The rice and beans were authentic. The two dishes we tried were delicious! We ate off the lunch menu and the prices were very reasonable. I've been to this eatery three times in the last two months and it's the best Mexican food out of the six others I've tried in Sherman in the last couple of months. About a month ago I had a wonderful meal and decided to get some Menudo to go, well it was so good that I thought about frequently, I went back two days ago and got a large Menudo to go go. Well, that Menudo must have be cooked by a different cook because was just so so, also the flour tortillas had an off putting taste. New expansion of the original in Denison. Booth tables weren't ideal for a high chair due to the post at the end, but they did at least have high chairs. Food was good; decent sized portions. I really enjoyed the enchiladas suizas; the rice was really flavorful and the green sauce was tangy and delicious. The red sauce wasn't a hit with the other half. Not pictured are the street tacos we got for the small person. We got one of each -- pastor, barbacoa, and pollo. The pastor was definitely the winner of the bunch. read more

The food was terrible. The chicken in the enchilada is can chicken with no flavor. The rice was WAY under cooked and it all came out cold. I sent the food back and asked for it to be warmed and it still came back cold in spots like the microwave must be going bad. My drink had slime in it like the syrup was congealed when it goes bad. You know like when it starts getting a black mold that is growing on top? Then AFTER I paid for my meal, (I didn't ask for a discount or anything) I tried to give feedback to the waitress she straight up denied all of it instead of just say," I will let the manager know." My husband and I stopped by this restaurant on an errand trip from OK to TX. We drove by and, after reading the Yelp reviews decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised by the clean, modern and tastefully decorated interior compared to the appearance of the exterior of the restaurant. The chips and salsa are freshly made...the salsa verde is AMAZING. I had the weekday lunch fajita special and my husband had the quesadilla Cielito Lindo. We also ordered the queso blanco and guacamole to go with our meals. This place is authentic, fresh, and delicious, and we will be back whenever we are in the area! I do want to note that this place is not by any means a FAST food restaurant. There was one waitress who was pulling duty up front as the cashier, to-go server, and tending to all the patrons in the restaurant. Another waitress arrived about 30 min into the course of our experience to help. It did take a little time to get our drink order and bring out the chips and salsa and food, but this did not affect our experience. All this to say, expect to trade off a little of your time for the exceptional freshness and quality. It's worth it! read more

I've now been to this location twice and it is a huge step up from the Denison location. Very nice, clean, and spacious inside. I've tried their street tacos (barbacoa, pastor, and chicharones) and the barbacoa was my favorite but they were all delicious. I would order all three again. The second time I tried some empanada dish that had chorizo and potatoes inside with black beans. It was VERY filling. I didn't even get half way through it. I will be back to try even more of the menu. Their salsas are no joke and that green salsa will light you up. read more

I was very impressed with how delicious this food was. My first time there was yesterday 10/05/2020 and I could smell the food when I pulled into the parking lot. I ordered the chicken enchiladas with Green sauce which was A1, the chicken pazole which was also very good but was more broth then ingredients, I prefer more hominy in mine but it was good. I also ordered the chicken tamales, this was my least favorite item and I won't order them again, they weren't bad, just not how I prefer tamales. The last and final thing I ordered was a beef Chile relleno for my grandmother and she said it was a little spicy but very delicious. I give this place 2 thumbs up. read more

We have visited Cielito Lindo on Texoma Parkway three times now and loved it every time! The building looks to be a former Wendy's but has been done nicely inside with large booths and a few two tops next to the window.The first two times we each ordered tacos and were pleased with the selection of meats and how flavorful they are. The meat is plentiful on every taco and really tasty. I've had the fajita tacos as well as carne and both are wonderful. The camarones a la diabla was my choice for dinner the last time and was really good and quite spicy with a chipotle sauce and grilled onion along with plentiful shrimp. They're working on a liquor license right now so will be serving beer and mixed drinks in the future. Chips are really good and the two salsas, a red and green, are savory with a bit of heat to each. Waitstaff has been very good and efficient and are very accommodating. Although it looks like a fast food joint on the outside you'll be pleasantly surprised by all authentic and the flavorful dishes served, so try it! Waitstaff are all so friendly and helpful and service is quick and efficient. Update...we visited for lunch last Sunday and decided to try something other than the tacos. We had the guisada de puerco and the consommé de Borrego. The pork in the guisada was fork-tender and falling apart with a flavorful red sauce with sautéed onions throughout the plate. It was filling and perfect for a chilly fall day. The consommé de Borrego was a really good bowl of tender lamb in a flavorful broth with chickpeas and spices and was very filling considering we just ordered a small bowl. I couldn't recommend both dishes more! Excited to try other dishes as we visit again. You really need to try Cielito Lindo for an authentic taste of central Mexico! read more
