What the hell? I ordered online and they confirmed the order but never delivered. I called and they said they were waiting for the driver to return...it was 10 min til closing. Called again 10 min after they closed when the food still wasn't here. As soon as I hit submit on this 1 star review the food showed up. I was still pissed but at least the food was edible. I'm pretty sure they gave me chicken when I ordered shrimp, but it was tasty at least. I ordered Thai crazy noodles (or something along those lines). Well, I came here for my lunch many times in the past, but didn't have a chance to write review for it. This place is pretty much more to go than eat-in. Because they have only 3 tables. The food gets better since they have new owner. I ordered the beef Lo mien lunch special, and it came with egg roll. The price was reasonable for the amount of food. It was a bit so weird dish, be came with half noodle and half fried rice. However, the fried rice was much less oily than other Chinese food to do place. But the noodles are a bit salty in my opinion. Very friendly owner. I will have another review with other dishes. read more

We were looking for a Chinese restaurant, and came past China Garden. The restaurant is very small, and clearly designed as a carry-out place. Only three tables, and really not very welcoming as a setup. Functional and clean, just not with any kind of atmosphere. The food is actually very good! We tried two different dishes, mine being Mongolian Shrimp. LOTS of Shrimp, and wonderfully rich (and spicy) flavor. We also added egg rolls, and though tasty, were not hot fresh. They would be better if made to order with the rest of our food - or brought out ahead of time, if this was the case. Just an idea for the owners. ;-) Overall, excellent option for take-out, but not so much for dine in. Great option to keep in mind when we're looking to take Chinese home. read more

All the family combos come with egg roll, crab Rangoon, chicken wing, egg drop soup, and cookies. There were 4 egg rolls, 4 crab rangoons, 4 chicken wings, and one large container of egg drop soup. The orange chicken, chicken broccoli, and Mongolian beef tasted great! They all tasted the way it's suppose to--had the classic flavors of each kind. The fried rice was a little on the hard side. The food is excellent, and my husband is a pretty tough critic on good Asian food. I love being able to call in my order before I get off work and stop here on my way home. I used to love the Hong Sue Tofu. They seemed to have changed the recipe, which isn't a big deal, just kind of bummed because I was expecting the same sauce to put over the rice. Don't get me wrong, I love the improved Hong Sue Tofu just as much. The spring rolls are excellent, and every time I order them I swear I could eat like 60 of them. This place is the worst Chinese restaurant in the area! We ordered our food at 8:30. At 9:45 we called to find out where the food was at? Do keep in mind we are only ONE mile away! We were told that the order was canceled for no reason. We were advised to pick up the order, as to they were closing. Horrible service, 1st time I was going to try this place. I ordered a General Tso's chicken lunch and 2 sushi rolls, placed my order, paid and sat down to wait. After about maybe 10 minutes the guys from the register comes upto me and says they can't make the sushi because they are too busy, doni want a refund, something else or store credit. I say refund and we go upto the register. He looks at the receipt to figure the refund out and says if $18 is ok. So the total for the 2 rolls themselves is $18.20 plus tax. Why would you offer less than what you charged for something you fail to deliver. On my way home I received a call from the restaurant indicating that they forgot one of my items. He asked that I come back to pick it up. I explained that I was almost home when he called and the food would be cold if I returned to the restaurant and then make my way back home. He did not offer to have it delivered even though it was their mistake. This is the second time they have left an item off my order. When I mentioned this he didn't care and asked again if I would be back to pick up the item HE neglected to include. I asked if he cared about their customers. There was no answer. I told him I would not order from him again and he told me it was my choice. Food is mediocre at best. DON'T BOTHER! I stopped in China Garden yesterday to order Hung Su Chicken. Since I've never eaten here before and didn't see it in the menu I asked the cashier if they had it. He said yes. I ordered it and brought it back to my place. When I opened the carton I discovered it was not Hung Su Chicken which consists of breaded white meat chicken, a ton of veggies and brown sauce. Since it was late I decided to stop in the restaurant the next day to see if they would just give me steamed veggies as I had leftovers that I would eat. When I spoke to the cashier he tried to tell me "that's how we make Hing Su Chicken" to which I replied, "I've been eating it for years at many, many different Chicago area Chinese restaurants and never, not once, was I served plain chicken and rice. It had nothing but sautéed chicken (no breading like sweet and sour chicken) and white rice. Seriously, it wasn't even close. Then the manager came out and tried to tell me the same thing. When I explained that since they didn't have the item on the menu then they shouldn't say they can make it. Then he yelled at me that "this is how we make it!" and that if I wanted vegetables then I'd have to pay $9 for them. I told him that it wasn't ok and as I walked out he continued to yell at me.
