexican food.

    Burrito tex mex!

I can't believe I never went here the 4 years I went to Rutgers! You get a huge portion for such a great price. I got the tex mex burrito vegetarian and I could only eat 3/4, and that's after over eating! The chips and salsa were great, they give you a mild salsa, a spicy one, and pico de gallo. I do agree with everyone else that they do put too much rice in it but I like rice so it didn't bother me. If you like a smoky flavor get the burrito ranchero! My mouth was on cloud 9. But don't expect the decor to be nice or anything, it's literally in the ghetto of New Brunswick. I'm giving it 4 stars cause I found a small hair in my pico de gallo but I forgave them for that.

Make sure to tell then to melt the cheese and not dry out the meat

New cook? The first time I came here it was very yummy but this last time everything was so dry and prepared poorly, The meat in my burrito was so dry I felt like I got beef jerky when really it was supposed to be soft and juicy. I forgot what burrito I got exactly but it was the suadaro inside. I also got al pastor and that just tasted burnt. The cheese on the burritos were not melted either. Very sad experience.

Ordered from them on GrubHub. They gave me the exact time it was going to be here and it arrived here at the very last minute projected. I loved that. Cinco de Mayo called to verify something in my order (I ordered torta ahogada, chicken salad, Mexican tamale, and beet juice). She wanted to verify want kind of ahogada I wanted. She spoke only Spanish. Lucky for her, so did I, but I told her that wasn't a good business model lol. Love the authenticity but if she didn't luck out with a spanish speaker how would we have communicated? Regardless, that torta ahogada and chicken salad was some of the best food I could have expected from a random Mexican place I found on GrubHub. It was so damn good! Arrived fast, good serving size, well seasoned and looked great too. I plan to definitely order more. Excitamundo lol.

This place seems to as authentic as it gets. Don't order something you don't understand. I decided to be adventurous and greatly did not enjoy my order. If you're going to come here, know what you want before hand! I'm going to stay on the friendly side and leave 4 stars.

First, staff is super -super nice!! helpful when trying to decide what to order. Mini Me and I both chose three tacos carne asada with the smokey roja sauce. Hubby had the same but as a burrito. For the sides we had chips and guacamole and the Mexican street corn. Drink were Horchata (Obviously). Tacos and burrito were stuffed, and absolutely delish. They have a self serve salsa bar with the three salsa, the smokey roja, salsa verde and habanero. Let me just say I tried all three- fantastic heat to flavour ration and I poured the habanero on my tacos so good! in fact the smokey roja with the salsa verde is a great combination !! Seating area outside is much larger than inside, we sat inside at a table that had just become available- they do a super brisk take out business and we didn't wait very long for our food to be ready. In fact, my husband and Mini-Me - all three of us, agreed we would for sure make the drive again to have tacos here!! If you are in the area or at school near by- you have to come here at least once, to try the food. I paid for my hubby since he was not my +1 and his meal was about $16. so that in itself is very very reasonable for the amount of food you get. We were very pleased with the food, service and price point.

After a recent swim meet at Rutgers, I brought my kids. One is a big fan of tacos, while the other is more about quesadillas. The chicken tacos were a touch spicy for my kid, who is very sensitive to heat, and my habanero-flavored chicken burrito was brilliantly seasoned. (I love the heat!) All three of us were more than happy with our meals, which we enjoyed out on the back patio area, which had as much ambiance as an eatery in Mexico City. Very cool! The service was pleasant and quick. Now I'm looking forward to their next nearby swim meet so I can bring them here for lunch!

There were a few tables downstairs, and there was a stairwell upstairs that I never ventured up. The few times I visited here I've always found first four seating and never felt the need to see what was up the stairs. The tacos came out a little while after ordering and they looked really good. I think this was my first time consciously trying Iberia tacos and they were very good. I might not be the best person to judge this is I've never had other ones. Service was excellent, and that honestly stood out as one of the best parts of the experience. The food is pretty much what you would expect from this kind of spot: huge portions, greasy, salty, heavy, and very Americanized. Basically over the top Mexican food with lots of carbs. Not terrible, just not something that felt especially memorable or authentic. What really surprised me was that they did not have coffee or tea at all, which feels like a pretty big miss for a full service restaurant. I got Chimi Carne Asada Steak, served with a verde sauce and quite good. A bit pricey at $35, but tasty. My wife got Birria Pizza and my son got Birria Burrito, both good. I believe my son mentioned he got three meals out of his Burrito, which made me feel better about parting with $24. The drinks were good. I would imagine they could do better than $6.50 per bottle of Miller Lite, but what can you do. This would be a five star review if their prices were a bit better, but the food was good. Clean establishment and Christian was a wonderful server. I would go back, and their Parsippany location is closer to me.
