I have ordered from here a couple times. What drew me in was the reasonably priced lunch specials. However, that might be the best thing they have going for them. The dishes I have had have been bland and mushy. The broccoli in the Pad See Ew, which is what I ordered on my most recent visit, had heavy yellowing so it was not the freshest ingredient. The service is fine. I had just a short exchange with the woman working the register, as both visits were carry out, but seems very friendly. The food is generally good. $7.95 lunch specials and a relatively efficient jaunt down Oakton make this a dependable lunch option for me, closer and slightly cheaper than my other favorite. My preferred entrees are pad thai and ginger. Spicy basil is okay, but the ground chicken is not the greatest. In general, the vegetables seem to be pretty fresh in all of the dishes, which counts for a lot in my book. They include a few pieces of fresh fruit in the lunch special; that's a nice touch. Very good food and great customer service ! I went there this past Friday when I ordered carry out and when I went to pick it I didn't realize I left my debit card at home!! They did accept Apple Pay but for some reason it wasn't working on my phone and the owner said "don't worry pay me next time you're here"! How often do you hear that ?? I have a reverse commute from the city to Des Plaines. There's not much in this area besides chains so I was really happy when my friend introduced me to Thai Square. They have great deals on their lunch specials. I've had their pad thai, mixed vegetables, basil chicken, pad see ew, tom yum soup, and fried rice. Everything always has great flavor and is fresh. The lunch special comes with crispy egg rolls and half of an orange. I recommend asking for their complimentary hot sauce if you like some additional heat. They're also very sweet when you pick up your order. This is such a great little gem. read more

The food quality is good, however this is not my complaint. Before I order any food delivery, I read the menu ingredients in each dish. I need to know if they add anything that I do not like to eat. Today I ordered this: 11. Large Tom Kha Soup Spicy & sour with coconut milk marinated ground pork in chicken broth, baby bok choy and cilantro. Spicy. However, what I received was: TOMATO, ONION, MUSHROOM and RED BELL PEPPER! None of these items are listen in the menu ingredients! It is deceiving and highly irresponsible to serve a dish with ingredients that are not listed on the menu. UPDATE YOUR MENU with accurate descriptions. read more

Decent enough. I was happy to see this long time establishment got some help with their forced relocation. I went here ages ago when I was in the area and when I saw the move decided I had to try it again. About 22 dollars for pad Thai, drunken noodles and crab rangoon. Pad Thai wasn't the best but wasn't terrible. There wasn't much flavor to it and no lime wedge to kick it up a notch. I had to add some flavorings at home. Drunken noodles were flavorful. I ordered it medium heat and that was just hot enough for me. I'm into heat but don't want it to kill all the other flavors and this was just right. Crab rangoon are little in empanada shapes. 5 per order. Appreciated they cut a tiny hole in the corner of the container to let the steam escape rather than soggy them up. The quantity per item is x-large which is nice. I probably wouldn't order the pad Thai again but the drunken noodles yes. Don't forget to ask them for silverware and napkins for take out. I feel like they should do that automatically but they did not. read more

We came here recently on a Sunday not long before they closed. Still, they welcomed us to dine in. There were four of us and we all enjoyed our meals. I ordered dumplings and drunken noodles, one of my favorite Thai dishes. It was all excellent. Oakton St., Des Plaines where American Wildburger used to be. The Good: + Delicious food + Affordable prices ($7.95 lunch special Mon to Fri) + Friendly service The Bad: - Not a place to dine in. See photos. "Dine in" consists of 2 tables for two, and a countertop that seats about five people overlooking Oakton Street. I miss the old restaurant where they had several tables/chairs. -Ambiance is now lost. There are only about 9 parking spaces on its lot. I parked next to the garbage can when I came by to pick up my order. Interior, as described, was not "eat in" inviting. The Verdict: I would order take out but not dine in. read more

Very bland flavor, which is very unusual for Thai food and the "crispy" basil was as wet and soggy. Won't order from here again. Too many good alternatives in the area. read more

So glad this fine establishment has opened at it's new location. So much work converting the old Wild burger location. (Wild Burger next door now in a larger space). This Thai restaurant is welcoming and so delicious. Lunch specials really good too! They are closed every Tuesday. That starts the 2nd week in January 2019. This was the worst food I've ever had! I wouldn't even call it Thai, the entree i ordered had no seasoning or flavor. The chicken was dried out & tasted like rubber. I attempted to doctor it up at home by adding my own seasoning, but ended up throwing it away. Such a disappointment & waste of money!!! Never again!!!! read more

Was looking for some good late night thai so I ordered for delivery. I ordered chicken fried rice, pad thai, chicken satay, thai tea and mango sticky rice for dessert. It came pretty quickly. Was $40 for all that. Portions are good size. The chicken satay came with peanut sauce and cucumber salad. They tasted like fish. I was immediately grossed out by that as I do not eat fish. They also had very chewy ends. Ew. The fried rice was burned? It had chunks of burned rice and was flavorless. Completely flavorless. The pad thai was mediocre. The thai tea was decent, regular thai tea. The most disappointing part was what I was looking forward to the most- the mango sticky rice. The mango was dried out and rice tasted really bad. There is usually a good amount of coconut milk on top and this rice was just dry and hard as if it had been sitting all day. Smh I will not order from here again.
