We had lunch here on a weekday. Not that busy. We ordered Peruvian Shrimp Fried Rice and half order of Peruvian Roasted Chicken. The fried rice has a lot of shrimps in it and taste great. The roasted chicken is soft, moist and delicious. Serving staff is friendly and helpful. Well lighted dining area and nice decor. My only concern is parking. There's a few parking spaces in-front of this restaurant, just be careful of incoming vehicles on Smith Street, a main busy street. The Supermarket next to it doesn't allow parking for restaurant diners. Towing is strictly enforced. read more

THE BEST Peruvian food I have ever had. Everything I've tasted is delicious and full of flavor. I visit very often and I am never disappointed. I even had my birthday dinner here one year and everyone at my party was satisfied (even my picky boyfriend). Ordering the chaufa (rice) is a must. The chicken is also very tender. I eat everything, I mean EVERYTHING with the green sauce that they serve. Give it a try and you won't regret it. It is so tasty and adds that much more flavor. The only reason for the four stars is because one of the waiters at this restaurant is extremely unfriendly. She doesn't introduce herself, make recommendations, or ask how everything is. The food here is amazing. It is well made, authentic, and generously portioned. It is the best and most authentic Peruvian restaurant in the area. The restaurant is located in a small strip mall. The parking situation is tough. They only have 4-5 spots allocated to them. You may need to find street parking or just park in the grocery store next door's spots. The place is very clean. My favorite thing I order from here is the Jalea. It's delicious and inexpensive (only $19!) with a large portion that can easily feed 4+ people, depending on how much you eat. Place is outstanding! Use to be in a small, eye sore of a place but they recently moved and it is very very nice and clean. Food is still top notch and they have gotten fancy with their plating now. I'm not an expert in Peruvian cuisine but I know good food and this was a 5 star experience. I am lucky this was my first (definitely not last) Peruvian cuisine experience and I loves every second of it. One of my best friends took me (he is Peruvian) and said this was the spot. We started off with the papa rellena which is a deep fried ball of mashed potato stuffed with ground beef and it is as good as it sounds. Also got the Ceviche de Mariscos (loaded with all different seafood including mussels shrimp and calamari ) liked HIGH and so fresh. I also suggest the Anticuchos (beef heart) BUT hear me out, it is so perfectly seasoned and cooked where it taste like a shish-kabob... the texture screams organ but if you don't mind that It's a home run. Of course I washed it down with an Inca cola and their house made chicha morada which is a purple homemade juice made from corn which was actually refreshing and satisfying. Food here is delicious but the service is terrible. We walked in here & get ignored by the so called hostess. She kept having conversations with someone already seated and literally ignored us. I asked her in Spanish, do I just seat myself and she went and ignored us again. Then she says yes go have a seat whenever you like. Now that we are seated I decided to run the stopwatch and literally timed how long they took to give us a menu. Almost 6 minutes later we get greeted & get our menus. This time she apologized for the wait, which I appreciate. My husband immediately said we not giving a tip. Now we know what we want, of course she asks what we wanted to drink. Another 5 minutes go by and boom our drinks arrive, She apologizes bc they have to ice. Like really you have no ice. We order our food, appetizer anticuchos (beef heart on a skewer) delicious! She tried but the other older lady is rude she let the younger waitress run all the tables instead of helping her out to expedite. First of all, I don't have a Spanish grandmother, but if I did, I am pretty sure these are what her portions would look like. Absolutely heaping piles of food! We ordered a mixed seafood dish, and some beef and veg fried rice. Everything had the flavors they were supposed to...robust and savory, but it was incredibly salty. This place has the best Peruvian food hands down. You can smell how good the food is from outside, and this spot is always packed on Sundays no joke. Best bet is to order your food and pick it up if it's on a Sunday. The sizes they serve are more then generous so you can share a plate if need be.
