Lumpiang Shanghai (Egg rolls)
Aishah P.

This is my first time trying Cid's Ma Mon Luk and I think it's pretty decent! I like that you can call and order ahead for dine in, most restaurants don't do that so it's nice that they were able to prepare our food before we came in. The lady that works at the front desk was super friendly and nice. We ordered three items: Lumpiang Shanghai (Filipino egg roll) Sinigang Baboy (Sour Soup with Pork Crispy Pata (Fried Pig Trotters) The lumpiang shanghai was alright (nothing too crazy), their sinigang was sour and delicious which is just the way I like it! Their crispy pata was extra crispy and tender which I loved. This place is a very small restaurant so make sure you call ahead if you're coming in with more than four people to make sure they can accommodate to your group size.

The food and service here is amazing. I am a 100% Filipino and this place is traditional down to the bone. The food tastes fantastic, I have been coming here on occasion for years and the Lechon Kawali Fried Rice, Sizzling Sisig, Mami, and Pancit are my all time favorites!

This is a special place that screams delicious in every bite. We started with a Hot plate of sizzling sisig. The Fried rice is a must to compliment all the meat you will order. Order a variety of items to give yourself options to enjoy the next day. The service is great and as soon the food started to come it all came in a well timed manor to give us a chance to have a first taste of the food. Altogether a great experience and happy to come back as soon as possible.

Lomi

Stopped in for a quick lunch while running errands. It's a small hole in a wall that I didn't know existed until I heard they sold the creme nd crumbs sylvanas. I figured I could pick some up while here and grab some lunch. Unfortunately there were no sylvanas when I went but stayed anyway to have some lunch. They had a lot of options to choose from but eventually settled on some basic staples. I got the lomi with combination meats, chicharron bulaklak as an appetizer, chicken adobo and a siopao special. The lomi was thick and hearty. I felt like I was barely putting a dent in it. My brother ended up polishing the entire chicken adobo and a bowl of rice by himself so I assume it was enjoyable. The chicharron bulaklak was nice and crispy and the dipping sauce helped make it not so fatty. We were getting full by the time we got to the siopao so we ended up splitting it and it was delicious.

Pork sisig with egg

Awesome sisig ! They got the authentic pork cheek with egg! Very simple, down to earth Filipino dish but so tasty. Nothing pretentious on this place . This resto reminds me of the regular carinderia back home . Honest to goodness filipino cuisine , delish just like what Mom and grandma used to cook back home.

Crispy binagoongan

I was there today . Very expensive. I have to pay $9.25 for small portions of lechon kawali , its even placed on small styrofoam containers . The crispy binagoongan for $9.96 which is made from toasted chicharon mixed w/ uncooked shrimp paste & mango...not the correct recipe for that kind of dish. The siopao is $2.25/piece very small for that price. Might as well go to seafood city for siopao. I am very disappointed, I should have given them no star but the old lady whose helping us is very nice so I'm giving them 2 stars . Even the place looks dirty, I'm so sorry whoever the owner of this place they need to close the place or improve it. The place is Nile's il.

Pancit
Randy C.

First time trying this place and will probably be my last. Ordered pancit and lumpia. The pancit was a tad bit salty and the lumpia tasted like regular frozen ones, nothing special. The pancit had a mix of different noodles but you do however get a large portion of food which is why I gave two stars and the staff here is super friendly.

For $6.50 this is what you get for chicharon bulaklak

The worst restaurant in town is Ma Mon Luk. Never order chicharon bulaklak from them. Don't ruin your dinner. Please go to seafood city or kawayan and save yourself a headache.

Gf today ordered seafood Bicol express and paid $14.50 for size smaller than small as you will see in pic next to my small small fire stick remote! Are they kidding!!! Taste was ok but dam!!!!! And she also ordered Achara which flavor was bland at best! Also her friend ordered a take out while there and the woman who took the order said she would just call her on her cell when food is ready.... so after awhile waiting in the truck with no call... decided to go into the restaurant to find the orders were ready... However the woman was too busy chitchatting on the phone instead of calling to say the order is ready!! Really! If I could give a negative stars I would!

Good Filipino food. Only 3 stars because seating is limited and they charge for plain rice which is not even good quality rice.

After a long day of walking, talking, and imagining his future, we were more than ready for a comforting dinner. Tita Mia's has been a staple for us ever since a very good friend introduced it to our family a couple of years ago, and it has become a non‑negotiable stop every time we're in town. The moment you step inside, you're greeted by their inviting pastry area, an instant mood‑setter that hints at the good meal ahead. As we walked further in, the ambiance washed over me with a wave of nostalgia. Everything about the space, the décor, the warmth, the familiar scents, reminds me of home in Manila. It's the kind of place that makes you feel like you're about to enjoy a true Filipino dinner, not just a restaurant meal. Since it wasn't too busy, we were seated right away and our server took our order promptly. Service was quick and friendly, which we always appreciate after a long day. We ordered some of our favorites: Kare-Kare, sisig, and lumpiang gulay. Each entrée comes with rice, so there was no need to order extra. The food arrived fast and piping hot. Their Kare-Kare is exceptional, rich, creamy, and full of that deep peanut flavor that instantly brought me back to my mom's cooking. The sisig came out sizzling just the way it should, perfectly cooked and not overly salty like versions I've had elsewhere. And the lumpiang gulay was freshly fried, crisp, and absolutely perfect when dipped in vinegar and paired with rice. By the end of the meal, we were happily stuffed, with enough leftovers to take home. Tita Mia's continues to be one of those places that feels like a warm hug, consistent, comforting, and deeply satisfying. We'll always make it a point to come back, and I highly recommend it to anyone craving authentic Filipino flavors.

Perfect for large family gatherings.

I find the all the dishes I've tried are perfectly balanced in flavor, my favorite being the lechon kawali. Other honorable mentions go to the frankenstein cookie (half ube, pandan), the pandan cold brew, and the breakfast combo plate. On my latest visit, I was able to meet Chef Kathy who was extremely kind and cultivated such a warm environment where all her guests were also community. But the moment we walked in, we felt like we were bothering the staff. We walked up to the register and she asked us what we wanted. When we asked a question about the menu she restated the menu name saying that what it is. We started ordering and she kept aggressively asking is that all you want? And we just rushed and ordered and sat down. We ordered the lumpia, the breakfast sandwich, and the pork belly with garlic rice. We also ordered a pandan cold brew and a ube cold brew. For dessert I got an ube cookie. The lumpia came out almost immediately, but was super super salty. I took one bite and couldn't finish it even with the sweet chili sauce but my husband kept eating at it. Our entrees came out shortly after the sandwich was good, and the pork belly was crispy. It was a great size portion. We waited to eat our food until we got our drinks, which came out quite a bit later after we got our food. The drinks were great and full of flavor. After we finished our meal, we went to the counter to find someone to ask for our cookie because we hadn't received and we were the only ones In the restaurant. It took a while until someone came out, so we rang the bell. She gave us our cookie after checking we never got it. So we took it to go. Overall the food was exactly what it was listed as, but I don't know I'll come back to the brick and mortar maybe just support them at various pop up markets.

To break my husband into the varied Filipino menu (aside from what he's been exposed to eating during family dinners) as we approach our upcoming trip to the Philippines. I gotta say the food is pretty good! My favorites are obviously their renowned eggrolls. We personally enjoyed the beef and pork filled lumpia. Other favorites were the Binondo fried chicken, the Mushroom and Tofu Adobo, Lechon Kawali and the cholesterol inducing Crispy Pata! LoL! Service was courteous, albeit slow, but when the food came out the quality shined. I would love to return to have more eggrolls, try out their sweets (they have a big selection) and come back for the Beef Pares-Miki Noodle. I liked the modern Tagalog/Filipino music selection along with the spacious and comfy seating. They have a good sized parking lot and it's definitely a solid place to enjoy Filipino food.
