Stopped into Chile Verde after over 19 years! Compared to the last visit, they're in a great new location - complete with outdoor patio seating! Same great food I remembered and apparently the same owner! The service was wonderful and it was a great experience!

We were regulars at the original location on Sawmill Rd but were too lazy to go to the Polaris location. We happened to be up there and stopped in for dinner. We quickly realized how much we missed the food here. It is definitely the best Mexican restaurant in town. The margaritas are delicious. Food portions are generous and chips are endless!!

We walked into Chili Verde in Polaris thinking it was going to be just another chain spot--but wow, were we wrong. This is a warm, welcoming Mexican restaurant with beautiful décor that instantly makes you feel at home. The bartender was amazing--super friendly and mixing up some of the best house-made margaritas in the city. Perfectly balanced, refreshing, and the kind of drink you come back for. If you're a fan of fresh-made, thin chips, this place will be your new go-to. The real standout for me was the green hatch chili crab cake--unique, flavorful, and unlike anything I've had at other Mexican restaurants. We went all in on the happy hour menu and honestly, every single dish was fantastic. As we sat at the bar, plate after plate of sizzling fajitas kept coming out, and you better believe that's on the list for next time. Chili Verde completely exceeded expectations, and we'll absolutely be back to keep exploring the menu.

UPDATE - We've been here dozens of times and it never disappoints. They have some new items on the menu and we had the New Mexican Big Bowl and it is BIG and amazing. It easily feeds two, maybe three! I brought a lot of it home. You build it yourself from a large number of options. We also ordered the New Mexico Classics tamale and you can customize it with sides. In our case we had a taco and the sweet corn and tots. Their side of tots is HUGE! Look at the picture!! And they were so good. Great service, good prices, parking is always good. Go there. I mean it.

Met up with family here, who love this place. We were in from out of town, and thought it was great too! Delicious salty chips, and their homemade apple salsa (changed every week, I believe), was really good. My skinny marg was yummy and the service was fast & friendly. Definitely a step up or two from a "typical" Mexican restaurant. The front patio area was cute too, with plenty of umbrella coverage from the sun. Part of the front window area actually opened up onto the patio.

Going in sequence, the chips and salsa were good. There was a typical red salsa with a little kick, but then there was a watermelon salsa that was the perfect, lighter, sweeter complement. The spicy mango margarita wasn't it for me. When I get margs, it's usually a house (lime) on the rocks with salt rim. I'll stick to my go-to next time. We were there for brunch and the sopai-pillows were nice. Light in weight and in taste on its own, but the accompanying cup of honey for dipping helps the replay value. I ordered my breakfast burrito with chorizo and green chile sauce, and I didn't regret forgoing the alternate choices of bacon and red chile. A solid dish. With everything else that I had, there was enough burrito for leftovers which I appreciated. My wife and I sat inside, and the open windows/doors leading to their patio created a nice ambiance, almost good enough to make you forget that you're surrounded by a suburban mall. I took a few bites of her Sandia Sopapilla. We agreed that the shredded beef was nice but the sopapilla (just like its aforementioned appetizer counterpart) didn't really add anything. I'd be open to trying this New Mexican themed chain for dinner, but I'm not exactly prioritizing the trip.

Hadn't been to Chile Verde in a very long while when I decided to venture there on a snowy January night, and I was glad I did. The place is warm and welcoming (the host seemed to know many people personally, this place clearly has its loyal patrons--many families with children), but I was very glad I'd made reservations online, because it was also packed and there's almost no room to wait inside. Even in the packed restaurant, our booth table near the bar area had a nice intimate feel. Servers were all very friendly and prompt. The menu has great variety: some Mexican classics (enchiladas, chimichangas) and other entrees with a Southwestern flair (burgers etc). Prices are reasonable. I ordered the BBQ quesadilla; the Anasazi BBQ sauce was excellent and elevated what would otherwise have been a kind of basic quesadilla. My partner ordered the fish tacos; they were good, but slightly bland (we realized toward the end they seemed to have forgotten one of the promised sauces). The chile con queso was great, and the chips were perfectly crisp and salted (not too much, not too little). Nice casual night out.

Queso Salsa - A bowl of thick, creamy soup garnished with small pieces of bacon, diced tomatoes, and green herbs. The bowl is placed on a matching larger plate, with a napkin and spoon beside it. The setting appears to be in a restaurant or cafe with a dark tabletop.

First timer here! It did not disappoint. I have to say that spicy beef is no joke! I would add a business tip on that but Yelp is doing away with those. The rice was delicious, I would absolutely recommend. The service was great and appreciated the menu suggestions. The atmosphere was nice for a strip row restaurant and business block. Inside had a nice, respectful, Native American influence. I had the Spicy Beef Chimichanga, with queso salsa and chips. The regular salsa was really noteworthy too. Definitely a spot worth checking out!

Food portions are very large (next time I'm sharing!). Service was friendly and quick. Casual, clean, contemporary Mexican Sante Fe style food. Very nice patio seating.

First time back at Chili Verde in yearssss and now it's got me wondering why it's been so long... I was stoked to see that their menu hasn't changed too much and they've got the same classic flavors. We started with a bowl of queso which was delish, and the bowl is definitely a great size for 3-4 people we ended up taking our leftovers home. For entrees I ended up choosing the pick two combo with a stacked chicken enchilada and spicy ground beef taco, my husband got the taco salad. 10/10 no complaints, no notes. The portions were huge and the flavors were on point. I'm obsessed with their Anasazi barbecue, it's the perfect balance of spicy and sweet. Also their blanco marg with Ocho was delicious and refreshing. Do yourself a favor and sit on the patio, it's the perfect set up and feels private even though you're in a strip mall and the umbrellas provide the perfect amount of shade. Can't wait until our next visit to Chili Verde and I promise I won't be waiting as long!

    Huevos- delicious.

When my friend and I came in, it was late morning on a Saturday. Not busy yet but later on more folks that looked like college students came in. The menu doesn't explain much and the syrup and milk options are not on the back wall menu but by the ordering counter. Some syrups aren't available with hot drinks only iced. I tried the pistachio latte with oat milk while my friend tried the chai. As another Yelper said, the drinks are sweet and pretty milky. Not much espresso flavor. I'd come back to try the iced drinks though. They had a lot of fruity flavors. Otherwise, the space is nice. Lots of seating and comfortable couches. They had a little hanger thing by the couches to hang purses and hold long umbrellas. Even the bathrooms were clean and smelled good (they used plug-ins). And the staff were nice. Napkins weren't sitting out so I asked for some. Parking is easy. It shares the same parking lot as El Vaquero and Rusty Bucket. Probably a busy area in the evenings.

I ordered their chorizo breakfast burrito, my partner the buttermilk pancakes with eggs, and our friends also got a breakfast burrito and some sort of stuffed biscuits and gravy. I've never seen them inhale food so fast. Before we knew it our friends were finished. Those of us with the burritos were surprised at how much kick the chorizo had to it. Personally we found it great but it is something to be warned about if you dont like spice. My partner said the pancakes were adequate, but he's had bette. Not surprising as that was not their main focus. He still enjoyed them and cleaned the plate. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean. We never felt rushed the entire time we were there, and we were there for almost 2.5 hours! Overall it was a great choice for breakfast and I would go back.
