When we arrived, my wife asked the hostess if we could be seated in a booth. She said no, because it would "overload" her servers. Within minutes of us being seated, people were seated at two different booths near us. Service was very slow and inefficient. Water arrived slowly, as did chips. He said he would bring salsa "when more is made" because they were out. Within minutes, servers at other tables delivered salsa to those diners. After we waited a while, my wife flagged down the hostess and asked if we could get some salsa, and she grabbed it and set it on our table within 30 seconds of the request. Drinks arrived slowly, as did food. A positive is that the food was hot when it arrived, not cold. Food was okay at best. We don't live in Ohio, and we're just visiting. The place is unique and has a festive party vibe. There is a great outdoor area to eat. The decor is fun and bizarre at times; each room features some different and unique decor. The staff greats you enthusiastically! Our server Carly is a gem! She kept bringing us chips and salsa and the very delicious jalapeño cilantro sauce. When my son tried the spicy steak burrito as it turned out a little spicy for him. She offered him a different meal. The staff really displayed excellent service to the guests as well as each other. One of the busboys dropped a bucket of dirty dishes; about 8 staff come over and helped clean up the mess. It took a total of about 5 minutes. Although I will say that their jalapeño ranch dip is VERY good! But other than that, most of their food lacks flavor and is expensive. I love this place so much! Today is the first time that I ever came by myself. There are benefits to coming here by oneself and saddle up to the bar. One can really concentrate on food, drinks, atmosphere and really relax without any distractions. This time I came by myself to visit my parents so I turned into a mini personal vacay. Kristi the bartender is amazing. She's very sweet, prompt and does t rush you. She made my whole visit here enjoyable. I truly enjoyed the mini beef burrito with ranchero sauce. it came with side of rice. Just tasty and perfect size for lunch. Since it was close to my birthday along with Cinco De Mayo, I decided to partake with a small 10 oz lime frozen Margarita. Perfectly prepared with just the right about of alcohol and lime flavors. My visit to this restaurant was very nice as I got invited to participate in a Yelpers Tasting event. Must say that I met with very amazing people and look forward to seeing them again! In order to give a "true rating", I will need to visit again during my own time. In the meantime, I gave them a 5 star. Truly appreciate the invitation, the hard work from our host and the staff at Chuy's. The presentation of the main course or "signature dishes" was very appealing and tasty. Their chips are home made and they offer a variety of salsa. I also ordered the Mango Frozen Margarita which tasted delicious. Next time I'll reorder the same and ask for a shot to make it stronger! Tex-mex is my jam and Chuy's does a pretty decent job of nailing the right flavors. We ended up visiting on a Friday around 6, for a group of 7 the wait wasn't too bad. We sat at a small table in the back that was kind of a tight squeeze but we made it work. Service was friendly but nothing special, we had to keep asking for things like water and chip refills. After we ordered the food came pretty quick and it was nice and hot. I went with ground beef enchiladas topped with boom boom sauce and Mexican rice. The flavor was delicious but the enchiladas were mostly tortilla and sauce, there was barely any ground beef at all. The rice was really good and hit the spot. I really love their chips, they're thin and cripsy and pair perfectly with their salsa and creamy jalapeño sauce. Overall we had a nice experience. read more

I usually sit at the bar. The people are helpful, and attentive when they are there. I like the music and the $2 off the very delicious, yet expensive, jumbo margaritas, ($9) from 3P-6P, during happy hour. The salsa is the best! We went to Chuy's on a Sunday around 6pm and got seated outside no problem. The restaurant looks like the inside of a hoarders house but in a good way. Lots of bright and colorful decor covers the walls and ceiling. Definitely an experience just walking through it on our way to the patio. Our waitress, Madelyn was excellent. She was over every few minutes to see if we needed any more water / chips & salsa / if everything was okay. I'm kind of terrible about "spice" so the salsa and the jalapeño dip that everyone raves about were a bit to hot for me but definitely tasty. If the jalapeño dip had been less hot i probably could have drank it... just saying. Moving on. I ordered the baja shrimp tacos. They were nothing to write home about. The shrimp was COATED in breading.. too much to eat, like, I physically could not put the taco in my mouth, but the taste was good. In addition to the tacos i got their rice and charros beans, again neither really thrilling but not bad by any means. My boyfriend ordered the comida deluxe and just raved about it. It came with a taco and rice and beans and enchiladas and a whole other mess of stuff. The one thing I will say for their food is that the price is great for the quantity provided. Yes the burrito was huge. Yes the queso was warm and gooey. The chips were thin, warm and crisp. Yes the chicken quesadilla was an interesting take on a classic. Yes the restaurant was impeccably clean on guest surfaces. My problem with Chuy's is always the overhead decor. Try not to wonder if the dust from the lights and hubcaps overhead might somehow find their way to your food. The description seemed weird at first so I asked the waiter about it. He was very helpful and made me feel good about my decision to order the special. Just stopped in for a birthday lunch. After waiting over a half hour (was told it was going to be 20 minutes) we see people getting seated ahead of us that certainly came in after us. The pager would randomly blink, so the hostess was asked if it was being paged. Was told it wasn't a page unless it was vibrating. The happy hour special is a margarita for $5. It wasn't the strongest or tastiest, but it was cheap for Easton. The food is the part of the menu you can avoid. It had all the common stuff like burritos and enchiladas. There was literally nothing exciting about it. It wasn't any better than El Vaquero, and this was a little more expensive. When I asked to be seated farther away at an available booth the young lady was clearly disturbed and as I went back to ask to be seated there her "supervisor" he was even worse. He at first said we could have the booth, then changed course and directed us to an available high top (also fine) and said he didn't want us waiting around him too long. I had one of their best sellers, Comida Deluxe has cheese Tex-Mex enchiladas, chicken flauntas, a ground sirloin crispy taco (soft corn tortilla), guacamole, and tostada chips dipped in Chile con Queso with refried beans and green chile rice with Coca-Cola Zero Sugar. I am not a fan of guacamole, but it was delicious. Green Chile Rice was spicy and yummy. The dish helped clear my sinuses with the spices. I will have that again when I go back to Chuy's. I went on a Tuesday night expecting it to be busy for taco Tuesday. Unfortunately they don't have any specials for that except their normal happy hour (sad) and it wasn't very busy so we got sat immediately. I got the Baja Shrimp Tacos and Wild Berry Mexican Mule with rum instead of tequila. The food came with two tacos (typically three at other restaurants) but was still yummy and filling. We were greeted at the door and quickly escorted to the hub room. Let me explain, they have 3 separate parts of the dining area, the hub room, the art room and the palm tree room. (Not sure if these are official names but you get the idea) The hub room was artistically decorated in old cars and old hub caps overhead. The music heard throughout the restaurant was contemporary and it made me happy or maybe it was the freshly squeezed lime juice and tequila in my margarita. The chips and salsa come right to your table. Beware, grab a drink before you eat it, especially if spicy is not your thing. My husband and I love spicy so this was even kicked up for us. Our fabulous server Joey brought us a creamy jalapeño sauce that was delicious. Omg, ranch fans round up! I ordered the flautas, hand rolled corn tortillas stuffed with shredded chicken topped with a chipotle sauce. Charro beans and rice along with guac and sour cream came along with the flautas.
