I wrote a negative review three years ago during the pandemic shutdowns. We decided to give them another chance now that things are back to normal in the country. Big mistake. I ordered a hamburger with all the toppings (lettuce, tomato and onions). The meat tasted very odd. Not spoiled. Just strange and mildly unpleasant. I tried to eat it but I could not finish it. The craft bar side is fun but keep in mind, if you'd just like to have a brand name drink like a Miller Lite, forget it. On the other hand the beer servers and fun and enthusiastic. if you tell them what beer that you normally drink, they will suggest a similar craft beer along with a free taste. Stopped here for dinner. About the halfway point for our drive from San Antonio. We had the bacon cheeseburger with a side of Thai chili brussel sprouts and the raspberry chicken salad. The cheeseburger was a 1/2 lb patty, with large pieces of tomato onion and lettuce and an ample amount of applewood smoked bacon. The Brussels sprouts were so amazing I could have eaten only them. They had the right amount of heat and sweet and were crispy. The raspberry chicken salad came with the dressing on the side so we could add just as much as we wanted. It had quite a bit of chicken pecans and craisins. Can't wait for my next trip down to Salado to eat here again. We also tried the orange cream Boots soda. Having a family with small children, we appreciated the casual laid back family friendly atmosphere. With that being said, we felt that the price was a little unreasonable. We arrived and had to wait. Only one person ahead of us. When hostess finally came to take. Our order I asked if the wings(Korean BBQ) were spicy. She said no, not at all. My husband tried them and agreed they were very spicy. I have a stomach disorder that prevents me from eating spicy foods. My husband took them to the front and told the same waitress how hot they were. She said, "I'm so sorry"!! No refund, no free dessert no nothing. By the time I got up there they had been thrown out. It is always busy and we heard that the food was really good so on a date night we decided to try it, we were very happy with the food we started with the chips and queso although the presentation was very dismal the queso and the chips were really good our food came out in a reasonable amount of time I got the Cheese Steak it was very good I also got the Thai chili Brussel spouts and they were amazing my wife got the cheese burger it was good their fries were seasoned well and were very fresh All an all it was a great experience the wait staff was friendly. read more

Texas has a lot of great food, so no reason to make a special trip. A big no. I regret eating here without checking reviews. We ordered a plain ole hamburger, all the way and a fish/fries. The fries were the only thing edible, and they were just average. The hamburger had no seasoning. They don't give you mustard, mayo or ketchup, but they do provide a blended sauce that tasted like mayo/ketchup & garlic, presumably. I could only manage a few bites and gave up hoping it would taste better. I was hungry so... My partner's fish was mushy. Batter was okay but the fish was either old frozen fish or undercooked. We couldn't figure out which. We ate on the bar side and I guess all dogs are welcome in the eating area because there were 2 VERY LARGE dogs near us. One was a big hairy white dog and the other a hairy black dog. I just don't enjoy eating near hairy, shedding animals. Just gross. Will never go back. read more

When I first come in I waited about 5 minutes up front waiting to be helped I even say hello a few times... Nobody comes, I walk in the back and the two employees are just on their phones in the booth. They come help me with an attitude no apology just as if I was an inconvenience. I happened to get the patty melt well done my meat was medium rare and took forever even though the place was empty. The bathroom had a couple dead roaches in the corner and it looked like nobody cares to clean the toilet seat where there was pee. I can't remember exactly the employees names but one had longish brown hair brown eyes and the other short black hair blue eyes. Ordered pickle chips, out of pickles, ordered a Cobb salad, out of grilled chicken so ordered buffalo chicken and requested no blue cheese. Got the salad with blue cheese and no chicken they said they were now out of Buffalo chicken. No AC, swarmed with flies. Our meal (for two) foster $45 and all that was ordered was a salad, Cajun chicken sandwich (somehow had that chicken available but did not offer it for the salad) and mozerella sticks (because they were out of pickle spears) with nothing comped due to lack of service or supplies AFTER PAID and ordered. Started out by them saying we can't eat in the restaurant with our service dog, but could go to the bar with our underaged son.
