My girlfriend and I were in the mood to try out a new Mexican food place. We ordered some food from here for pickup, and ate it at home. This place was delicious. We really enjoyed the items we ordered, which were birria tacos, steak tacos, and chicken quesadilla. My favorite of these items were the birria tacos. They were so flavorful and juicy. And that dipping sauce was amazing. The perfect combo here. The quesadilla was very tasty as well. It was a nice size for the price. The steak tacos were just average. But overall, the food was great and we really enjoyed it.
Decent taco spot. Id be open to returning if I were in the area. Only complaint is that the tacos could do with more onion and cilantro. That being said,the meat quantity is generous, and it's fairly flavorful I wasn't the biggest fan of the birria taco. Will likely just stick to carne. Prices were reasonable
love coming to Small Mexican Charm! The food is always fresh and flavorful, but what makes the experience even better is the service. Ana is an amazing server - attentive, kind, and always welcoming with a smile. She makes you feel right at home. Highly recommend asking for her when you visit! Their dipping sauce are amazing
This place is so cute inside, small corner restaurant. Very nice service. Fresh food! Complimentary chips and salsas, so many varieties - two spicy and two mild. The fried Tilapia was delicious and huge!! The torta was ok - the bread wasn't fresh so that was a bummer but it still tasted good. We both got desserts and they were solid. Definitely check this spot out. I have had chicken enchiladas from here before too and they are delish!!!
I had the Bistec a la Mexicana, my husband had a burrito. The bistec had a very nice flavor profile that I don't recall having before. That is a winner in my book. They do a busy take out service, so if you plan to dine in, expect to wait awhile. The place is clean and pleasant atmosphere. Expect street parking.
Found this place when searching for high rates Birria tacos. Placed an over the phone order and went to pick it up. Everyone there was so nice. My order ended up taking 10-15 min longer than expected so they felt bad and said they threw something in for me. It was Mexican corn which was really good! I've tried a lot of Birria tacos but these were really good! They held up very well for take out and the consume was very good, flavorful! I will definitely be back for more!
The workers here are very nice and welcoming! The tacos are packed with meat and the meat is juicy. The best tacos I've ever had! To top of the meal they had churros that are again, the best churros I've ever had! Super affordable, come here for good food and service.
Update: Went back to La Hacienda a few days later with my partner and everything was still amazing. He was also really impressed. I ordered the tacos again, he got the burrito, we both got the passion fruit juice and we finished it off with the tres leches. Service was amazing. We were able to get seated as soon as we walked in. This is truly one of my newest favorite restaurants in the area. The quality is consistent.
Happy hump day Adventurers! I grabbed a late lunch with a friend here and wow--so so good! Another friend actually recommended this place so I'm excited I got to come here. Parking can be a hassle in this area but that's pretty normal, just need to read the parking signs. We ordered the birria tacos with a side of guacamole and chips. The orange sauce they provide is delicious--spicy and savory!! The birria was one of the best I've tried so far, and very juicy. Staff was very nice and there's plenty of seating. They also delivery so that's pretty awesome. I def recommend this spot when you're in Amboy. They also offer fresh juice and horchata!
Wonderful environment, amazing food and customer service. 10/10 recommend if anyone looks forward to come to this spot or wants to try it out. Gave us a desert for a busy afternoon when it was packed aswell which I found very considerate and amazing
I was expecting just a burrito I could hold and just bit into. I didn't expect to have to dig in by cutting up my burrito. But nonetheless, it was delicious! I would prefer my lettuce and tomatoes in my burrito but I see why they put it on the outside. The burrito was packed with delicious al pastor meat. I didn't taste much pineapple but when I did it was perfect. Their green sauce was great. A bit spicier than I thought and the red sauce was some creamy Chipotle. Had a strong spicy kick. My food did take a while to come out for take out. I thought the amount and quality was worth the price of what I paid for.
Run don't walk to La Hacienda Restaurant. Small place, big flavor and friendly excellent service. Complimentary fresh made chips with 4 different salsas. Guacamole con Tostones, creamy and delicious. A flaky overstuffed empanada, so good. Beef Birria Tacos and a Beef Birria Bowl with rice and beans were both to die for. We're already planning our next trip back
I came with a group and didn't take pictures but will upload once I'm back. And I will be back. The food is just next level. When they said they were authentic they were not kidding. I tried the birria, and it is a must have. I asked for the torta (they have tacos, nachos, and other options as well). And oh boy it was great. I also tried the tacos al pastor with pineapple. It is the perfect mix of sweet and salty. The choritacos were great but the game changer for me was definitely the birria. They have juices both natural and freshly mixed and they have other drinks that looked very appetizing. I decided to go with the passion fruit and have no regrets. I'm already planning my next visit! read more

Wow , just went there today and the food is impeccable. Our waiter was so nice and made sure we dined well , took our plates as soon as we finished. Very nice lady. The place is so clean , well organized everything. 10/10 recommend. Get the birria tacos if you do go there.. read more

If you're looking for the BEST BIRRIA TACOS ever, come to La Hacienda!! Their food is homemade, authentic, and most importantly SO flavorful. The waitress are so kind and quick to respond to requests. Pricing is more than fair too, really a 10/10 place. read more

This place was an awesome fine, I am so glad that we stopped here for lunch!! I live far away, but I will absolutely be making the trip out to come back here and try so much more options on the menu. The food was fresh and delicious, the waiter was very sweet and attentive, and I was able to customize my dish (which made me happy). The taste of everything was amazing, it tasted very authentic, and the sauces that they give in the beginning are to die for! I'm so sad that this is not closer to my house, but I can't wait to come back!! Dont walk, RUN to this restaurant!! :D read more

Saw the flyer to this place at my gym crazy enough. I saved it for when I was in the area and man lemme tell you... man this place is it! I went in the afternoon by myself and just ate in. I got 3 tacos and wings with tostones. I actually wasn't a fan of the wings but the Birria tacos!!! OMG they were delicious. I'm definitely coming back. Oh and they have these chips with sauces on the table that were just amazing. 10/10 y'all have to go! read more

So after revisiting the restaurant, the owner stated he wants to keep halal BEEF BIRRIA only for the time being. So for the Muslims who want to try authentic beef birria in NJ, then this is the spot. I think once he sees the traffic he may change more menu items to permanently halal. read more

Every time I come to New Jersey I stop by this restaurant. It's Mexican but it's also diverse like they have tostones, pupusas, it's a cultural fusion. The food is definitely flavorful and they even have vegetarian options. Also the serving sizes are really big. I really appreciate David the owner and Lupe the cook and all the staff at the restaurant, literally they are all so nice. I will definitely keep visiting! read more
