I've changed my original review of this Church's Chicken in Angleton. Back in the late '70s and early '80s, Church's was on another level--the food and service were 10 times better than what we see today. I had a pretty bad disagreement with this location not long ago, and it reminded me just how far the standards have slipped. About a year ago, things looked like they might turn around. A new management team seemed to improve service for a short while. But something changed again, and now it feels like the restaurant has fallen back below standards. To be fair, the employees here work hard and deal with a lot. The bigger issue seems to come from management and ownership, which affects everything else. Bottom line: Church's is still a staple in Angleton, but it's no longer the Church's I grew up with. read more

Church's has always been my favorite fried chicken. Next to my wife's of course. I recommend this restaurant.

Bought $40 worth of chicken and sides got home and one side was mash potatoes and gravy got a large side of gravy and no mash potatoes thank goodness for large cup of gravy had something to soak biscuits in to soften biscuits up a bit. read more

Would never recommend this place. Already filed an official complaint. 1 of several with different places I will submit. I went in after waiting in drive thru and the line not moving at all. I waited for almost 10 minutes at the counter without the woman with a piercing in her right cheek ever acknowledging me or even at least saying someone would be with me or anything. Finally I asked her if someone could wait in me since I'd waited in the drive thru for almost 10 mins before coming inside. There was only 1 car ahead of me at the drive thru the whole time. She completely ignored me without any response then walked around the back of the cooked chicken and one of the workers said something to her and as she came back around she said that I was being a bitch. I never was rude or anything to her. She just made an unprofessional and rude and disrespectful comment and didn't think I would hear her. Then she came to the counter and said"can I help you?" I told her I'd heard her say I was being a bitch and she just asked again could she help me. I left. What's worse is I know how hard it is to find good workers but employers are settling for people who are desperate for work and don't have proper screenings or work ethics and what's even worse is these type of workers are a really bad example for young people getting their first job or someone who really wants to learn and cares about good customer service. read more

Was craving for Church's Chicken and was in the area so I decided to stop by.The chicken was ok (used to be better at this location) but the customer service was nonexistent. The girl that waited on me had no manners and barely looked at me when she took my order.Seems like she had a " pissed" look on her face the whole time I was there.I mean if you feel like that don't show up for work!!!!! read more

We pulled in to place an order at the window and noticed no one was wearing masks or gloves when preparing customer's orders. The one employee scooping the sides was hanging over them and talking. Horrible service. When we arrived at the drive thru portion of the Angleton Churches Chicken, there was no sign informing us that the speaker didn't work. And once we finally found out that you ordered at the window, the employee who took our order was extremely rude and very incompetent. We also noticed that there was a sign that said 90 second Service, yet we waited for about 10 minutes to get our food. Once we finally got home with our food, it wasn't horrible,but we noticed that we asked for a three piece chicken mix, but all we got was three drumsticks. We also ordered a chicken sandwich which was surprisingly small for the price we paid. Plus, the biscuit that came with the chicken mix was very small and hard. Not at all tasty! Overall, I am extremely unimpressed with every aspect of churches chicken and will NOT EVER be going back. read more
