Great food, great service and great ambiance. This is the go-to spot in Thibodaux for a nice, casual dinner with a great bar too. We'll be back.

    "grits and grillades" appetizer

we went with high hopes after rave reviews from friends & we're let down. Unsure if it was a diff chef or just because it was 2 days after christmas. Appetizer: Pork belly was very dry (like they fried it more than 2x), crab fat salad was different but delicious. Entree: Broccoli Salad was sub par ; i love this stuff but maybe the chili oil is that's threw it off. Hanger steak was cooked well, but it was served cold. Fish & oyster dressing was well enjoyed by my spouse. Dessert: sweet chili cream cheese brownies were definitely not a brownie, it was more of the consistency of the fudge you'd find at a mall fudge factory. major let down there. Overall, it was a no from us; however, we will be back to try it again, eventually...

Do yourself a favor and visit this great restaurant in Thibodaux. We were attending a football camp and spent the week in the area. We are from Nashville, and have quite the selection of restaurants and did not know what to expect. Seriously, the service and food was unmatched by anyone else in the area. Reservations were quick and easy thru Resy. The staff truly cares about your experience. They were always prompt to ask if we needed anything. The bar drinks were spot on, and the food is absolutely amazing - everything we tasted melted in our mouths. We had the Duck Confit Birria Tacos, which were a perfect appetizer. We shared the Crab Alio e Olio, because it was amazing, as well as a special cut ribeye that our server described perfectly. Our complements to the Chef, the bar manager, and to the owner, Michael Dalmau who we had the pleasure of meeting that evening. Absolutely the best meal we had while in Thibodaux. Highly recommend! Easily 5 Stars!

    Dry, flavorless meatball

Recent visit to this restaurant. After looking at reviews, thought wow must be good. I guess most reviews are from the cocktails because the food was insulting. Alligator Rangoon- cream cheese, no Alligator ( if there was some it was drowned by the amount of cream cheese) the craw fish sauce was good. Sea gulf fish.. fish was old and dirty and the rice too sweet. Too many elements fighting and none were good. Meatballs 2nd dish. Noodles -salt them give them flavor, meatball dry and over cooked - again sauce them up and maybe they would not be dry. But fix the sauce first- flavor. Not a complex dish but if you make a simple dish then make it worth the price. All around bad.

This place is an absolute gem! My boyfriend and I came out for the Black Bayou airboat tour (also great), but weren't expecting a fancier dining experience. The alligator Rangoon was better than other crab rangoons I've had; full of stuffing and not overly sweet. I really liked the brussel sprouts with halloumi cheese and the cocktail list was imaginative and delicious. Our waiter was delightful, attentive, and professional. It sounds like their menu changes regularly, so definitely worth checking out.

The ambiance is lovely, and sitting out on their patio made for the perfect, relaxed New Orleans evening. The highlight of our round of drinks was definitely the Righteous Harlot cocktail. It comes in a beautiful flute and is a stunning bright pink color, mixed with vodka, dragon fruit cordial, St. Germain, and sparkling wine. It was incredibly refreshing and perfectly balanced. We ordered a few different small plates to share around the table. The Scotch Egg was spectacular--perfectly crispy and savory on the outside with a gorgeous, rich jammy yolk inside, served right alongside house-made piccalilli relish. We also tried the Zucchini and Horseradish plate, which was incredibly unique and flavorful. It features a perfectly charred zucchini base loaded with a zesty horseradish cream and topped with beautifully shingles of crisp, fresh zucchini slices. While I didn't get a chance to snap photos of everything else we ate, every single bite was inventive, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The service was fantastic, and the bartenders really know their craft. We highly recommend dropping in for a sophisticated drink and a few excellent bites!

We specifically found this restaurant because we searched online for gluten free restaurants, so we were excited to see that you offered a separate gluten free menu. However, there are some serious issues with the accuracy of that menu that need to be addressed. When we asked about the pork rinds brought to the table, we were told they are fried in the same oil as everything else. That in itself is your choice as a restaurant, and we understand cross contamination can happen. We were also told the french fries are cooked in beef tallow in a separate fryer, but they are not considered gluten free, which is why they are not listed on the gluten free menu. Again, that is completely understandable. What is not acceptable is having items listed on the gluten free menu that are not actually gluten free due to cross contamination. The pork rinds and cheddar filled tater tots were both listed on the gluten free menu despite being fried in shared oil with gluten containing foods. For someone with celiac disease, this is not a small mistake or a dietary preference issue. My husband has celiac disease, and if he had eaten the pork rinds based on trusting the gluten free menu, he could have become extremely ill and potentially needed hospital care. Our daughter has gluten sensitivity, and she would have been sick for the rest of the night as well. Many people still treat gluten free as if it is just a fad diet, but for people with celiac disease, it is a serious autoimmune condition that causes real physical harm. To the OWNER: please educate your staff and kitchen on what gluten free truly means, and update the menu so customers can trust it. People with celiac disease should not have to risk getting sick because menu items are mislabeled.

A love letter to Coquette…read more I moved to New Orleans in 2014, for a job I'd been trying to get since 2012, and which resulted in the end of a relationship with someone who had fallen out of love with the city years before. My life has been changed in so many positive ways over the last 12 years, and it all started with Coquette. My first meal out, on my first day of work right after Labor Day was at Coquette for lunch with my ex-boyfriend's law school friend. I don't remember the person's name, and don't think I actually saw him again after that lunch, but I remember the feeling of that fancy, yet understated meal as a warm welcome to the city I now call home. I've gotten incredible fantasy football tips from the bartenders over brunch at the. I've celebrated birthdays and promotions and making in to Thursday with dinners and wine. No matter why I have ended up at Coquette over the years, and with who, it's always ended up being a special experience that is just hard to put into words. Of course when I heard we were nearing the end I immediately made a dinner reservation, and brought my partner, who somehow had never been. We sat at the bar, and ended up running into one of my close friends also getting one last meal at this special spot. We ate like kings and laughed and marveled at how unique this place is, even in a city full of award-winning chefs and beautifully curated restaurants. I'm so sad that this era has come to an end, but so grateful to have had so many great experiences here and that those who brought us this place are embarking on new culinary adventures in the city! You may have driven past this place a hundred times, I know I have. There isn't even a sign…read more What? No sign... Yep! There's no sign. When it was being built I thought, why build a gas station across from a gas station? Tucked in what appears to the naked eye as a simple gas station/convenience store is Donuts & Deli. It's no secret I'm from California as I reminiscence often of cool balmy beach weather as I swelter in the humid heat of Southern Louisiana. Louisianians love their snowballs, but we Californians LOVE us some donuts. We have as many donut joints as you have snowball stands, maybe even more. After hearing about this place ( from darling Alexis), I was eager to get my hands on some donuts. They serve a selection of classic donuts, glazed, chocolate, Bavarian cream, jelly filled and sprinkles. But then.......a wide grin as big a the Cheshire Cat creeped across my face as I eye spied a cinnamon roll as big as my head. The little Alice in Wonderland within me jumped for joy as I drooled over the various donut holes and miniature apple fritters, perfect for any mad hatter tea party. We order the giant cinnamon roll, chocolate covered donuts and jelly filled holes, all delicious! I thought I'd try their original potato, filled with the yumminess of bacon bits, cheese, butter, sour cream and green onions for a whopping $3.29 ....their menu includes sandwiches, burgers and smoked meat lunch plates....it's was obvious that some knew about this place as a dozen or so worker guys were chowing down at tables located inside..... And I was assured that the sign is coming soon....... What I discovered, even though my name isn't Alice nor did I follow a white rabbit down a hole....is that I won't have to travel far to grab delicious donuts or a bite for lunch.......Donuts & Deli gets the California stamp of approval, I'm a fan!
