Service was great and quick, lunch portions were huge and affordable ($11 for mixed fajitas with rice and beans), mango margarita was delicious. I would definitely recommend it and I'll be back!

Very cool artistic sink.

Great authentic Mexican! We had a party of 10 we were seated almost immediately. The server was patient while we waited for another person in our group. There were so many different items on the menu to choose from. That was overwhelming in a good way. I liked that they had several seafood items as well as menudo. The food was good. The "small" burritos were filling and we had 4 hungry teenagers with us and they were satisfied. We didn't have room for desert. I saw a gorgeous delicious looking cake in a case by the register. The bathroom sink was really cool very odd but it fit with the decor and cool artistic vibe. The beans and rice were good the tamale was perfect and the enchilada good but I think that it needed more sauce. Anyway we all enjoyed our meal.

Great atmosphere and easy to converse with friends. The nachos al carbon were very good and is a generous portion.

My husband has had lunch with coworkers here a few times and since we were in the area on Saturday we stopped in for lunch. We both ordered a lunch special. Me: #8 a quesadilla and an enchilada - with chorizo. Him: #9 an enchilada and a taco -with lengua My daughter ordered Chicken tacos and my grandson had the nuggets and fries kids' meal. We also ordered the Cheese Dip appetizer. It comes with the cheese dip, salsa and chips. We all thought the chips, salsa and cheese dip tasted good and we enjoyed it. My husband liked his meal, as did my grandson. My meal was ok but it was the greasiest chorizo I've ever had. Like they hadn't drained any of the grease and heaped spoonfuls of the grease into the tortillas. I couldn't finish even half of it because the grease was too much. My daughter thought her tacos tasted good. That was until she bit into a large bone. She did not finish her meal either. The service was ok and my husband will likely return with his coworkers.

I am VERY picky about my Mexican restaurants and the food. This place ticked every single mark. Food is exceptional, reminded me of home. Service was fast and everything made to order. Best since I've moved to ohio. Definitely coming back!

Chips and salsa. Pretty basic.

Had high expectations but my impromptu lunch while nearby was a bit disappointing. Nothing was anything more than very middle of the road basic Mexican. Sauces were meh. Nothing seemed all that fresh.

Let me start off by saying this...we LOVE Mexican food and had heard good things about Taqueria Mercado so we decided to try it out. We tried to like this place, we really did, but it fell short of our expectations. Let me explain why. We ordered the chips and salsa (and surprised it costs extra as compared to most Mexican places). They were pretty good but noticing spectacular. I ordered the chimichanga with rice and beans which was very good, but no better than other Mexican restaurants in the area. My friend ordered the Mixed Fajitas and said they were hard to chew and she was not impressed. The restaurant is strange because you can see the kitchen from where you're sitting, and there are coolers, prep tables, etc. within feet of the restaurant's guests. What really capped off the experience was the less-than-mediocre service. The server was not very quick and it took a while to get water and the check. $25.00 for the two of us. Next time we will go to El Rancho for similar food, better service, a better atmosphere, and better price.

Great desserts.

Nice authentic Mexican restaurant. So no doubt it is good. It is bigger then it looks there are 2 rooms to be seated. And a bar also. The burritos will knock your socks off big and stuffed full. No free chips but only a couple of bucks. Salsa served with it is rather hot. Dont ask for milder one you will get a quick no. Go and enjoy.

Authentic Mexican food, good portions and fun atmosphere. No complimentary chips and salsa but the food can make up for it

Friendly service and really great food! Don't let the unassuming exterior deter you! 6 of us…read moredined here and we really enjoyed it. Two of us are vegetarian and there weren't really any vegetarian options on the menu. We ordered quesadillas with no meat expecting plain cheese quesadillas, but we were pleasantly surprised to find them filled with flavorful grilled vegetables. Also, the complimentary chips and salsa were so good!

Yes, the interior was warm and comfortably-decorated, but it was the food that blew me away! I ordered chicken empanadas, and they turned out to be flaky pastries -- not too thick on the outside, and packed with well-seasoned flavorful chicken on the inside. The sope al pastor surprised me also -- the cornmeal disks were delicate on the inside and just-crisp-enough on the outside -- and then piled high with al pastor (pork), avocado slices, and other toppings. But is was the elote that was the real surprise -- it's usually been served to me as cut-off kernels in a bowl. But here they gave me the whole ear of corn -- and it was sweet, tender, and freshly cooked -- a little taste of summer on this freezing day. And then they topped it with the elote spices -- decorative squirts of mayo, chili sauce, and other seasonings. I could not stop eating it and immediately wanted another. All told, it was amazing, fresh, well-seasoned food made with love - and a little chili sauce!!

Found ourselves hungry and in unfamiliar territory on a Saturday night. Luckily we came across…read morethis little gem. Well actually it is much bigger on the inside than you would think. The place was chuck full, but the host squeezed us in next to the bar. Let's be clear, this is not an upscale fine dining establishment. It's your neighborhood Mexican spot. Despite being extremely busy we were seated immediately. Within seconds the waiter took our drink order and provided chips and salsa. This had to be one of the best salsas EVER. Fresh and full of flavor. The margaritas were also very good. And big like I like them. We ordered the guacamole, my friend had a vegetarian combo and i opted for the classic Chimichangas with chicken. I was a bit disappointed in the guacamole, I have to admit I have had better. My friend enjoyed here veggie combo and I found the chimichangas to be quite filling and delicious. The prices were really reasonable, the portions generous and the service very fast, despite of what other reviews state.

Waiter never came back to take our order, but took orders at tables all around us seated after us. After a half hour we left. Never going back. Horrible service and when I stopped at the cashier stand to put down $5 for the 2 soft drinks I told them why we were leaving and they couldn't care less. There's better Mexican restaurants in the area I'm sure.
