    Crispy Chicken Cutlet
    Anthony D.

Located in the Tiger Sugar bubble tea store, they have a separate counter on the right hand side. You can still order from the kiosk for both. We ordered the Crispy Chicken Cutlet and it was HUGE, so don't expect it to be a snack. It was surprisingly juicy as well, definitely a pretty good place to stop by if you aren't sitting down for a full meal. It did take a minute for the food to come out though.

[FOOD] For 10 bucks the chicken cutlet is GINORMOUS. I was kinda shocked how big it was. It was thick and crispy too. O: You can definitely eat this for two meals with rice. [SERVICE] Standard. [PLACE] This place shares a spot with Tiger Sugar. They have some tables for seating. [VERDICT] I like chicken cutlets so I am biased and will give this a 5 out of 5. Where else in Chicago can you find a giant chicken cutlet?

We got the deep fried chicken cutlet smothered in sweet chili sauce and don't get me wrong. It was good, but it was extremely messy. The chicken is pipping hot which is always a good thing, you can tell it was freshly fried but the sauce was coated and spilling out of the container. The container is very poorly decided and the chicken is still super hot so it's a little hard to carry the chicken. The flavors are good though, but the execution was disappointing. I also had to ask for napkins but they kept only giving me 1 even though this chicken was SUPER messy. Overall tasty, but not worth the hassle in my opinion.

The chicken cutlet is a generous size and juicy. The popcorn chicken is also good, but not as good as the cutlet. The breading isn't amazing, but it's pretty good. They fry to order, so you might wait a bit for your freshly fried chicken. You get to choose one flavor seasoning powder to go with your chicken. My friend and I got the spicy seasoning, which was a nice addition. While the chicken cutlet was well cooked, I noticed they did cut it open to check if it was cooked. I'm glad they made sure, but I hope they can improve their frying skills so this isn't necessary. Alternatively, at least a food thermometer would make a smaller hole. They're sharing a space with Tiger Sugar, so you can order chicken from the same counter that you order boba. I would come back for the cutlet if I wanted a big snack or a light meal!

The Chunky Boss is a convenient hub for your fried chicken and fries combo. I particularly enjoyed eating the sweet chili fried chicken and sweet potato fries as they are reasonably priced and a sizable piece!

A day in chinatown Chicago being the foodies that we are! Started with a meal from here & we shared the huge chicken nugget (we cut it up to share as seen in picture), fries, and a Boba drink from tiger sugar chicago all for around $17! It was super tasty and next time I'll have to try out their different sauces!

Me & my girlfriend decided to finally stop by after this place started going viral on social media. We got the combo that comes with a big piece of chicken, tenders and fries. The chicken is as huge as they say it is lol. One thing to note is that you have to pay extra for sauce and it comes in a tiny container. We found it difficult to dip the big chicken in the container and for having to pay extra for sauce it just wasn't enough. The chicken is cooked fresh and hot and as a result be prepared to spend some time waiting for your meal. The food came hot and and the chicken was juicy. We also got some boba from Tiger Sugar which is located within the same area. We do recommend getting the combo if you plan to share food with someone to get more bang for your buck!

Decent. Small space. Tasty food yet requires more quality control. Plum seasoning is great with the mango sauce. Service is fine for such a fast food busy place.

My friend really wanted to try this place for a quick bite since we were not that hungry. She ordered the chicken cutlet with spicy sauce, and I ordered the popcorn chicken with plum. The cutlet and the popcorn chicken both were huge portions, and the seasoning still lacked flavor. The service is slow as well since they share with Tiger Sugar and everyone orders from the kiosk.

Chunky definitely describes what you get! Cutlet is about the size of my face. Some seats inside though it can get competitive if it is busy. If you get sauce I might not recommend walking around with it since the sauce drips out the side. The sweet thai taste was okay - though the crispy cutlet is the way to go since you can choose the spice to put on it. The store does a good job telling you this, but please know that it takes time for them to cook them fresh. Do not expect it to be super fast food. Would add a star if the taste was a bit better on the sweet thai and I got a holdable carton that did not leak all over the place.

My second time here and was as good as the first time. The chicken cutlets are huge and freshly made. I enjoy the pepper seasoning with mine. So fun to order and eat while walking around.

I love the chicken here!!!! This place is always a go to when I'm in the area. Chunky Boss has self service kiosks to allow you to place your order quickly. The chicken is cooked to order but the wait isn't too bad. There's seating inside & outside, but I decided to sit outside as it was a lovely day! The chicken is very flavorful and the sauce options accompany it very well. Definitely stop by to try this place, you won't be let down!!!

By far the worst fried chicken I ever had. Super soggy and not good at all. I order a cutlet combo with a boba. The only thing that was good was the boba from Tiger sugar. So so so bad Will not be coming back for the fried chicken, but will be coming back for boba ONLY!

We saunter up to our chosen restaurant only to find a sign on the door that says, "closed for private event." Did I mention I was hangry? My husband suggests Jake Melnick's. It was within walking distance ... did I mention it was raining that night? And I was hangry? I was game for anything at that point. We arrived and waited probably four minutes for a table. A couple of the adults ordered a beer, the others ordered a Coke. We ordered a large pretzel and our mains. The pretzel was so good. All the meals were outstanding (a sliced brisket sandwich, some wings, chicken tenders, onion rings and a burger). Service was great. It was a little loud when we first arrived as there was an intense Illinois State basketball game on but as soon as the game ended, it was much quieter. We really enjoyed our meal at Jake's!

My friend and I dedicated a day where we would just put our name down and however long it took we would wait haha. We drove into the city which took and hour and we put our name down and waited an hour before we were called. The weather was great so we just walked around the west loop area. We started with a half size of the green salad and a half size of the roasted bone marrow. The house salad is super refreshing. A lot of vinegar in the dressing which I personally really like. Also tasted some fennel which was an interesting flavor. The roasted bone marrow is the winner of the night. I would come back to Au Cheval for this alone. It was paired with a thick slice of Texas toast and a beef cheek marmalade and it is seriously the PERFECT balance of flavors. Fatty. Sweet. Buttery. Literally insane and this is a must order! Then came the famous burger. My friend and I each ordered a single cheeseburger with the egg and bacon added. Something to note is that the single cheeseburger actually has 2 patties and the double cheeseburger has 3 patties (3/4lbs of beef). The presentation itself is beautiful and makes you just not want to eat it haha. The burger itself is so decadent and hefty with the burger patties, cheese, egg and bacon. I'll be honest, I needed some more pickles or just something to cut all the fattiness of the burger. There were pickles in the burger and it is served with a huge pickle spear. But I still was itching for some more bitterness/acid to balance the flavors. It was so decadent, I couldn't finish it all. All in all, I would definitely come back and order the burger again and would recommend it to anyone! We ordered a side of fries which came with their garlic aioli. The fries were cooked to perfection. Super crunchy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside and piping hot! The garlic aioli is perfect and have no notes for it. We also were treated to a vanilla scoop with chocolate sauce which was the perfect cap to our meal! Our waitress was so friendly and my friend and I loved her! She was so sweet and genuine. Hog Salt restaurants never fail with their service!

Au Cheval is likely the most coveted restaurant destination for out-of-towners…read more "Best Burger" "it's so delicious with the egg" "I'm glad you're ending your trip with Au Cheval". I'd like to throw in my own quote into the gauntlet: "it's ok". It sounds harsh but Our burger patty was noticeably dry. The bread... was also dry. The egg and bacon add-ons were good but as a whole, the burger was missing the core aspect. The bread being dry I can justify by knowing that Au Cheval makes it a point to make everything gluten-free (or so someone told me). I think that's cool but not necessarily what I came looking for. I actually noticed prior to our trip from photos that the buns looked noticeably arid but I gave them no heed because of all of the praise. And I can give them the benefit of the doubt that we were there on a Sunday night, so potentially not the most quality inventory (although I personally don't think that's a great excuse). The service and the ambiance were on point! If you're wondering if there's a required attire (no shorts or flip flops) I wouldn't fret, the atmosphere is a lot more casual despite self-describing as an "intimate" setting. It's definitely more intimate than a normal burger restaurant, with dim lighting and isolated booths but what you're wearing isn't going to dictate how other guests and staff feel. I would cover up anyways just cause there was ac running. I told my friend who moved from Nyc to Chicago and he said he felt the same. And one of our couple friends were surprised to hear the patty being dry, so... off day?

We also didn't have a chair so she had to go find a chair and she found one so really appreciate her hustle. The wings came out pretty quickly, the honey barbecue wings were really sweet, and came with a substantial amount of sauce. The ranch was impeccable. It was not too thin and came with celery. The birds nest hot sauce was relatively hot for a medium. I was definitely feeling the spice after two or three. I think there was a little too much sauce on the wings for me, personally, but overall very good.
