Came here the other day right before they closed. We thought it was open until late. So we placed an order to go. Cheese enchilada rice and beans, Cabeza Tostada, Caldo de Camaron soup. I was pleasantly surprised by the deliciousness do the food. Don't let the location fool you. Cinco De Mayo serves good food at a reasonable price. Park in ng is difficult t ok f i nd the adjacent parking gets full.

Shrimp Enchiladas and Fajitas. So damn yummy.

Wanted to try this place out again and it was as tasty as I remembered. Had the shrimp enchiladas and Fajitas accompanied with Coronas and the classic Chips & Salsa because why not right. The staff are very friendly which made it a better experience. Recommend to anyone looking for yummy homey feel good Mexican food.

She ordered the fried Hainan chicken rice, while I went with the fried Hainan chicken rice noodles. My dish also came with a couple of wontons, ground pork, and half an egg, which was a nice bonus. On a recent Wednesday lunch visit, we noticed most people were ordering takeout and we were actually the only ones dining in. Like the other location, you order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. It's a very casual spot, and you can even request a bowl of chicken broth on the side. The food came out quickly, and everything was delicious. I ordered a Zebb Chicken rice to-go and it was still good for dinner!

This place appeared to be well rated with another location. We tried this one in Long Beach, it was…read moredisappointing as the place appeared to be busy but the cars parked in front were some other customer cars for the nearby business. The parking is hard since it's in the area of Long Beach with lots of condos, so you are fighting to find a place. Once we got inside we noticed it was empty, not a soul in sight except the cashier. We ordered a hainan chicken and a bowl of chicken noodle with ground noodle (sub egg noodle). They only offered dark meat or ground chicken, kind of sad as a chicken place. The broth was not rich and the chicken on the drier side. The pieces did not look like it came from the same chicken (usually it'll form the shape of whatever they cut up, but presentation was not their strong suit). The sauces for the hainan was on the saltier side and not as good as other places. The rice... Did they not throw in broth for it to cook? I did not taste much chicken flavor. The noodles, it's intended to be on the blander side, that's fine. The noodle though... It was as if they could've cooked a bit longer, they seemed to stick together and was not quite al dente so I stirred them around for about a minute to break it apart. Ground chicken, nothing special to season it with, at least it did not have chicken stench. Lastly, the door was left open, the amount of flies coming in was a lot. It was off putting. The neighborhood does not appear friendly or safe as the front door was boarded up. Also a sign saying there is no cash here (implying lots of robberies/burglers). I don't like giving low ratings, but the reviews for this place weren't... Convinencing.

The service was good and the rotisserie chicken was solid, but the sides were not. The PCH here is quite busy with cars, so good that there is a small dedicated parking lot. One orders and pay from the window, and there are 4 cafeteria style tables indoors. It took about 5 minutes for the order to be prepared, and was well wrapped for carry out. The mini-pak ($22.99) consists of one whole, chopped up chicken with sides of beans, potato salad, and chicken rice. It comes with tortillas and salsa. The one outstanding thing about the meal was the well crisped and flavorful chicken skin. As for the meat, the dark thigh meat was really good, the white meat OK, but the drumstick meat was dry/gummy/mealy. And the chicken size was about the one that comes from a regular grocery store (not Costco). I liked the potato salad, as the potato pieces were chopped pretty fine, and the chicken rice did have chicken pieces in it, but wasn't particularly flavorful. The beans were bland, and the tortillas even more so. There is a more famous grilled chicken chain, that is closer, cheaper, and somewhat better tasting for me. Always good to try new places though.

I never suggested that it was a "hidden fee", I just pointed out that it is a very high fee for ordering online. As pointed out before, ordering online directly from a restaurant does not usually incur a fee, let alone a $6 fee. If Diana feels that ordering online is so onerous, then maybe she should deactivate that feature and encourage her customers to phone in their orders. Diana should also consider not badgering customers that did not have a good experience with her restaurant and consider taking some classes in Customer Service 101. It's not a good way to run a business and the fastest way to lose customers. ***UPDATE FOLLOWING DIANA M's RESPONSE*** It's unfortunate that the owner responded with excuses and condescension. A simple "Hey, sorry for the mishap, we will make sure it won't happen again" would have sufficed. At least that way, she likely would have had a returning customer since the food is good. But now, no way Jose. And the $5.00 online service fee is egregious. I order quite a bit online and always try to order directly through the restaurants website to avoid fees. I don't know if any other restaurants that charge fees to order online unless there is a delivery involved. --------------------------- Well, not sure what to say. We put in an online order last night, which went through with a $4.95 service fee. (We ordered through their direct site rather than a third party sight to save on fees) If that wasn't bad enough, I showed up at the designated pick up time, and the place was closed. WTF? About an hour later, we were refunded our money, but why is the website taking orders and collecting payments when you're not even open? Talk about inconvenience. And clearly their posted operating hours are inconsistent.

Today i went back for the 2nd time since they moved to the new outdoor location within the same shopping center at 2nd and PCH in Long Beach. The first time i had placed my order to go. This time i was with my elderly parents and i decided to sit down and have lunch instead. I can say that the experience was definitely not the same as their previous location. The seating being all outdoors, The restaurant occupies a large patio with seating under umbrellas next to the sound of the fountain which is really nice. You order at the kiosk which is just a high table with the host. You pay and you find your table. Then they bring your food out. I ordered the Thai noodle salad with chicken and my parents ordered a bowl of the chicken noodle soup to share, as it is large enough for 2 to 3 people. Our waitress who was very kind and courteous brought us our food with an extra bowl for dividing the soup. However the bowl of soup is around 40oz and the only utensil we had to split the soup with, was a plastic tea spoon. So, i asked if she had anything else like a ladle or if she could have the kitchen do it. She hesitated a little as if she wasn't sure and then decided to take it to the kitchen. When she brought it back, it was obvious that they had just dumped half of the content of the one bowl into the other very unthought fully as if they really didn't want to do it. The bowl had drippings all around it. One bowl had mostly all the chicken and the noodles in it and the other just the broth. So, i fixed it up for my parents. My mother, whose appetite tends to spike with a good dish presentation, hardly ate anything. My father on the other hand does not care. So, he had most of the soup. My Thai noodle salad was good but nothing special. And to make things worse. We were constantly having to chase flies off of our food. I guess this latter one comes with dining outdoors. But i am pretty sure that restaurants must have a way to keep the flies away. In the end. It was not the best experience. I have no complaints about the food, but mainly about the kitchen Service and the annoying fly situation. I really don't know if I'll be back anytime soon.

The wing was the first piece grabbed out the bag and the temperature wasn't there. No juice, just luke warm dried meat. The second piece I grabbed was the drumstick and again temperature was off. No juice or no steam. It didn't feel like these pieces were under any heat lamps. Felt left out as each piece eaten didn't really have any residual heat. 3rd piece I grabbed was the thigh which I mistook for a breast because it was bigger in size. After positioning in eat mode I decided to pack the rest home instead because the chicken wasn't hot enough. Funny thing is after 1 hour drive my chicken breast piece had some retained heat. Little did I realize the stellar fries kept the breast warm. Shame on this place ... even KFC is enjoyable once order is secured. Their hot sauce packed in cups were good Hopefully they work on the their chicken game because it's comical that their fish outshined the chicken.

I spoke to the owner and he told me that I came on a bad day because Sunday was his busiest day to which I replied that shouldn't have made a difference. Secondly, he said it was a startup and they were just getting used to doing business and I said that was not acceptable also. He said do I want my money? I recently stopped by and was honestly impressed, especially with the portion sizes and flavor. I ordered the two-tender combo, and right away I noticed these weren't your average tenders--they were jumbo. Thick, crispy, and cooked just right. The outside had that perfect crunch while the inside stayed juicy and tender. You also get to pick your heat level, which is clutch whether you like it mild or want that real Nashville kick. The combo came with Texas toast, pickles, and their signature comeback sauce. The Texas toast was buttery and soft, perfect for balancing out the spice. The pickles added that tangy bite that cuts through the richness of the chicken, and the comeback sauce tied everything together--it's creamy, slightly tangy, and honestly addicting. I also ordered the Cluckin' fries, which come loaded with their comeback sauce and your choice of heat on the chicken. These were a whole meal on their own. Crispy fries topped with flavorful chicken and sauce--it's messy in the best way possible. I gave their mac & cheese a try too--it was okay, not bad, but definitely not the standout compared to everything else. Stick to the chicken and fries and you'll be happy. Pro tip: let your friends order extra pickles... you're gonna want more once you start eating. Overall, Cluck and Blaze delivers on flavor, portion size, and that classic Nashville hot chicken experience.
