China Wok exceeded my expectations. It's mostly carry out and the interior is modest, but most importantly, the food was excellent. I had the chicken with steamed mixed vegetables, and it was hot, fresh, light, and flavorful. The eggroll was homemade and nicely filled. You can really taste the care put into the preparation. Delicious!! There is a wide menu on par with options at any solid Chinese restaurant. Looking forward to trying other items. Highly recommend!! read more

"We were greeted with friendly service--they even made recommendations and alerted us five minutes before the lunch specials ended so we could still get the deals. The food was great. Food was plentiful and came out quickly. The egg rolls were good and most of the rest of what we ordered was okay. I found the food to be surprisingly bland and they cut the noodles in the lo-mien, which was pretty disappointing. It was my first time there, I'll likely give it another try, maybe they were having an off night. read more

The woman who works there needs to learn customer service skills. Because we took too long on the phone she was having a fit and said we're busy! Very rude. Secondly, she barely spoke English and that's fine, I'm not a hater, BUT she was taking it out on me because she was not understanding. I said BBQ pork and she kept saying roasted pork. Then I asked if orange chicken was on the lunch special and she said yes but it wasn't. (I think she just wanted to get it ordered and didn't care.) The only reason we go there is because it's cheap. The guy employee is way nicer. The food is average. Others are better but it's good enough for the cheaper price lunch special. Just that one minute interaction permanently makes one look poorly on s place. Good customer service is worth ten times what it costs the business in just being welcoming or appreciate your business rather than act like customers are a pain. Decent place for takeout. Got some Mongolian beef, chicken with garlic sauce, and house special fried rice. The chicken with garlic sauce actually was spicy which was a nice surprise. They were very busy with lots of people who had placed orders on the phone coming in to get their orders, deliveries going out and people walking in and ordering. It's a small place and can't really seat too many people but it's definitely more of a takeout place. read more

China Wok is a fine quick service restaurant to get some Chinese food from. They can usually have your call in orders ready within 10-15 minutes of ordering. The restaurant doesn't really have a lot of available dine in space, it's definitely more a to go restaurant as the inside is pretty small. The Chinese Food here is pretty good, but it seems like every time I go to place an order, the prices continue to go up and up whenever I want to place an order (inflation!). Here's a tip - if you order from here, do the lunch special as you get a ton of food and get a few bucks off compared to non lunch time orders. read more

I love the Americanized Chinese Food at China Wok II. I've been going there for lunch specials since I moved to the area, 6 or 7 years ago. They were really a great deal for the price, and truly a "lunch special" price. I'm giving CW four stars because unfortunately the past few years the prices have skyrocketed for lunch specials, from $5.95 up to $10.50 now. Personally I used to go weekly but now to me that is not a "special" price and is the same or more than any other local lunch fast food. I can't justify the almost doubling of the price in just a few short years, so sadly I have been frequenting the shop less and less. I do love the food but it's not the same value it once was. My wages haven't almost doubled, so I can't afford to pay almost double. read more

** Super Fast Service ** This is the first and I hope only one star review I have written. A off day could be understood after all we are people and no one is perfect. This was two for two. There will not be a third time. The "super fast service" is the only good thing I can say about this place. Ordered delivery and the food was here in about fifteen minutes, not that I'm complaining about fast service but fifteen minutes should have been a red flag for the amount of food we ordered. I honestly believe some of the food was actually spoiled. Bbq Pork: can not even describe the taste. It was. unrecognizable. Horrible taste to the meat and terrible aftertaste from the sauce. Orange Chicken: Again with the terrible tang from the sauce. Never experienced such a taste. You don't expect the greatest when ordering Chinese, usually your in the mood for something specific. This place was thee WORST I have ever eaten. The absolute worst. Everything tasted completely off. The tang in the food was not of too much spice or syrup but of spoiled food. Unbelievably bad. Safe to say we will not be ordering from here again. I urge others to find an alternative. read more

I absolutely love this China Wok! I live just down the block and order from them at least a couple of times a week. I have tried many of their dishes and I am never disappointed. Last time I visit, I had the cumin lamb, which was spicy and flavorful, and the soup dumplings, which were absolutely delicious. The food is hot and fresh, the portion size is very generous and the owner is so kind. Restaurant was busy, quick, and friendly! I've been comming here for over 10 years and never a problem with using the coupon for free food after spending $38. But was short .20 cents and the kid that works there now made a big deal about the deal ( orange chicken). It said on the online order it was applied but they never put it on. They want to fight over .20 cents is very bad business. Make sure you check the coupon is before tax or you get NOTHING. The old man that was there before would of not been mean and gave the food. I am completely surprised how good China Wok II is! I've seen it a million times but didn't think much of it because it looked a bit shabby and was in a strip mall. However the prices are amazing and the food is even better! Shocked. The lady working was friendly, nice & quick in taking my order. For two lunch specials piled HIGH with food it was only $9.75. It really is a ton of food. I got one to have for lunch and one to have for dinner but it was way too big to eat it all in one sitting for lunch. For lunch I tried the eggroll and sesame chicken. I'm very picky with my eggrolls and they have VERY good eggrolls. Big, crispy, filled with an extremely tasty combination of ingredients inside. I loved it! The sesame chicken was better then I've had anywhere in a long time. The flavor was amazing, just spot on. The chicken pieces were the perfect size and perfect crispness. For dinner, I had the sweet & sour pork. Again very tasty, way above average, huge portion, better then usual pork. I will absolutely be back to China Wok II! read more

Maybe I've been super spoiled in the past, but every single Chinese restaurant I've ever been to has offered some sort of sauce with the rangoons. Been ordering from this lace for probably 20 years, they were always a cheap fast alternative, lately the place has become down right disgusting! I just picked up a dish called Four Seasons, $13.96, supposed to have Beef, Pork, chicken, and shrimp. First off there was only one shrimp, the beef was filled with gristle, inedible! I ordered from China Wok for a family event. Spoke to Ken . I ordered a tray of Vegetable Egg Rolls, crab Rangoon and Shrimp fried rice. I asked Ken to cut the egg rolls in half and when the order was delivered , it was exceptional!! The Egg Rolls were all perfectly sliced in halves, the crab Rangoon was crispy and full of crab and the shrimp fried rice was perfect. The amounts were perfect. My family was very impressed. The delivery was on time and the delivery person was wonderful. Ken confirmed my order that it would be delivered on time and the amounts would be sufficient for my event. His advise was right on. A little Chinese take-out joint found in a strip mall. The place is clean enough to sit and have a quick meal and could probably handle a few customers dining-in at a time. The Crab Rangoon was bland and if ordered, you'll need a lot of sauce to enjoy. Their egg roll was better than decent. Fresh, though not oily or soggy. I stopped in on a weekday to try a lunch special and found the food to be...average. They offered a good portion and the taste was alright, for the price. If you've read other reviews, you'll notice that some of the ladies mention a large portion or "foods piled high." Not the case for my Dad and I. But when the next customers entered I noticed something a little fishy. All customers get a sizable portion with the lunch special, right. But, if there's a dude at the counter when an attractive lady enters, well, she's in for a surprise = food, piled, high. Not to get anyone's hopes up or to cause a stir, it really depends on the likes of the counter guy. That day, he clearly had a thing for "Gilfs.". Food / cost ratio is alright but I don't think I'd repeat. Even though we spent close to twenty dollars on food, they asked for $.30 cents for hot sauce, stating the charge has something to do with rising food costs. (My ass, seriously. Good: hot & sour soup was ok. Bad: ordered large shrimp w/broccoli. It had clumps of jelly-like starch that wasn't dissolved and stuck everything together. I never quite seen anything like it before. The broccoli was over cooked as well which was pretty unusual for Chinese food. My plan of saving half for another meal didn't work out as I threw away most of it. If you're used to NYC Chinese take out, this place may very well disappoint you - at least that's my feeling right now. Disappointing food. It kind of disintegrates in your mouth without chewing and leaves this weird grainy feeling in your mouth. Almost as if this food has been frozen, even freezer burned - for a long time. I ordered steamed dumplings which were good, I had to pretty much eat them plain because I got a 1/3 of the way filled tiny container of the dumpling sauce, definitely needed more. I ordered the moo shu chicken with the 4 pancakes. There was no hoisin sauce. That's what makes the moo shu. So I had chicken and cabbage because that's what it was without the hoisin. Make sure you ask for napkins & utensils ... I don't think they put that in with the order u less you ask. read more
