The same can be said for the pork bone soup as it doesn't typically have as much meat on the bone as other Korean restos. The side dishes it comes with are bean sprouts, kimchi, and pickled turnip. SERVICE (n/a) Since it's part of a food court, it's all self service and served on tray which you bus yourself back on the rack in front of the restaurant. VALUE (4/5) The dishes are usually about $3-4 cheaper than comparable Korean sit-down spots (eg. Owl, BCD). Because it's food court style, you don't have to pay for the service or tips. They always give you very little meat with too much rice and the dish ends up being expensive for what you actually get. My advice is don't cheap out and just go to a normal restaurant and order the dish, you'll get more value for your money there. The pork bone soup is honestly addictive though. Good portion size; enough meat and enough soup. Really rich and sweet soup, which is just what I need in the winter to heal my bitter soul. Meat is fall off the bone tender and super flavourful. When I come I see most people eating either pork bone soup or bibimbap. I've tried enough Korean restaurants to know that the kimchi is fantastic here. Hands down the best I've had to date. It's weird that some dishes don't get kimchi though (I think it was the seafood soup or jajangmyun). And they don't allow refills or sell their kimchi. The spicy and creamy flavors balanced each other really well, and the fried chicken itself was sturdy enough to hold up under all that sauce instead of turning soggy. The rice cakes coated in both sauces were ridiculously good -- the pairing almost felt as naturally meant to be together as tomato and egg. What impressed me most, though, was the chicken itself. The doneness was spot on. The meat was still juicy inside, but not in that overly soft or mushy way some fried chicken can be. It still kept a bit of the chicken's natural texture and slight chewiness, which made it much more satisfying to eat. The plain wings we ordered on the side were also outstanding. Without sauce, you could really appreciate the frying technique. The crust was extremely crispy, but the inside stayed juicy and never dried out. Even my friend -- who's usually very picky about chicken -- immediately ordered another batch on the spot. Purely in terms of fried chicken technique, this is honestly one of the best I've had so far.
