Poor waiting times, restaurant is *empty* and nobody seating people, told us for a party of 2 it would be "30-40 minutes."

Every time we visit Chuy's, we are NEVER disappointed! This Fairfield Commons location was just as good as the Easton one: super clean interior, friendly and quick staff, and amazing Tex Mex food served in portions large enough to feed an army...my kind of restaurant! At this location my husband had the stacked enchiladas with a crunchy beef taco added on the side. He loved everything, but the taco blew him away so much that now that's all he'll order. I had a fajita chicken burrito full of refried beans and amazing marinated slices of chicken breast, topped with boom boom sauce (a slightly spicy cheddar cheese sauce). Sooooo good! Chuy's fajita meat and sauces are far superior to any other Tex Mex or chain Mexican restaurant I've ever tried, and the fact that they make all of the warm, perfectly chewy tortillas right in house makes this place even better. The thin, warm tortilla chips they serve as you sit down are perfectly salted and work great with the free salsa, but when you ask for a side of the creamy jalapeño dip (basically a jalapeño ranch) and an order of the queso cheese you'll be in Heaven! I could make a meal on these chips and dips alone, but their meals are so amazing that I usually end up eating way too much of everything and leaving full and beyond satisfied -- exactly how I want to leave a restaurant! Overall, Chuy's is a terrific chain restaurant to visit when you're looking for fast, amazing Tex Mex meals guaranteed to fill you up and leave a smile on your face. Yummo!!! read more

Food is classic tex mex. Nothing to special. I used to get the steak burrito however recently tried the appetizer quesadilla and it was the best I've ever had. (Not a typical quesadilla they serve them almost like tacos.) The main reason I frequent here is the happy hour margaritas are on point and you get the open nacho bar untill 7 also. Holy guacamole. I've never heard of Chuy's until I came here for a work lunch. First off, the ranchero sauce and creamy jalapeño sauce are the best things to ever go in my mouth. They are SO delicious I want to put them on EVERYTHING. I ordered cheese enchiladas and, I mean, they're cheese enchiladas. However, the tortillas they were wrapped in were so dry and tough to cut through that it made it difficult to eat. Also, the chips were super thin which made it a bit difficult to dip. As a vegetarian and a lover of spicy stuff, I was so sad to see that the spiciest sauces on their sauce list contained meat products. I'd love to see vegetarian-friendly spicy sauces available. Despite the issues, I'd come back, and I hope to have a better experience next time! read more

The service here was poor and the food was okay. The atmosphere was family friendly but nothing about it felt special, definitely a chain restaurant feel. There is a nacho bar that is free from 4pm-7pm which is nice and was good because it was free and made the experience better but not sure that it makes it worth a repeat visit. read more

Delicious food, about on par with Dona Margarotas (which rocks) in Yellow Springs, maybe even a little better, leagues ahead of Abuelos and Don Pablo's which aren't even in the same league for authenticity and flavor. The home made tortillas are divine, that and the delicious steak they use for their burritos put it firmly into my favorites list. The cocktails are good and strong, the wait staff seem on point - it seems pretty fast paced. Atmosphere is lively, decor is really cool and the seating far comfier than it looks. I'm pleased we gave it a try, it's a solid option and probably the best sit-down restaurant in the Fairfield commons area. We came on a weeknight and were seated in 5 minutes or so, I can imagine it's packed on a weekend and there's really no place to wait other than right by the door. read more

My favorite Southwestern restaurant in town. Not as authentic as if you are actually there, but more so than any other chain around. Queso is great. Chips and tortillas made in front of you. We went to celebrate my moms birthday. The one thing that really bothers me with Chuys is that the wait time is always extremely long. I got there and hour and half before we all had to meet up there so that our wait time wouldn't be so long and we still ended up waiting 30 minutes after the hour and half I was already waiting on. Haters will hate on Chuy's, but at the end of the day, they have great chips and salsa, killer Bloody Mary's, and decent margaritas. Servings are ample and generous, service is generally quite friendly, and they have fried fish tacos that are some of the best in the Dayton area-- not the best anywhere, but pretty good for Ohio. Head to San Diego if you want authentic, kick in the seat of your pants, honest to goodness Mexican cuisine. Chuy's is a chain, but in the relatively short lived life of sit-down, large group, party atmosphere Mexican restaurants (remember Chi Chi's in the late 1980's), it's got relatively strong legs to stick around for awhile. This area seems to chew up and spit out chain restaurants (Don Pablo's, T.G.I. Friday's), so who knows how long Chuy's will last? Hopefully for awhile, because it is fun for a big group! read more

My first time going to Chuys I wasn't really sure what to expect. The restaurant had a very strange layout and seemed almost to be like a maze. The food itself was average. It wasn't very tasteful and had tons of seasoning and spice to overcompensate. The food was just too zesty even the beans and rice had some type of strange zest. However, the service was amazing. The girl that took care of me checked in multiple times to ensure that I was having a pleasurable experience. Overall I don't think I'll be back as the food was average. Their chips and salsa appetizer was basically a bowl of diced onions with a minimal amount of tomato, jalapeño and cilantro. Our server was busy managing too many tables. She would blow through and regularly interrupted the table conversations. I tasted a burrito, a chili relano and a beef fajita. All were bland and unspectacular. I was celebrating Inauguration Day and thought I would order carry out from Chuy's since I was nearby. Their fajitas are my favorite but today was a bad day- beef was fatty and chicken had obviously been reheated- dried out and appeared to be left over from yesterday or lunch. Flour tortillas had also obviously been reheated and the ends were dry. I don't eat the retried beans or rice but they were both cold. So I hate to complain but this was not a good experience at all. First of all, I walked in to asked if we had to make reservations or if we could sit down, and the girl gave me attitude and looked at me like I had three heads. Then our server was also rude to us the whole time until she realized that she was going to get a tip. Our food came out within two minutes after placing our order, and it was a lot of food. It did not taste good and the meat was raw. I also felt sick after eating it for the rest of the night. read more

Chuy's ...what can I say? When you first opened we loved your food and atmosphere. But in the last several visits, you have fallen down ... hard. We entered the restaurant and there was a clearly untrained girl taking people to seats and leaving the others waiting and staring at one another. A manager (at least he appeared to be a manager) would walk in ... not acknowledging the customers staring at him... then walk back out. The girl then returned and sat more people. Manager finally came back in and said people were free to sit in bar area since there were open seats "just pick an open table!" So we picked our table and waited ... and waited ... and waited until a clearly overwhelmed server showed up .. we gave our drink order to her and waited ... and waited .. and waited - got drinks - finished drinks - needed more drinks - then she came back for our order... then we waited again. Honestly, the food was OK - not great and not as good as it was in the past. It seems like they need to train the management before they go the route of Don Pablo's! They won't be here long unless this improves. PS $5 for a bottle of pacifico is a bit steep! read more

My roommates and I traveled to Chuy's on a crisp and cool Sunday Spring evening. I never really understood the whole concept of "Tex-Mex" and honestly still don't, but either way I enjoyed my time here. The chips are a delightful thin crunch that everyone should endure. They are perfectly complimented by a creamy jalapeño sauce and chunky, yet fresh rojo salsa. I also enjoyed my steak burrito, which was smothered in "boom boom" sauce. Man did it bring the boom. I literally have nothing bad to say about this place! It was a very busy Saturday during lunch, we only had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. Our server Chelsea was great and made several menu suggestions, which we chose to go with and boy are we glad we did! We ordered the steak burrito with queso over it instead of the regular sauce that came with it and it was amazing! Probably one of the best Mexican dishes I've had in a long time! New to town and craving Mexican when we just happened upon Chuy's. I wasn't familiar with the restaurant but it will be my new go-to place for Mexican. The restaurant has a very relaxed environment while still being organized and clean. While waiting on our food, our waiter Thomas brought us their complimentary salsa, chips, and white dip (which I loved) and also gave us a complimentary sample of queso when he found out we had just moved into town and it was our first trip to Chuy's. My husband ordered the Boom Boom Burrito and my daughter and I ordered the Elvis special. Everything was delicious but I especially liked the sauce on the green enchilada. Huge portions for $10! Could have easily fed two off my selection. I really wanted to find a manager at the end of my meal to tell him what wonderful service Thomas provided. Attentive, fast, social, and informative. What a star employee. My family will definitely be back and we are thrilled that day one at our new base we found a family favorite. read more

I had the daily special which was a chicken and spinach enchilada. The dish had good flavor but the tortillas were a bit dry. For being a chain I have to say this place is pretty great. I am more a mom and pop kinda girl and try to avoid chains but to be honest this is the best Mexican place in Beavercreek. I chose Chuy's for our date night this week and I must say it was just "aight". I wasn't impressed with the Creamy Jalapeño sauce wasn't what I really remembered. I felt like service was good but the environment was weird. I just love this place. I eat here probably too often. The food is always delicious and fresh. I've never gotten cold food. Only one time did I have a problem. The cook left toothpicks in my steak fajitas; which could have been bad. The removed it from the bill no questions asked and the manager came out and apologized and offered up a free meal to replace it. The drinks are always good. Plenty of free chips and salsa. And that creamy jalapeño dip is AMAZING. The Elvis Presley platter is great for a first timer because you get a little of everything to try. In the evenings they have the nacho bar open.
