The molcajete was the star of the meal; it came well-served to the table, with plenty to share and great seasoning. Service was quick and friendly, and the prices were fair for the quality. Overall, definitely a spot worth trying if you're in Perth Amboy and craving good Mexican food.

I was a little disappointed with the $20 Blue Habanero quesadilla, it came bare without any veggies on side, no lettuce or anything. The guac it comes with was brown in super small cup. The extra hot sauce containers were also super small and I didn't find any spicy. It was nice they give a hefty portion of chips and side of sour cream, though. The shrimp and steak were just cut into super small pieces and there was also chicken inside for some reason? The tortilla was perfectly grilled however def greasy from the cheese. Personally, I would've preferred larger portions of veggies/meat inside and maybe some type of crema or spicy sauce inside or on the side to give more of a kick. That would help a lot! Thank you

This drink is made with corn meal which gives it some grit and thickness. Really hit the spot after walking outside on such a cold day. The tortilla chips came as a starter, were made fresh, and tasted great with the homemade salsa. I ordered two dishes that were recommended which I've never had before. Sopes al pastor and chorizo Picaditas. The tortillas on both were freshly fried and firm such that it held together the toppings, but also soft and crumbly enough on the inside making it pleasant to eat . My favorite were the sopes with all the traditional fresh ingredients that goes with al pastor.

I ordered bistec tacos which come 3 to an order for $14. My wife ordered lengua tacos which are 3 for $16. We shared an order of tortilla chips with guac. Chips were fresh out of the fryer, golden brown, and still warm when we got to the waterfront. Guac was chunky, fresh and so flavorful. The two of them were a perfect combo. Bistec tacos were delicious! Steak was thinly cut, seasoned well, and grilled nicely with a tasty char to it. Homemade tortillas, onion, cilantro, a little salsa verde, and a little salsa Rojo with flash fried green onion on top made for a great lunch. My wife loved her lengua tacos. That meal along with enjoying it on the waterfront during perfect weather turned it into a wonderful afternoon!

The meat came in huge pieces, it should have been chopped smaller. The tortillas are huge, they were very basic, lots of cilantro, not enough onions, lemons were dry, tacos were basically dry unless you use a lot of salsa. I will say the salsa was okay but hardly any flavor. The ladies never checked on me even though I was the only one there. I paid using Zelle. I ordered delivery from here for the first time and overall had a good experience. The food arrived quickly and the meat was definitely flavorful and delicious. I probably would not order the corn salad again, as it had too much meat (never thought I'd say that) but it overpowered the lettuce and the juices from the chicken collected at the bottom of the container real quick, so it was starting to get soggy. Again, not a bad problem, and the flavor was good, but I can see why their menu has the disclaimer that taquerias don't typically have salads. I also ordered us the Mexican tacos (steak)- they were fire I will definitely order them again. Ordered my husband the burrito bowl with chorizo, and while he hasn't yet tried it, I sampled the chorizo and it was delicious! Super flavorful and spicy I ordered tortilla chips with spicy queso and a Fanta- when my order came, those two items were incorrect. We received their guac instead of the queso and a coke instead of Fanta. Seriously, first world problems but I'm a girl who loves her queso dips- so I called and was told they were out, so they swapped it. My fault since I had no idea my phone was on work mode. It's still good however we already had guac at home. I think next time we will go in person, since I see in the photos there's a decent seating area and I wanna try their nachos next time.
