    a receipt for uber eats

I ordered on line on Wednesday, August 23,2023 to pick up the food. I had a pm emergency to run to and didn't go to pick up the food. I printed out my receipt for pr of payment and went to the store today to explain the situation and ask to have the order made. The lady behind the counter checked the days orders and found mine. She then said it was picked up. I told her that was impossible because I didn't come. She said I ordered on lone through their UBER website. I asked what was my recourse since somebody took my order. She didn't have an answer. She said since I ordered through UBER she couldn't do anything. I said your store uses UBER for deliverie. What does that have to do with someone picking up their food? I asked if she was replacing the order and she said no. I told her that was the first time I ordered from there and it would not happen again. The order was for 2 items totaling $28.79

It's even BYOB!!! I hit this place up every time I'm down here. The Combo platter is great. I order it without the huge cactus because I never eat it anyways. You don't feel out of place here by the locals and the food is great.

Great food at great prices. Service was good. It is a hole in the wall with dripping water at the front door that you may have to avoid but that added to the ambiance of the whole (hole) experience. South River is a working class place and this place fits right in. Glad I got hungry when I did and stopped in.

The quality of their food declined over the years. I mean they use to be so good now I don't know what happened and it's sooo expensive

Solid chicken burrito. Friendly staff when I picked up my takeout. Hoping to eat in next time, and maybe try one of their entrees.

I have worked at an upscale Mexican restaurant in Miami (Talavera Cocina Mexicana) which can not compare to El Tapatio.

I've had flautas, burritos, quesadillas, tacos, and more and I have never been let down. I absolutely love the chicken tinga and salsa verde here. The chicken tinga burrito is my go-to order and I always request extra salsa verde because it is the best salsa to ever touch my lips! I could literally drink it...Everything is so fresh and tasty! The inside has beautiful cultural decor and plenty of tables. It is a BYOB restaurant so feel free to bring your favorite adult beverage. They can be quite busy at times, but service and quality have never fallen during rush hour. If you dine in, you'll start off with fresh chips and salsa verde, which if you haven't caught on yet, you will love. I've attached some pictures from this visit and from previous visits and yes...the burritos are *always* that big and bursting at the seams. If I had to choose my last meal, it would be La China Poblana, hands down.

The burritos are always packed, the presentation of the molcajete for two was amazing, and the quality of their chicken, steak and pork is always great. The salsa verde is 100/10 - I could drink it! You absolutely cannot go wrong with the staples - tacos, quesadillas, burritos, tostadas, fajitas, tamales... they do it all, and they do it WELL. The service is also great when dining in. The decor of the place feels like you're somewhere in the southwest - beautiful colors and imagery on every table, chair, and wall.

Beautiful space, excellent Mexican food, and great service…read more My family brought me to Mezcal as a surprise, and we were all really impressed. From the moment you walk in, the restaurant makes a great first impression. The décor is beautiful and upscale, but still inviting and there are plenty of great spots for social media pictures. We started with a few lighter appetizers, but they ended up being more than enough. We shared three sets of tacos: the fish, pork, and short rib. Each order comes with two tacos, which makes them perfect for sharing and trying different flavors. The esquites were also really tasty and all paired very well. My daughter had a cheese quesadilla, which she absolutely loved. For drinks, I went with an Old Fashioned (my go to classic) while my wife ordered the "Clock It" mocktail. Both were solid choices. I also appreciated that they brought out boxed water for my daughter, which was a nice touch. What really stood out to me, though, was the service. Our waiter was attentive without being overbearing and made sure we were taken care of throughout the meal. There's also a fairly large bar right at the entrance, so you don't necessarily have to come here for a full meal. I could easily see Mezcal being a great date-night spot or a place to grab drinks and enjoy the atmosphere. There's also plenty of parking in the back, which is always a plus. Overall, I'd definitely come back. Next time, I want to try some of the main dishes. It's a higher-end restaurant, so expect the prices to reflect that, but between the food, atmosphere, service, and presentation, I thought it was well worth the experience.

However, the hype and expectation far surpassed the actual experience. We had an early reservation. And among the first guests. The woman host was very nice she tried to seat us at a table right near the entrance and we asked to be moved to a booth by the large art pieces more center to the dining area. Was sexy and very dark. Our server was nice and we ordered fancy drinks. It was cute but the drink was nothing amazing. Second drink I got a nice pour of high-end tequila, much much better. Octopus appetizer was slightly undercooked and a little mushy. Came with several house made sauces and none which were memorable. Nothing to turn my nose at but not even close to what I was expecting. We also had the market oysters and they were oysters ‍. We ordered the rib cap experience. Underwhelming experience and a skirt steak. But steaks were cooked perfectly. And their Mac and cheese, rib cap came with mash. All good, not great or amazing. Bathroom was not the cleanest either. Water all over the counter and toilet paper on the floor. The diner that would fly... at a 5 star restaurant, I couldn't believe it and they had really just opened for the day. I am not running to go back here, however, I'd gladly go give it a second try again in the future.
