The winery looks nice the inn is a little small the wine bar is also on the small side. Wine tasting cost $10 a regular wine glass and choice of 5 wines or $12 for a wine glass with the winery's logo. They offer red, whites, sweet wine, champagne and dessert wine. I love their chocolate bliss which is port with chocolate it is delicious. The service was okay nothing exemptions since the bar is small there is one or two people serving you. There are plenty of souvenir type of products to look at. Mostly wine oriented stuff like bottle opener, bottle sleeves, some tacky plastic wine glass. I was very excited to visit this place because the structure of the building which is the first thing that always calls my attention and because of the nice reviews posted on yelp. Unfortunately my excitement end once i got there. Yes, the building is gorgeous. The ceiling inside was beautiful and everything was so nice and clean. A very classy look. For the tasting you have to take the stairs down. The tasty room is nicely decorated. There was only 2 couple and ourselves. I was expecting more people to be honest but we thought it was better that way to enjoy the bartender full attention lol. So there's no tour around the winery neither the property. They basically give you a paper with 5 stickers which they take one out every time you try a wine. They give you the menu and you start choosing and drinking hehe. Surprisingly there's only 3-4 wines they actually produce themselves, the rest of the wines are imported. That's a little bit disappointed to me because I love testing wine produced in the winery. I don't know, it mentally tastes better to me (just personal opinion) so we tried the ones produced here and unfortunately I did not like it. The flavor was very earthy and the after taste was too strong for my tongue. But there's one imported i did like and we bought that one. The bartenders were friendly but there was no explanation or story behind each wine. It literally was "pick the wine of your choice and drink it" that was boring for me, sorry. Had two wine tasting here. One using a 2 for 1 coupon (or 50% for inn guest) costing $6 per person for 5 tastings. The staff was friendly and nice at recommending wines to try and wines that might not suit your palate. You can also purchase cheese and boxes of crackers to pair with your wine. What was even greater was the hour wine tasting for inn guest that was FREE! It included a predetermined menu (which you can see to avoid doubling up if you do a paid tasting). This tasting is more relaxed and we were able to taste the entire list (~ 7-9 options) within the hour. It was really great! We purchased 2 bottles. They mischarged us for 3 and rang us up again for 2. However, they forgot to take off the 20% discount given to inn guest. I called the next day and the Inn staff (Ened and Doreen) were really great at helping to give us our discount. I really appreciated their customer service. The peach sparkling wine is yummy -- warning: it is sweet! But it is good if you like sweet sparkling wines. The cuvee was also pretty good. I enjoyed my wines here & if you arrive between 10-2pm on a Sunday it is $8 for 5 tastes. You can get an extra taste for following them on social media too. The Inn is cute but the tasting room room doesn't have the best ambiance. I was there for the wine & not the ambiance though so I didn't mind too much! I visited Churon for the first time. I'm just frustrated as I dont know what step to take. This happened today. Drove home and realized I left my sterling silver necklace behind. Drove back and called and my necklace was not found and to top it off the hotel manager was extremely RUDE !! I stayed here for the weekend to celebrate my anniversary and i must say this is a phenomenal bed & breakfast place to celebrate a romantic weekend. The rooms are beautiful with a jacuzzi bath tub, huge comfy bed, gas burning fireplace, and terrace. The breakfast in the morning is great (you can chose from eggs benedict, french toast, omelets, and eggs florentine) and there is free wine tasting down below for guests as well. They have sushi on Saturdays during the wine tasting. It basically has all the contents you need to have a great weekend with the one you love. I would definitely go back again. =) read more

I LEFT THIS PLACE IN TEARS!! STAY AWAY!!! My hubby and I planned to spend our 2 year anniversary here. We enjoyed the room and the accommodations but that is about it!!! We stayed both a Friday and a Saturday night. Friday was fine, we went to the free wine tasting, which was okay...The staff were okay and the wine...again simply okay. Not the best (We liked Ponte's reds)... Saturday was a complete DISASTER!!! After coming back early from wine tasting (we were not drunk and had only been to 1 tasting earlier in the day), I had a HUGE headache and was sick to my stomach (like seriously was vomiting). Well, when we came back we were greeted with a LOUD and horrible sounding sound check for the concert that was to take place there that evening from 5-10...Um...WTF!!??!?! A concert? I was never informed of a loud concert that was to be taking place outside of my balcony yards away. I couldn't sleep, was throwing up, and starting to have a bit of an anxiety attack (I think I was allergic to some of the wine I had). My husband went to try to get us checked out due to the LOUD and unexpected concert. He spoke with the front desk manager (Edie or Enid...) who informed him that "He knew about the concert" and that it "was going to be beautiful violin music." She told me husband there was nothing she could do...She informed us there were flyers posted all around the hotel and therefore, knew of the concert...This was utter B*^&*it!! We never knew about a concert until the morning of the concert when we saw a flyer with a guy playing a violin...We "assumed" it would be peaceful, like Andrea Botchelli... and it WAS not beautiful (It was ELECTRIC violin ROCK!!!! Antonio Ponterelli - You Tube it)...Also, even if we wanted to leave, we wouldn't have been able to as you need to give 72 hours cancellation notice...I should have been told upon booking of the concert and I would've gone elsewhere. I wanted a romantic, quiet weekend... I then called my mom asking if she could do anything since I was uh, indisposed and my husband had already tried with the manager...(We were referred to this place by a food and travel writer friend of my mom's)...The manager was extremely rude to my mom on the phone and told her to "look up the guy on the Internet" and that "she had to take other calls and had to hang up now." An hour later, Edie the bi&ch calls our room and tells us we can leave if we want with no charge...Well, I was finally asleep in between the sound check and rock concert and was not in any shape to be moving anywhere. My husband said he'd check with me and let her know. NOT ONCE did she offer to find us alternative accommodations, NOT ONCE did she apologize, IN FACT, she BLAMED US!!! I am still irate! I have never been treated that poorly in my life. I work for a hotel and we move people all the time to other hotels. It is a courtesy we perform to help people out and we are a LARGE hotel with over 400 rooms, not a 20 room b&b. My husband and I are not picky at all, we rarely complain, and keep to ourselves for the most part so you can imagine my utter shock when I was told upon check out (by the same smiling lady) that "I told you the music was nice (no, we didn't agree...why did she keep trying to convince us that we liked the music..?) and when my hubby stated no, we didn't enjoy and yes it was very disruptive, she replied "well, you had your chance to leave" (in a VERY rude tone!!)... I proceeded to storm downstairs to buy a bottle of wine. There was one customer and one saleswoman. The saleswoman was very kind to the customer but when it was our turn to pay, she left to go upstairs for "a minute" came back down and was a completely different person. I assume she went upstairs to gossip about us. She asked if we had stayed at the inn (in a very condescending and unbelieving tone, as if we were trashy and couldn't afford to stay there). I left feeling so angry and outraged, I was in tears. I have since tried calling to speak with the owner and have only been given her voice-mail. I am sending a letter but expect little compensation for the disaster of a weekend. My anniversary was pretty much ruined (Think about your anniversary...Do you want to romance one another to ELECTRIC VIOLIN ROCK???? He covered Jimi Hendrix...WTF??? Didn' t think so...) Don't waste your money on a place that treats it's customers like trash. We were there early thinking that check-in was @ 1pm or so but check-in was @ 3pm. I didn't mind so much since we didn't asked on the phone ... until she said that we were already warned about the 3pm check-in on the phone when we booked the room. Again It didn't really bother me that check-in was at 3pm ... not like we can't go somewhere to drink some wine and come back. The fact that she said that we were warned and we weren't ... it somewhat pissed me off. But again ... I'm kick back and was ready to move on. The lady up front continued the conversation and said that check-in everywhere else is @ 3pm or later at any hotel. This is where I felt like she was talking to us like we are not customers and that she's better than us. So we walked out to go look around for another place to stay. I wasn't happy after talking to this lady ... I wanted to cancel. 10 min. later ... we found another place with a 12pm check-in and called her to let her know that we like to cancel. She told us that she's the manager and that we can't cancel and to come back because she has our room ready. I found that funny ... the minute we find another place ... she got us our room. And she's the manager!!! How is this place in business with her being the manager. To avoid headaches and to not ruin our time away from home, we went back. Part of me said that at least she's making some effort to give us some customer service .... so we came back and decided to make the best of it again. Big mistake. We got our room key and were directed to park in the back so we can enter the door near our room. When we got there ... the door did not work. Walked back to the lady and she said that the door is broken and we have to go from the front. I went back to get our stuff when some nice gentleman who worked there opened the door for us from the inside with out her telling him. We walked up the stairs to the 2nd floor and that's when we smelled some kind of funky odor again. Smelled like armpit. The hallways are beat up and needs to be renovated if they want to charge what they do. We walked in our room and the room is nice. We were actually very happy with the room. Balcony with a good view. Fire place is nice. Bathroom is good size. Towel had a hole in it and are small. Overall good room and that's why I gave them one star. Later that day we did some wine tasting around town and came back for the one hour wine tasting. Wish we had more time but all good. Wine was okay. The next day we went in for the breakfast downstairs and was disappointed. Got one plate of Eggs Benedict each and it wasn't that great for me since it had too much lemon sauce or something like that. I didn't mind so much since I was hungry and I eat anything but I actually was thinking of not eating haha. My wife had a bite and that was enough for her. She hated it. I guess for the money we paid ... I was thinking they will have more food and better quality. When we check-out ... the lady knew we were unhappy. My wife didn't want to go in detail but since we just ate, my wife mentioned about the eggs benedict. The lady was so closed minded that she kept claiming that it's the best eggs benedict in town. This was the worst experience I have ever Had at a winery since I have lived here ( a total of 8 years. ) the hotel Manager has no respect for paying customers and there family. This could be a great place for families and there wine was good but I would never go back or recommend it to any of my friends because the employees who work there are rude. There was a group of 15 moms,including me, that came to the winery on a Wednesday afternoon 2 hours before closing, and we all bought bottles and glasses of wine and were treated with such disrespect from there hotel manager she one kicked us off the main patio and second she later came down as she was driving home and yelled at us and threatened to call the cops because we were bad mothers. Truly enjoyed this winery. The ceiling in the entry way was not what I had expected, given what I had read. I believe it is undergoing some remodeling right now. The view was nice, but not much opportunity to go outdoors once in the tasting room. The tasting room had a shop where you can buy some great t-shirts. The staff was great, very lively and generous with the wine. This place was more for the "let's get tipsy" crowd and although the staff was fun, I didn't learn as much as I had hoped about the wines. My favorites were the 2003 Carignane - a spicy Spanish wine. Also the 2003 Petite Syrah was wonderful, an easy to drink wine. I would definitely recommend this winery, maybe as your first stop. We left right before the sushi was served, but I know this is the only winery to have a sushi bar in Temecula, so if you're into sushi, come after 1:30pm and check it out. read more

The rooms are the best aspect of Churon, they are one of the best rooms I have sayed in. They come with a fire place, four post bed, large balcony, and a large whirlpool bath for 2. The decor was in need of updating and needed a lot of attention. For a place that costs $270 per night you don't expect the wallpaper to be hanging off and marks all over the walls in the corridors. The wine was our least favorite part, of all the 9 wineries we visited this was our least favorite. read more

This was our first trip to Temecula, and I'd done some groupon shopping for tastings. Our first stop, however, did not need at groupon since the early bird price was so reasonable - $8 each. The place is gorgeous! The lobby of the Inn is stunning with Parisian themes and a lovely fireplace. This leads to the stairway down to the tasting room. The assistants are helpful without being pushy, and we had some great wine. In fact, we bought 2 bottles of Zin to take on an upcoming trip to show off SoCal wines! It helped that it was a special of buy 1, get 1 50% off, but we'd have done it anyway. They did not push the club offer, but it looks rewarding so we're going to try it for a few months and check it out. Definitely recommend you go! read more

Called to take advantage of a Travelzoo deal. Was told they were booked for days we were looking at & only had only suites left at a much higher rate. Parking lot was more empty than full. Did we get up charged? At night one can see all the vacant rooms. So we're we mislead? Reading reviews & seeing photo's we decided to move forward with the higher rate as it looked like a nice place. Pictures can be deceiving. The suite is nice. However that's about it. It is an old building & maintenance is lacking somewhat & not as maintained as it probably once was. Strange things like why have a key card for exterior door to enter building when it doesn't lock/close all the way, several items looked unfinished, the dinning room tables weren't level level & the free breakfast lacked flavor, there's a door in room that's locked & it is not the adjourning room. You can't walk in without it sounding like your jumping up and down. Door to patio didn't close properly, isn't clean smudge marks on inside wood where handle is. The patio chairs stick to floor. The worst part are the walls are so thin you can literally hear the room next door turning the channels on the TV & their conversation. We had to turn on the fan all night to drown out the noise from adjoining room. Again the suite itself is nice if you overlook it is not a clean as it should be. The view from the suite is not as pictures in the photos. This is our view yet when you walk out to front it is in fact the photos show, not this & our understandings those aren't suites. We've paid close to $$$ & I'm am disappointed to say the least. My husband said nothing we can do as we've already paid & so might as well make the most of it. I would say the rooms are probably worth no more than $100 a night not $250 due to overall condition of Inn. Doubt I'd refer any friends here unless they were able to take advantage of one of the Groupon or travelzoo deals & just better bang for your buck. I visited the winery for a wedding. I was surprised how small the facilities were, though the wedding only had 80 or so attendees. The manmade fountains looked nice but they did not even seem to try to make them look like natural stone. The outdoor bar and other fountain were not well maintained at all. The walkway and xmas lights were beautiful at night though. Service was decent, not sure how it would be if there were more people around though. Dinner was good but..... not nearly enough food and the tri-tip was over cooked by the time it was served. Nothing really amazing about the food. nothing amazing about the winery.
