I ordered catering from here and it was honestly pretty underwhelming. The service was fine, but I really did not like that everything came in styrofoam since it felt wasteful and not environmentally friendly. There was plenty of food, but the chicken was very dry and the tortillas tasted stale. The guacamole was the best part, but overall I would not come back.

Super yummy!

We are suckers for a quick meal. . .add to that a tacos quick meal. . .count us in! We live less than a mile from Rusty Taco and for some reason, hesitated to give this spot a try-- our mistake! My husband is from California and I'm from South Texas so we do love our tacos! During our first visit we tried about four different tacos-- all were very tasty! The queso and Ritas were impressive as well. I docked Rusty Taco one star due to their chips. Half were the corn chips you get at a sporting event, and half were more authentic and tasty. I'd like to think maybe it was just that they ran out of the good chips and made due with the not so great chips. . . not sure though ‍. I suppose we will have to revisit to find out. I would pass on the fried jalapeños, nothing to write home about there. The jalapeños were pickled, I think fried fresh jalapeños served with their ranch would be a better option-- the pickled just didn't do it for this South Texas gal. All in all, we will give it another shot. Also, take note that they have breakfast tacos!!! Great option for when you're hosting friends/family over and want a lazy morning at home! We will report back when we also give their breakfast tacos a try!

I tried this spot out with my friend Lu because she recommended it and they added taco bowls to the menu . There's plenty of room inside for customers and a casual ambiance.. the staff was very friendly and courteous.. The main reason for the 3 stars is the portion size of the tacos .. it would take two tacos to compare to one taco at a place like Torchys for the same price.. so these tacos were kind of small .. I have trouble finishing 3 tacos at Torchys and I was still hungry after 3 tacos at Rusty so your money seems to go further at Torchys... Lu ordered a fish taco bowl with added steak and her one bowl portions were more than my 3 tacos portion so very inconsistent portion sizes.. I'll given them another try but my confidence level is low ..

I just moved to Texas and I am trying the restaurants that Michigan didn't have. A few were very good. But many were very sub par. I went before the Corona hoax so it was business as usual so no excuses for these businesses. I saw that R Taco changed their name and seemed to have cleaned up their exterior signage but as I walked up I saw what appeared as a shabby old Mexican joint trying to appear as seasoned and well visited. It didn't pull it off. I went in a sat down and tried to find someone to help me, but no one around. Except a few people talking to friends or what appeared as regulars drinking multiple margaritas. I tried to find a menu or something to let me know what they had to offer as food, but nothing noticeable. So I just waited for someone to pass by and inquire if I was the cigar store indigenous person since I hadn't moved and they just kept walking past me. After 28 minutes of no one approaching me or even saying hello I can help you. I will return. A regular showed me I could order online and pick it up and never have to talk to anyone since no one seems to interact with customers. I ordered 5 different street tacos and I will give reviews on them if they ever are prepared. They say 16 minutes. I was surprised. 5 different tacos were done in 14 minutes and waiting for me when I went in after 17 minutes. I had the BBQ Brisket Taco first. It had a great BBQ flavor, a little too much for a Taco. But the meat was tender and the fixins were tasty too. I would say these would make anyone happy. So if you go inside looking for help give up on that. You will never find help. But go online and setup an online account and order your food online and you may find something that will make your gullet happy.

Frozen mango margarita with tajin rim

This is my favorite place in Fort Worth for tacos/margaritas. Best happy hour in the area. I always get a frozen strawberry/ mango one. Employees are always so welcoming and nice.

I was really impressed with this place! Until last week, this place was unheard of. Coupons were given for free queso and chips so, I decided to check it out. The Cashier was super nice! She was respectful of our time. There were two ladies in front of us trying to figure out what taco they wanted and the cashier said, very kindly, " I'll be with you guys in just a minute. I ordered my free chips and queso, which needed the managers approval. The Manager was a young attractive Latino who looked super sleepy. I asked, how he was doing and perked right up. I decided to order a traditional taco. A #13, The Texican Taco for $2.75. My tortilla was rough around the edges. Is this why this place is called Rusty Taco? Is this suppose to be your signature? Please, tell me how you came up with the name? However, it was loaded with tasty seasoned beef but, the ground beef was not chopped finely. It was more like chunks of ground beef. My taco was filled with fresh crispy lettuce and it tasted as good as it looked. The Texican photographed well too! See my photos. The taco was super humble, it was just as humble as my cooking! Lmbo! I sure did enjoy it though. Rusty Taco has and industrial playful vibe. This restaurant is not afraid to play around with color either. A few walls are black with with white letters. It makes me think of my Johnny Cash shirt. lol. The menu has eye popping colors consisting of yellow, blue, and red. The bar has cute yellow bar stools pushed up against a gray tile, really pretty! I love those colors together. Through out the restaurant blue and yellow are prominent. They have a lot of funny quotes posted through out the restaurant that can be fun to take pictures of. My girlfriend and I had a blast doing this! There were like ten families there and they also seem to be enjoying their food. When we left, the manager told us to come back soon. I will definitely come back! I know, exactly what I will be ordering too. Thanks for reading, Your Texican Taco Lover, Melissa

Cheap rita for $6. Lots of tequila

I kept thinking let me the heck out of here. There were multiple kids running around playing hide n go seek. Parents sitting out on the patio. Staff just let them run. Huh. Anyhow not friendly when I let the gentleman at the counter know I hadn't been before. He literally just looked at me. OK. So I got a spicy fried chicken taco n a breakfast taco. They are small so got some chips n queso. Chips n queso saved my cinco de mayo day. I asked the guy that waited on me if the chips n queso would come out first. Oh yes it will. Great. I wanted to snack first before the tacos. No he personally came n brought all of it out at one time. Whatever. Queso is pretty damn good. Its a stand out. The spicy chicken taco tasted like someone just poured hot sauce on top of the fajita chicken in there. I requested flour tortilla n paid for it. Got corn. The cheap margarita was just that. Cheap. U can def taste the tequila but I can't drink El Toro tequila like that anymore. When asked what tequila was in the good stuff margarita I don't believe I recognized the name. I got the cheap one. One n done. At this point I tracked someone down for a box for the breakfast taco cause I'm done with these kids bumping into my stool as they run by. Felt like Chuck E Cheese. A kiosk would provide friendlier service. That breakfast taco still in my car. You can have it

Stopped by mid-afternoon for some takeout. Chose a fried chicken taco and the toasted pork salad bowl.,Taco with the fresh chicken and pico was untraditional and delicious.,The contents of a roasted pork taco on top of a nice selection of salad greens (not iceberg) was very satisfying. Three salsa options added a perfect touch. The space is airy and open and reminiscent of the tacquerias in Mexico with a very inviting bar area.

I've eaten a lot of tacos in my time. But some bites have a way of humbling you. This one did. I ordered the street tacos with barbacoa. Corn tortillas layered with melted cheese, another tortilla laid gently on top, then crowned with rich, slow-cooked meat. Simple ingredients, intentional hands. The first bite landed heavy -- comforting, soulful, and loud in all the right ways. These tacos slapped harder than Babe Ruth sending one out of the park. And the real kicker? The smile on her face as she watched me take that first bite -- the kind that says, "I told you so," without needing to say a word. She knew she was right. The service matched the food -- warm, polite, unhurried. That small-town kind of kindness where you're treated like you belong, even if it's your first time through the door. No rush, no attitude, just genuine care. Some places feed you. Others stay with you. Taqueria Temo does both. I'll be back.

A slight oversight. No biggie. The chips and salsa were good. Salsa is puréed and tasty. A bit of a kick but not over powering. The chips are on the "thicker" side. Preference for the lighter crispier chips though. I've been wanting to try this place for a long, long time. We literally eat at the Indian rest, Namaste Grill and bar next door and it's the best of the best. When I saw the TikTok reviews I knew I recognized the restaurant and couldn't wait to try it. I inquired about Taco Durangos. And she seemed confused but showed me that they did have "fried crunchy tacos" and directed me to the picture on the front. I asked if I could get one chicken, beef and Pork. She's said NO that they were only available in Beef and Lamb....uggggh. I ordered one with just beef to try it. It's a birria taco...it was good. I like the crispiness of it but normally not a fan of the dipping sauce served with the taco. That was the case here. Not a fan. The little service red sauce also lacked flavor...it was HOT. What's standing out the most is the salsa's, green verde sauce included all lacked flavor. Disappointing. The quesadillas were outstanding! Filling and flavorful. My street tacos were underwhelming. The corn tortillas were gummy and lacked flavor in general. Same with the beans and rice. $43.00

They're your typical trendy taco place, with their own selection of merchandise and crazy/cheesy jokes strewn about on t-shirts and signage. They have an ample bar space, but it looked like only one patron was interested in that; the rest of us were there to eat. You order your food at the counter and get a buzzer to come back and pick it up. The staff is friendly enough, but you don't really interact with them much since it's all pretty much self service after you go to the counter. The drink station has cane sugar based sodas; it's a bit heavy on the foam, but otherwise good. We opted for the birria pizza, a couple of cups of pozole, and a side of elote. Everything was solid. The elote was good, not great, but the pozole really hit the spot given how cold it was outside. The birria pizza is what blew me away, though. This was easily one of the most unique, but tasty, things I've ever had. It's not really a pizza, more like a topped quesadilla, but they did a great job of it. I'd not only come back here next time I'm in Fort Worth, I'd be interested in opening a location in Houston if I had the money to franchise it.
