Taco Combo Platter w/ a steak taco and chicken taco.
    Janae T.

I ordered a taco dinner that came with rice and refried beans. The place was very small. Barely seating one of those pick up places really. The food was made quick . I ordered one steak and one chicken. I got both of them with everything (lettuce, tomato, sour cream). I should've ordered the steak with just lime, onion, and cilantro. The tacos were good and big they were fulfilling. I wasn't a fan of their corn shells though or their rice. Otherwise the food was okay.

    Taco de Lengua.

Terrible food. Lengua taco- meat is dry. Taco served at room temp. Tortillas room temp. Chicken tamal average. Sort of warm. Table not cleaned. 2 tvs going in. One tv with the Monty show arguing about who is the father of a child. Other tv has business news. And Mexican rap playing in the area where you order. Will Never be back. Super disappointing. Menudo has potatoes in it! Nothing was fresh about this food.

Phenomenal tacos! Their tortillas and tortilla chips are homemade and are so good. I had two pollo tacos and one shrimp taco. Their guacamole was really good and I was not a huge fan of their queso. It had a grainy texture to it that I was not a fan of. Overall would definitely recommend Tortilleria Garcia if you are in the mood for tacos!

Plenty of chicken, cheese, lettuce, onions, rice, and sauce were provided to us. Corn tortillas were also provided and couldn't have been tastier. I loved the food here and highly recommend if you're in the area. The employees were kind and helpful throughout our visit. You simply order at the counter. The back was pretty big so feel free to eat there or take it out with you.

Shockingly good tamales and very quick at lunch. Easy to order too much. I will be back.

What a hidden gem here in the area. Great tacos for great prices. I enjoy the carnitas and carne asada tacos when I do come here. You can order tacos a la carte or do the taco plate which is 2 tacos, rice and beans. They offer specials and other items besides tacos. Great place to go for a casual sit down meal, they expanded the back area with a dining room so you can sit and enjoy your food. They do offer $1 tacos on Taco Tuesday!

They offer both strawberry and peach flavors. HINT: I think it's cheaper if you go to the their mercado which is outside the restaurant, but still in the same building and purchase the cake. Especially if you're planning to take it home to eat later, like I do. I rarely have room for dessert after eating my dinner. If you ever need a large "sheet- style" cake for a special occasion you should really think about ordering the tres leche cake from here, but It does have chopped nuts on top, so if that's an issue make sure you ask them to leave them off. With nuts or without, your guests will be amazed. We REALLY miss the former Mercado. They used to serve delicious hot foods and had great prices on meats/chicken, house made salsas, etc., They got rid of that area to make more room in the restaurant for customers.

We got the Chicken Tortilla Soup as well which was tangy, very flavorful with big pieces of shredded chicken and vegetables. I quite liked the soup a lot. And of course you get the complimentary chips and salsa on the side. The only thing that stood out to me is that it felt like they ran out of decent amount of avocado so they gave us tons of cucumber instead as a substitute. I've never had mexican cuisine with that large quantity of cucumber at other place before. Overall, 3.5/5. Decent food, will fill you up with their portion when you're hungry. The inside of the restaurant is well-decorated, cozy with a lot of booths as well as seats made of wooden drums which look aesthetically-pleasing to me. Service was quick and friendly.

The owner dropped by the table to say "hi," was open and friendly, and remembered us from our visit there last year. Our waitress was helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. She took our orders without taking any notes and got each one absolutely accurate, including which of the 11 of us ordered what. The meals arrived quickly and were fresh, authentic, and made-from scratch. One of my friends is allergic to capsaicin, the "active ingredient" in peppers, and asked that her dish be made without peppers. Not only could they easily accommodate her, but she absolutely loved the dietarily-amended meal. The owner told me they don't have a freezer - all food is bought fresh, and goes right out to the table within the next 2-3 days. You could definitely tell: all of our meals were fantastic -- huge portions of fresh food made with loving care -- from the nachos to the giant burritos, to the fajitas, quesadillas, enchiladas, and the house-made desserts -- (the fried ice cream was absolutely epic). My favorite was the Fajita Hawaiian, and I have a soft spot for the Jamaica (traditional hibiscus drink) that is freshly made on site. I know there's a lot of Mexican restaurants here in our area, but this one is very special, and really deserving of our love in these tough times.

A male from the kitchen used the same restroom and then went right back into the kitchen. I said to my husband, "I hope someone put soap in there." Then my husband used the restroom right before we left and there was still no soap! No hand sanitizer either. Gross!! So we decided to never go back. Well, my husband forgot and stopped in recently. He has been sick since! Very sick. If he doesn't get better soon he'll likely need to seek medical attention for dehydration. He said they were very rude and unwelcoming again. Then he realized the Tongue Tacos he ordered tasted and smelled a bit off once he was already halfway through.
