I wish I had taken pictures! Came here for a birthday lunch a few weeks ago. As a dog lover I really appreciate the decor since there are a ton of funny dog pictures all over the restaurant! My favorite dish is hands down the veggie enchilada but that being said the Chicka boom boom burrito is phenomenal because of the boom sauce. The Chicka boom boom is very heavy and large so I prefer getting the enchiladas since I can actually finish a majority of it. They have a ton of sauces to choose from if you want extra on the side and my recommendations would be to get the jalapeño ranch with your tortilla chips salsa and the boom boom sauce on whatever entrée you ge tcan never finish the Chicka boom boom so the veggie enchilada so Definitely request the boom boom sauce on whatever you get because that is it total game changer. read more

Actually, 3.5 stars. My friends and I loved the frozen margs. I got the swirl- which I believe is strawberry and lime mixed together. The other margs we had were traditional lime and the limited time blackberry. Seriously good across the board. Chicken/beef fajitas were wonderful! I didn't try the quesadilla we ordered, but we really loved sharing chips with queso, creamy jalapeño dip, and salsa. Those fajitas were BOMB! I just wish the service had been better. My friends have been trying to get me to go here for awhile now. I've heard great things. So for dinner we were able to try it out. We were there during happy hour. They have specials on margaritas and the queso, chips, salsa, beans and meat are free from 4pm-7pm. Our server was great. He let us sample the margarita to make sure we were going to like it. I ordered the chuychanga. It was huge and so filling. You can choose the kind of sauce you want on any of your entrees. They have a list of them from mild to hot. Overall, Chuy's is decent Mexican food for a decent price. I'd give the quality 3.5 stars, but I'm rounding up to 4 stars because of the quantity - I can eat a lot, and I was very full after my meal. You start off by receiving thin chips with traditional salsa and some sort of jalapeno ranch dip; I wasn't a fan of the dip, but my girlfriend liked it. The salsa tasted great, but was a little more liquid than I prefer. For the main course, I ordered the Chicken Fajitas. Much to my delight, when I asked for no sour cream, our waitress offered to swap it out for an extra scoop of guacamole! We dined Wednesday 8/18/2021 6:45ish : Ample parking, although the lot layout is weird. They don't take reservations but offer a waitlist. We were seated quickly after a quoted 30min wait. The restaurant is so unique and eclectically decorated. Gives off a energizing vibe. We were greeted quickly by our server which we really appreciated. The chips + salsa + dip was IMO ok- the salsa was pretty acidic but also spicy-hot so I didnt go back for seconds (my husband enjoyed it though.) I didn't know what the other dip was, it might have been ranch for another table? It tasted like ranch dressing. We all ordered cocktails, I had a Rum drink that was DELISH! Balanced, not too sweet. I think it was the King something. Husband had 2 margaritas & mom had something resembling a Shirley temple. The cocktails were 5 stars! We started with the Queso that was a soupy, I had the Steak Fajita which came with lots of toppings on the side, My husband had a burrito, My mom had the chickenchanga - we all thoroughly enjoyed our dinners. 5 stars! Its not an overall 5 star because we didn't receive side plates with our queso & since it was so soupy it dripped all over the the table. But this is an easy fix- PLEASE drop off side plates with the chips & dips. The guests will appreciate it! We were asked to order our dinner before our queso came out so we felt a little rushed. (Not sure if these are official names but you get the idea) The hub room was artistically decorated in old cars and old hub caps overhead. The music heard throughout the restaurant was contemporary and it made me happy or maybe it was the freshly squeezed lime juice and tequila in my margarita. The chips and salsa come right to your table. Beware, grab a drink before you eat it, especially if spicy is not your thing. My husband and I love spicy so this was even kicked up for us. Our fabulous server Joey brought us a creamy jalapeño sauce that was delicious. Omg, ranch fans round up! Met family here the other day- it was an easy place to meet, and everyone liked Mexican food. It worked great for that- the service was outstanding for our big party with several kids. The food is decent Tex-Mex. Authentic Mexican? No. Pretty good, and reasonably priced? Yes. It's the usual tacos, burritos, etc., with rice and beans. There are a few unusual things on the menu, but most are the standards. I had the daily special, a deep-fried avocado. Maybe a little weird, but good: fresh avocado, shredded chicken, with a thin panko coating. Sided with okay rice and beans. Good, not great. They are proud of their sauces, but I was unimpressed. The salsa at the table was thin and watery, but tasted fine, and had a fair amount of heat. The jalapeno ranch is, as others said, pretty much just ranch. It's a good ranch, but didn't work well with the chips, at least to me. I upgraded to "boom boom" sauce with my entree, and it was a thin cheesy sauce with a little heat and some veggies. Meh, I'd pass. Sweetie and I shared tres leches cake, a huge, moist, super sweet hit. I'd go back for a similar event, but probably not on my own. I've heard about this place and finally stopped in. What I first liked was the decorations at the bar. Different, weird and colorful. They have 2 complimentary dips for chip dipping..salsa and a white jalepeno dip. Our first basket of chips was super stale but got them quickly replaced. Typical Mexican joint that offers the usual burritos, tacos, enchiladas combos, fajitas. I got the combo where you could taste everything. I wasn't super wowed at all as most Mexican places taste the same. I still think el vaquero is the best. Didn't care for the enchilada red sauce. I could eat the chicken fajita big as your face burrito everyday lol, but I've noticed here lately that every time I order my food to go it's never good. I don't even know where to start with this review. I'm not a huge fan of Chuy's but it was my friend's birthday and he loves it so I had to come and support. Anyway, it's always busy here in the evenings. My friends and I were a group of 8. I got here around 5:15 and we waited maybe 15 minutes? Maybe it was shorter than that but it definitely didn't feel like a long wait. There were a ton of other groups waiting for a table too. Just busy, busy! It was a Sunday evening though. The guy came and asked for drink orders pretty quickly. He did a good job of giving refills too. Pretty attentive. I ordered the taco salad which they brought out after everyone else. I think they must've forgotten the order. Anyway, it came without the salad dressing...they were busy so I get it. I kinda didn't care as the salad tasted pretty mediocre. It tasted fresh though. The chicken was charred...maybe a little too much. The waiter checked up and asked if they brought out the dressing and then brought some out. How nice! Though at that point, a two star rating was all I had in mind. Chips are pretty thin. Sooo thin. Salsa is alright. The ranch sauce is good but nothing spectacular for me to come back and get. Overall, eh. I'm not coming ever again. It's not the best. I think the prices are bang for your buck. I was full and couldn't finish my food. But save your money. Fun atmosphere, good food! Growing up, we used to eat at Chi-Chi's at Westland mall all the time. I LOVED the enchiladas there, and nothing ever really compared (yes, the more authentic variants around town are still very good, but they're not the same) until I visited Chuy's. Their enchiladas taste like my childhood and I love it. I love the chips, that ranch sauce they have, I love the fun interior, and I especially love those Tex-mex enchiladas. The service has always been friendly and fast. The prices are great, the kids meal options please both of my picky eaters. If I were basing my rating on today's experience alone, it'd probably be a 3 star. Our server dropped off the check right when the food came out, and after he dropped off a copy for me to sign and a box for leftovers I think we ceased to exist at the time. I was letting my son finish his fries, and I wanted to get him a refill on milk. It took several minutes for anyone to walk by, and without a glance in our direction before they scurried off in the other direction. I've only been here for lunch - and it's been good. I mean, it's not the "best" tex-mex I've ever had, but it's good for those lunch cravings when taco bell isn't quite enough and condado seems out of your price range (or you have ten people doing lunch together). My sister and I took the kiddos to lunch on a sunny Saturday and Chuy's was the winning spot. My sister said their salsa is her favorite and it was close by, can't argue with that! And by comfortable, I mean we sat in the sun for 15 minutes before our server even brought over water. Yes, he acknowledged us and said he would be over but goodness. I'm hoping he was new and still figuring things out because the entire experience was really slow. Other than that, our lunch was great. The kids enjoyed cheeseburgers and quesadillas and the adults all got tacos. I went with the Baja tacos and got one shrimp and one fish with a side of green chile rice and refried beans (not cooked with meat, woohoo!). I had been a little under the weather and my eyes were bigger than my appetite, but the rice was great and I loved how crunchy the shrimp/fish was. I was also impressed with the freshly made tortillas. I immediately noticed that they had to have been made in-house. It was a huge plate of food and I wish I could have eaten it all. The kids devoured their grub and my sis enjoyed hers as well. Overall, the thing that stood out to me most was how great this place was for kids. The only reason we drove out here was because we were reminiscing over the first time we hit this spot up but we've satisfied our Jones for this place and won't ever be back because think of all the middle of the road Mexican places we passed on the way just to come here under the false assumption that the experience would be the same as our very first! Have been going to chuys every couple of months for a couple of years now. Online res: the interface is easy to use and tells you how long the wait will be. The frustrating part is that upon arrival, they add on time (we had a 45 min wait online + 20 min wait in person) which was not specified before arrival Food: ordered the 3 enchiladas which were... pretty empty and disappointing.
