How was it? Fries- Delicious! Fresh cut fries, made right in front of you. They were great! Huge portion, too! Merkts Cheddar Sauce- Hell yeah! Give me a gallon of this, and I will chug it! Such a tasty cheese sauce. Loved dipping my fries in it. Great combo! Char Dog- This dog was delicious! Great char, great toppings. My only beef would be the bun. It definitely could have been more soft/steamed and fresh. It held up pretty well, but there were a couple bites where it broke and flaked apart. Hate when that happens. Still...didn't ruin the overall experience. Had a great last meal in Chicago before I headed to the airport.

I was impressed by how fast my order came out even with a large group of college kids ahead of me. Once I got my order I headed into the indoor seating area which I found to be clean and neat -but smaller than the typical sitting area at a full size Cane's. As for the food itself, a 3 pc combo, came out fast and was fresh out of the fryer. Taste was spot on but the chicken tenders looked slightly smaller than what I've seen in the past. Overall it hit the spot and I'm sure I'll be back again with my kids.

I ordered through the Jack in the Box app and somehow the pickup process went smoothly despite the secretive setup. Be warned: NO DRIVE-THRU. Also, parking is absolutely crazy. Definitely one of the more unusual food pickup experiences I've had. It has that classic late night comfort food vibe and feels like one of those staple spots you have to try at least once. First night I ordered a polish hot dog with everything on it and a fish sandwich w/ extra grilled onions. Super cool that your order comes with fries and I added a cheese cup both times. In my opinion the fries were mid the first go around, but second time they were better. Definitely tasted better dipped in cheese. They were kinda airy in texture, if that makes sense. Polish hot dog was around a 6.5-7/10 for me. It did taste better warmed up the next day. What I was most obsessed with was the double cheeseburger and fish sandwich! both were easily a 10/10. Super good prices and worth the money. Also, the chile peppers were sooo bomb and hotter than I expected ! I wanted to eat them all, but they were packing some serious heat! The lemon Italian ice is where it's at, make sure to order one! You can also mix it with strawberry, but both times people recommended the lemon and now I see why. The line gets super active and busy past 10-11pm, but during the daytime it's way less crowded. Even when it gets packed the line moves pretty quick. They stay open late and close at 1am which is nice.

I must warn you beforehand, but it can be a painful experience finding a parking space in this tight lot, which also shares space with a Hampton Inn. I honestly thought that was a poor location for a Hampton Inn--let alone any hotel--but I guess it is a win if you are staying at the hotel itself. Now, I initially stopped by for just the cajun fries, but ended up ordering them with their veggie sandwich, which caught me completely by surprise as a menu item. I thought to myself, "Look at them trying to appeal to us vegans and vegetarians," which honestly is not hard at all. The veggie sandwich comes topped with green peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, grilled onions, and grilled mushrooms. To add to the satisfying taste, I ordered cheese on it as well, turning it into a veggie cheese sandwich. My order was completed just several minutes after placing it, which gave me the chance to observe the steady customer flow and the employees working hard behind the counter. Okay, one thing I was completely unprepared for was the excessive dumping of fries inside the bag--a brown paper bag, at that! At the time, I felt as though it would have resulted in a greasy mess if I hadn't eaten them right when I got inside my vehicle. I later learned that Five Guys is known for their generous portions of extra fries. Oh my God, those addictive-tasting fries! I had one hand on the steering wheel driving, and the other digging out fries by the second, which made driving in Chicago a bit more relaxing. Once I was down to the very last crumbs, I dumped the rest straight into my mouth. Dear Five Guys, why do you make your fries so irresistibly delicious? My initial response upon looking at the veggie cheese sandwich was, "Ooouuu, that looks like a cheeseburger!" The funny thing is, I had every intention of saving it for dinner, but once I opened it up to take pictures while it was fresh, I ended up eating it right there on the spot! Oopsie! With the addition of the cheese, I must say that it was satisfyingly delicious. I am quite positive that I will return to Five Guys just to get it again, along with those addictive fries. I thoroughly enjoyed this Five Guys location and can surely see myself returning. For me, the major plus for ordering here is receiving cash back on my purchases, which I cannot complain about since it gets redeemed in a timely manner via the Upside app. Service: 5 | Atmosphere: 4 | Food: 4 ~ Live.
