I would recommend against this restaurant. Food was bad. Tamales were so hard you couldn't cut them with a knife. The Chile Relleno was horrible, enchiladas were very bland, guacamole was blended in a blender rather than freshly made. Overall it was probably the worst Mexican meal I ever had read more

I had the El Jimador burrito and a chili reliant. The burrito was okay, not very spicy at all. The chili reliant was horrible. It was burnt and had little to no taste at all. I will definitely not be back. The servers however were very attentive and polite. They were the best part of my visit. read more

The restaurant was small but very fast service. The waitress was super nice and very friendly. They played some great Spanish music while you ate and kept the chips coming. Our food, queso, and salsa was yummy. The location makes it look like it's not going to be great but to me we found a great hole in the wall restaurant. Couple of downers were that the flour tortillas were not homemade and the chicken tacitos were not as flavorful as I expected. Also, they made my heart sad by not having any more the tres leches cake. lol read more

Food was delicious. The white queso and chips/salsa were really good. I had the enchiladas especiales, which had really good red sauce. Their selection of margarita flavors is very good also. We don't live in Denison but come periodically for concerts at Choctaw. We will return. read more

I just popped in here based on reviews. I had never been here before and I was looking forward to it. I had their house fajitas which has like 5 meats in it. I also asked for it to be cooked spicy as I prefer it with more flavor. It was very good! Good flavor and overall taste! The green sauce they brought even added to the dish. All the meats were cooked well and even the shrimp was seasoned. Great portions and I had plenty left over to take home. My only issues were, the tortillas were too small. They make them on-site so they could easily be larger. Very fresh nonetheless. The veggies were a bit soggy, I like them firmer and fresher. I will definitely be back! -WINNER WINNER FAJITA DINNER- Just a hop skip away from Choctaw Casino in Durant, Oklahoma. Our first time trying this establishment and it did not fail us. Greeted and seated immediately. Menus and drinks, chips and salsa arrived in record time. We studied the extensive menu for awhile. I went with the Combination Fajitas. Chicken, steak, shrimp, bell peppers, onions and tomatoes grilled to perfection. It came with rice, beans. (I deleted the rice) sour cream, guacamole and lettuce. I ordered an additional side of grilled onions and fresh jalapeños. The additional side looked like an entire onion. I brought home enough to feed an army. They did not skimp on any items including the fresh homemade flour tortillas, so good. Not to forget the appetizer queso white cheese dip. Served warm and delicious. No way we could finish this huge bowl of cheese dip. A large family came in behind us so I did not get the waiters name. He was very professional, prompt and efficient. He repeated our order back to us for confirmation. Our food was served without any missing items. It's a win-win for us. Yes we will be returning! read more

Called in an order of chips and white queso. Person answering the phone didn't capture my order so when I arrived it wasn't ready. Thank goodness it wasn't a complicated order. Food was alright. Not fresh looking shrimp had a aftertaste. Enchiladas were fry and the beef was very salty. For the price was alright not the greatest. And very simple. We stopped hear on the way to another town and I am still drooling. I had the carna asada and my husband had the chile rellano. The food portions were large and the food was so good. Best spanish rice and beans too. Most spanish rice is dry but this was moist and had a great flavor too. We live in Aubrey, Tx so I am bummed it is over an hour away but we will be back. read more

The Margaritas are excellent ( made w/a cute smiling face, lol) This restaurant is clean, and the is the best Tex-Mex I have had thus far. The servers were polite and helpful with the menu. They kept fresh chips and salsa on the table and cleared any "used" dishes promptly. Although very busy the waiter treated us as if we were the only customers in the restaurant. They have healthy options to choose from as well as a Vegan menu. I (we) most definitely will revisit this jewel when we come to Durant again. Will add photos w/up date. read more

Don't let the Econolodge scare you away. This unassuming little restaurant was a diamond in the rough. The staff was great and fajitas tropical a tasty surprise. Served in a half pineapple, every bite was juicy, flavorful and downright delicious. Paired with the drink special -4.99 piña colada, it was a delightful meal. read more

BEST Mexican food in Durant. Don't let the location fool you or keep you away. The beef and chicken fajitas are well seasoned and tender. The chile Colorado is spicy with tender chunks of beef. I've never been disappointed here. Salsa is flavorful and chips are crispy. Peach margaritas aren't perfect strength and delicious. This was a pleasant surprise! We got the combo fajitas for two. This could have feed 3 or more people! Both the chicken and the beef had excellent flavor and came out sizzling. Oh my goodness, this place was AMAZING! Don't let the rundown buildings beside it deter you from coming! Service was probably some of the best I've ever had at a restaurant. I was craving Mexican food after talking to a customer. I text my wife and asked if I could take her for one our favorites, Mexican. I'm glad we've been married 10 years, because this would have been disappointing if I was trying to impress her. The queso was good, but that's about it.
