Oh. My. God. I can't even fathom how anyone can make better lobster ravioli elsewhere. The pasta dough was perfect thickness and the filling was not just a lobster mix, but true to taste and texture real pieces of lobster and delicious cheese (assuming ricotta and others). Everything we had here was fantastic but the lobster rav takes the cake of all lobster rav's we've had all over the country! Hours are weird and sometimes they run out of lobster rav so call in to see if they still have it. But the owner is incredibly nice and willing to explain. read more

This place serves really lovely takeaway/make at home ravioli. We ordered the lobster as well as the butternut squash. The pasta is perfectly thin and the fillings are well seasoned. This is one of the best kept secrets of Dallas Restaurants. Don't be fooled by the exterior because you'll absolutely fall in love with the dishes as soon as you try it. The outside is definitely on the humble side. Civello's makes incredible ravioli and other homemade pasta dishes for some of the big Italian restaurants in the DFW metroplex. They also have a few hours where they're open and sell to the general public as well. The hours are limited, but if you can sneak by here, it's worth a trip. They have tons of in house pasta dishes and the ravioli is to die for. Everything is incredible and their flavors switch routinely. They also have a few sauces they sell with their dishes and other items as well. Prices are pretty decent and worth the trip. We purchased three varieties; the spinach, porcini and shrimp ravioli. Also bought their red sauces, one marinara and one with mushrooms. The bag is enough for 2-3 servings so $12 isn't a bad price. I love my pasta so for me it's going to be 2 servings. Raviolismo recently started having Saturday operating hours, so I finally got to visit, as I had already heard so much about it. It is in a very non-assuming location off Peak and Bryan St, and if you blink, you'll miss it. But take it from me, you DON'T want to miss it. When you walk inside, you will notice the little ladies toiling over the pasta machine and the stuffing/cutting table. As far as I am concerned, these ladies are goddesses. When you watch how swiftly they work, and with what precision, it will suddenly make you think that it would be really easy to make this at home. (It's not.) I usually order a couple of bags of beef ravioli, as well as what seasonal flavor is available (My recent loves were the portabella/porcini mushroom ravioli, and the butternut squash ravioli. They come in bags that need to stay frozen, so be sure you get home not too long after purchasing them. The flavors are absolutely delicious. I have not had anything here that I didn't like. Check their facebook for new flavors, too. They also have lasagna, and different types of sauce, for those of you who want to do the one-stop-shop thing. If it weren't for the crazy hours, I would definitely be a regular customer. But alas, they are only open m-f/9-3 and I take the morning train I work that 9 to 5 and then...this little neighborhood gem is already closed by then. They're open by appointment on Saturdays, but their raviolis are a bit pricey (since they're so special) and I never have a good enough reason to drag the little old man (who runs the place) out of bed. They sell a different assortment of raviolis each day (many of which feature seasonal ingredients) as well as pastas, meatballs, and lasagna. Everything is hand crafted. Their butternut squash ravioli is especially tasty. I pass Raviolismo Civello's EVERYDAY on my way to work. They're easy to miss since for the longest time they just had a small sign black and white sign in a nondescript font with "RAVIOLI FACTORY" and a teeeeenie tiny Raviolismo Civello sign on their door. Just recently they got an actual store front sign. I know they weren't always open to the public; selling only to restaurants. That's probably why they've survived with that dinky sign since the 50's. read more

We had the seasonal ravioli which was stuffed with pumpkin and Marsala sauce which is very flavorful and different to the regular tomato sauce. Delicious pasta, the best in Dallas! My mom and I walked into this little store after going through the entire process of a minor car accident. We were still shaken and very hungry, but the person who took our order was so nice and patient. He explained to us how to prepare the pasta and even gave us ideas on how to cook/serve it. We were not aware this place was not a restaurant (as that was our expectation), but we didn't mind. The pasta was absolutely delicious! I stopped by after internet searching for ready made fresh pasta to cook at home in Dallas and found Civello's. I picked up the beef and nutty pumpkin ravioli. The beef ravioli was $10 for 24 ravioli frozen for home use. The beef ravioli was not the standard ravioli I have bought at a grocery store. It is definitely fresh, flavorful and filled with seasonings. I also bought the Succa di Portabella marinara sauce and it was generous with portabella mushrooms and garlic. Overall the prices are competitive with Jimmy's food store frozen ravioli but taste fresher. Jimmy's frozen ravioli is made by a manufacturer in Brooklyn. This is some of the best pasta I have had in Dallas and I will return to buy more in the future. read more

LOVE Civello's Raviolisimo. It is a Dallas icon. Run by a Sicilian family - Phil Civello and his sister, Chena Civello. Everything is made on location, by hand. You see them working when you walk in the shop. Love the ravioli & lasagna. My favorite ravioli is the 3 cheese jalapeno. My husband's favorite is the beef and spinach. My favorite lasagna is the eggplant. Hubby likes the beef (no surprise there, huh?). One of the very best things you can get there are the stuffed artichokes. They are out of this world!
