order was delivered, this is what we got. When I called them and asked them, she said yes. It's supposed to be queso with chorizo. I told her I received just a box of chorizo. She said she had checked the order and it was chorizo queso. I offered to send her a picture of it and she argued for a minute and then placed me on hold. Then comes back and says the kitchen was out of white queso. Thought u checked the order!? "I glanced at it"!!!!! I told her this isn't what we ordered and I wasn't trying to be hateful, but $10 for a box of burned chorizo that we aren't going to eat is extreme. She said I should check with texoma delivery and get my money back. I said well texoma delivery is the delivery service, u ultimately got paid for it. She said Because there was melted cheese on top, it's technically chorizo and queso. And I received the chorizo so she's not doing anything. She refused to refund me. I asked if I could get a credit for chorizo queso and pick it up tomorrow. She said I already got chorizo with queso and was actually very rude and hung up on me. We are from Dallas and My husband and I were thrilled to find this place on our way to Eisenhower State Park. It is absolutely delicious! Truly authentic cuisine. We are foodies and couldn't decide what to get so we got four plates. Every dish was so flavorful. The green sauce was zesty and strong. It could not be made any better! We will definitely be back. I'm removing one of the four stars on this review to reflect super slow service. That having been said, there are just a couple of family members in the kitchen hand assembling everything. So in a way you can excuse the pace of getting your order. Those other four stars are given for their weekly and daily specials. Taco Tuesday, tamale Wednesday, etc. I often will call ahead to have them make two dozen soft tacos with a variety of meat. Food prices are going up and their menu has been crossed off several times to up prices, but I think there's still a bargain at just under two dollars each. The denison location is my favorite being closer to home, but I have had food comparable at the Sherman location as well. read more

We have been wanting to try this place for 2 years since we seen this place as just moved to the area. Looks small and have drive thru. Today was the day to try.... Well today we went in and has 10 tables and small bar area. We when pulled up saw many construction crews going in and out and this was a good sign of local food. And aesthetic food. We were welcomed inside and felt safe being Caucasian (white). Everyone welcomed like family. We ordered a ton of food from tamales, seafood, shrimp cocktail, Fajitas, queso Blanco and so much for. Even had a margarita while we waited. We are going to take back to the house and try. So far so good and did I tell you about the margarita while I waited. So good on the rocks. I love finding local and out of the way places. This is not by an means Tex-mex. This is bonafide traditional Mexican food. If you are passing through Denison then by all means exit Morton and go east and enjoy this treasure. My lovely wife tried the tamales and said they were a slice of tamale heaven. This place had some good reviews so I decided to give it a try. Can't remember the name of the dish I ordered. It was beef, mushroom, and bacon fajitas! Delicious! It comes with beans and rice. The server brought out a plate with beans and rice first. They were warm, not quite as hot as I would have liked. By the time my fajitas came out I was STARVING! So I worked on that first, by the time I got back around to the rice , it was cool. That was the most repeated negative comment in the reviews. One red salsa, one green salsa, both fantastic and fresh. I would definitely go back if I'm ever in that area again. Very reasonable prices. read more

Food is pretty good but the service is questionable, pull into the driveway and it's always a long wait before someone comes to the window even when you ordered on the phone ahead of time. Most recent time I went I had to go back twice because they forgot a part of our order, they fixed it but after returning home we realized they messed up on a different meal and again returning they said it would cost more money to fix it. I had already given them more then a 20% tip of our original order. I don't normally ask for a receipt but now I will have to. read more

Went on a Wednesday evening and it was pretty slow in here. They have $1.25 tamales on Wednesday and I probably should have ordered that but I didn't. I ordered the tacos fritos thinking it was going to be some amazing dish I've never tried before, I was wrong. They're just taquitos. I mean, they were good taquitos but not what I was expecting from the menu description. My mom got the chili relleno and she really liked it. It's a queso blanco that doesn't get all melty and runny though. No sauce on top of it which was a little different. They only bring you out one little basket of chips and two salsas (green/mild and red/spicy) and if you need more chips they will charge you $1.99 for it. We split a tres leches cake and it was pretty good. It had been kept frozen so it was more like eating ice cream cake though. Also, the AC is really lacking in here. I will go back and try something different but I will wait until the heat of summer is gone. We were all hot and sweaty while in there. Oh and you can BYOB here. read more

We looked on yelp to find a restaurant nearby while we were in town to go to Choctaw and this place had some pretty good reviews. Well deserved reviews I would say. My fiance and I ordered a dozen tamales between the two of us thinking we'd finish them off, but we were mistaken. Where we're from tamales are half the size of what we got! We barely got through 5 before we called it quits. They were amazing though and they were stuffed with lots of meat rather than just lots of filler. The only thing we were kind of disappointed with was the queso. It's just nacho cheese you can get anywhere. My husband and I were passing through on our way out of state, and stopped at Cielito Lindo because we overshot our original restaurant choice. We are so glad we ended up coming to this small, unassuming restaurant! My husband had the Parrillada; fajita beef, shrimp, chicken, bell peppers onions and fresh grilled cheese. I had the Alambre with fajita beef, mushrooms, onions, and bell peppers. Both meals were delicious. The beef was tender and flavorful, and all veggies grilled to a beautiful seared. I only wish I could have had some of the amazing homemade cheese on my husband's dish! The salsas were clearly homemade, and so good as well. Service was friendly and attentive, and our dinner was very reasonable priced. Next time in town this will be our first choice! read more

Was passing through and found this place by the Yelp's rating. Wasn't too sure with the drive-thru window but was relieved to find that the chips and salsa was made in-house. It so happened to be tamale Wednesday. All tamales were $1.25 so we got a round as an appetizer. I've had tamales from elsewhere and let me tell you those do not compare to the monster set before us. Our ticket ranged from authentic Mexican to Tex-mex. So if you're feeling a little adventurous, try something new or you could always stick with your go to order. Overall experience was amazing. I read all about this place from other yelpers and couldn't wait to try it. Boy, was I disappointed. My wife ordered fajitas that were supposed to have with it grated cheese, mushrooms, and served on a skillet. She got cold fajitas served on a plate with almost uncooked onion and green peppers and nothing else. I ordered the pork carnitas and it should be called pork jerky it was so dry and cold. Also, charro beans are on the menu, but they said they didn't have it but would make it. Very interesting.... I've never had charro beans and weiners. I also have read that there are two types of picante, green and red, we received only green. Plus even though there was hardly anyone in there, the service was almost non existent.
