I'm still eating here semi-regularly, primarily because it's extremely convenient (walking distance). The best thing I can say about the food is that everything is reliably fresh, and the service is mostly solid. The patio is a bonus. Between the blaring music (why???) and the nearby traffic noise, it's still way, way too loud, but it's so nice to watch folks walking around the neighborhood, and to be able look across at the park, that we just endure it. I'm not the biggest fan of Tex-Mex, but their chicken tortilla soup is excellent, and probably the thing I order the most regularly. Also, the huge steak burrito is pretty good, especially topped with hatch chile, and the vegetable enchiladas are something a bit different, and always tasty. I cannot emphasize enough how very much I still hate their pathetic chips. Shudder. (Luckily, I shouldn't be eating them anyway, so I guess it's a silver lining?) That said, the salsa that comes out with the chips is really good. It doesn't have much kick, but it's fresh and flavorful. Very homestyle. I ordered food for a party at my office. The food was delivered to a home nearby. Luckily the homeowner called me and I was able to send someone to pick up the food at their house. When I called Chuy''s to say that my food had not arrived, I did not receive an apology. They told me they would give me a $30 refund. I find that funny because I would never use them again and that's worth a lot more than $30. read more

I've here a few times but not in a while bc it was bad the time before. This time was much better, however, my biggest problem was the "salsa". It was basically pico but I wouldnt call it salsa, I dont know if the blender was broken or if that's how they have it but I was a let down. The chips were great though, food was pretty good, much better than last time. You can tell they used real chicken breast and the veggies were pretty fresh. Ambiance: This place has a fun vibe. Super crowded but staff was wearing masks. Despite being crowded we had excellent service. Taste test: I enjoyed the food especially the jalapeño salsa. Seriously request it as soon as you sit down. The chips were also some of the best because they were so thin and crispy. The margarita and fajitas were good. Not sure it's because asked them to separate the chicken but the flavor of the chicken was okay, not the best I've ever had but still tasty. read more

After several strike outs in dining choices, I hit a home run going to Chuy's! On a bitter cold Sunday night about 8pm, we got in and sat pretty quickly. It wasn't packed but pretty busy. Denise was our server and she really made our dining experience great! My son and I both ordered the Chuychanga, mine with red sauce, he got queso. We went on a Monday around 2ish. So there was plenty of parking across the street & no wait. We ended up getting a comfy booth and our servers were super nice, patient and knowledgeable. I ordered a frozen lemonade with vodka and WOW. That's the kind of drink that sneaks up on you because it's so amazing you can keep drinking and drinking. I only had one LOL I also ordered a combo burrito with queso and side of jalapeño ranch. Everything was delicious! I was so stuffed from starting off with FRESH tortillas, chips, queso, jalapeño ranch and salsa - oh yes all of the tings. So I ended up taking my burrito for leftovers. I just really love Chuys. First of all, their patio is PERFECT for a lunch with friends. Second, their chips and salsa are on point! Definitely get a side of ranch to go with them because it is literally addictive. Also, their entire menu is pretty good. I've never had bad service here, always friendly and efficient. The ambiance is great. I have no complaints. I only gave 4 stars because it's not the best Mexican food in town, it is still a chain restaurant vibe (which really can't be helped) but I do enjoy Chuys and would recommend it to anyone looking for casual Tex Mex in Fort Worth. read more

Let me start my review off by saying that this place is ALWAYS busy, and after trying it for the first time, I have no idea why. We had a party of 8, came in as a walk-in party, and were seating in 25 minutes on a Monday night at 6:30pm. Not too bad. Lots of seating. The environment was great- such a fun/unique vibe, and lots to look at. I'd rate this environment an 8 out of 10! Our server was wonderful! He did a great job at checking in at just the right times, keeping our table clear, making sure we had what we needed, and was overall just a great server and personality. This place lost me (and my whole group) when it came to the food. We had high expectations because this place is so popular. However, the food was so distasteful that I felt like I was going to puke. I have never had such terrible Mexican food. I thought I was the only one, however, the rest of my table also hated their meals. We barely touched our food. I really do not mean to sound harsh, but I am just utterly shocked at how much I did not like it. I am not a picky eater by any means, however, I couldn't fathom taking more than 2 bites. While we thoroughly enjoyed everything else about this place, it is a restaurant and we went there for the food. I wanted to rate this place higher but I can't. So I'm a little bit of a slacker when coming to write this review! When I finally got to try this location it was a bit of a tough day, we had found out some unfortunate news about someone we knew. We had tried to come here once before and they had been super swamped, but on this particular visit we had been sat right away. So we had ended up in the area to try a drink place and decided to stop here for some comfort tacos during this particular time when we had been able to get sat right away. We ended up sitting upstairs which is a really nice area to sit in. I originally was worried about sitting upstairs but Staff was friendly and fast in helping us. As a bonus our food came out extremely fast, as if they knew what we wanted before we knew what we wanted. My husbands giant burrito was good, and my tacos ended up delicious! Free Nacho Bar...say what!!! First Visit to Chuy's and it was still happy hour. I was thinking great drink specials but we learned about the nacho bar. while we were eating one of the staff accidentally splattered some beer on my husband's hat and a little while later, our waiter saw him sort of wiping his hat and asked if the beer had splattered on it and he said yes, so the waiter said that he would let the manager know he was very, very concerned about it and a few minutes later, the manager came over with some club soda and a cloth to wipe off of the hat and then they gave us a discount on our meal and I felt like that was a very high level of service considering that it was just a few little drops of beer that had fallen on his hat so we really appreciated that.
