The burrito was more lettuce than meat, so that was disappointing. They had a variety of salsa for you to choose from. Overall good experience, if you're in town you can grab food here.

If you can't speak at least a little Spanish you could run into some slight issues, but the food is delicious. They have the absolute best tres leche cake I've ever eaten. They offer both strawberry and peach flavors. HINT: I think it's cheaper if you go to the their mercado which is outside the restaurant, but still in the same building and purchase the cake. Especially if you're planning to take it home to eat later, like I do. I rarely have room for dessert after eating my dinner. If you ever need a large "sheet- style" cake for a special occasion you should really think about ordering the tres leche cake from here, but It does have chopped nuts on top, so if that's an issue make sure you ask them to leave them off. With nuts or without, your guests will be amazed. We REALLY miss the former Mercado. They used to serve delicious hot foods and had great prices on meats/chicken, house made salsas, etc., They got rid of that area to make more room in the restaurant for customers.

Two of us are vegetarian and there weren't really any vegetarian options on the menu. We ordered quesadillas with no meat expecting plain cheese quesadillas, but we were pleasantly surprised to find them filled with flavorful grilled vegetables. Also, the complimentary chips and salsa were so good!

Yes, the interior was warm and comfortably-decorated, but it was the food that blew me away! I ordered chicken empanadas, and they turned out to be flaky pastries -- not too thick on the outside, and packed with well-seasoned flavorful chicken on the inside. The sope al pastor surprised me also -- the cornmeal disks were delicate on the inside and just-crisp-enough on the outside -- and then piled high with al pastor (pork), avocado slices, and other toppings. But is was the elote that was the real surprise -- it's usually been served to me as cut-off kernels in a bowl. But here they gave me the whole ear of corn -- and it was sweet, tender, and freshly cooked -- a little taste of summer on this freezing day. And then they topped it with the elote spices -- decorative squirts of mayo, chili sauce, and other seasonings. I could not stop eating it and immediately wanted another. All told, it was amazing, fresh, well-seasoned food made with love - and a little chili sauce!!

The place was chuck full, but the host squeezed us in next to the bar. Let's be clear, this is not an upscale fine dining establishment. It's your neighborhood Mexican spot. Despite being extremely busy we were seated immediately. Within seconds the waiter took our drink order and provided chips and salsa. This had to be one of the best salsas EVER. Fresh and full of flavor. The margaritas were also very good. And big like I like them. We ordered the guacamole, my friend had a vegetarian combo and i opted for the classic Chimichangas with chicken. I was a bit disappointed in the guacamole, I have to admit I have had better. My friend enjoyed here veggie combo and I found the chimichangas to be quite filling and delicious. The prices were really reasonable, the portions generous and the service very fast, despite of what other reviews state.

Horrible service and when I stopped at the cashier stand to put down $5 for the 2 soft drinks I told them why we were leaving and they couldn't care less. There's better Mexican restaurants in the area I'm sure.
