Sooooo slow. It took close to an hour to get our food. We were with another couple and they offered to split our bills. But they charged them wrong and put it on the wrong bill. They only had two people working. Their attention was on the bar. The food itself was very tasty. The shrimp street tacos were spicy. The shrimp were plump and tender. The topping was crunchy. The grilled cheese was nicely toasted. The side tots were ok. Our friend enjoyed the Philly cheesesteak and said it was good. His wife thought the fish ( and chips ) was greasy. They were out of regular French fries and charged extra for the offered substitutes. Lots of televisions available to watch the playoffs. Lots of space inside. read more

So I seen that this place has been in the TV show so I wanted to check out what all the hype was about. The trip tip sandwich tasted amazing! Highly recommend it! Definitely a 8.5 out of 10... if they could of added just a tad more tri tip to the sandwich it would easily been a ten. Check out the photos I took of it. I paid a little more and up graded to onion rings... they were average. I also got the sliders... three sliders are included. I gave them a 6 out of ten but my guy says they were a 8 or 9 out of 10 for him. I expected more bacon flavor but it was not there in my opinion. I took photos of the sliders too! Check them out! Lastly I tried the beast fries. I gave them a 3 out of ten. My guy agreed with me on this one. To be fair I got them to go and they were only warm by the time I ate them, may add another point if they are hot.. but I can't say for sure. The nacho cheese sauce over powered all the other flavors. In addition the tri tip was dry on the fries. Parking was a tad challenging but everyone was there watching the playoffs. It is very loud in there! Again it was just after the playoffs ended so there was a watch party still going on. There was a blonde waitress behind the bar who was not helpful. She gave me my food ( it was to go). I told her I hadn't paid for it. She looked at the bill and said it wasn't her bill so .. she shrugged her shoulders and walked off. I had to flag down another waitress and explained to her I hadn't paid. She said the other girl could have rung me up. She said I wasn't n her tab either but she would help me Overall I would go here again for the tri tip sandwich but not the sliders and certainly not the the beast fries. Arrived at 7:30pm on a Friday night and the place was packed. Found a place at the bar and waited a good 10+ min to order a couple of beers and was told the kitchen was backed up. Waited 15+ min to place our order and learned the 3rd kitchen person had arrived. Luckily our food came out within 5 min! This is a great place to hang out with friends and have a drink with tasty grub at a great price! If you're in a hurry, call and order to go! I wanted to try this place because I was driving through Manteca and I saw the Big pretzel photos. I enjoy trying out new places when I am traveling through to bring different tastes home for my family to try. I ordered the Giant Pretzel, Tri tip Sandwich and Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich.....All of which I have thrown away. Horrible and waste of my money and time. I have to admit - I am a sucker for pretzels with extra cheese. The waitress was sweet and kind and she gave me extra cheese but the extra cheese didn't help the burnt pretzel. Both the sandwiches look like they used the same meat. The meat is akin to beef jerky. Dry and tough and uber, super salty - can't take it. Who the heck seasoned this ?!?! Oh my Lord - do you have damaged taste buds- you can't taste the pure salt you aggressively poured into this meat? I am disappointed. I have regret. I have a salty mouth and sad face. Yummo! Came for an early lunch on a Saturday and the service was great. Attentive & friendly. Food came out quickly and was really good. My western bbq burger has got be the best one I have ever eaten. (Seriously tho) My husband ordered the bacon blue and said it was really good. Had a taste myself and while it was yummy the blue cheese dominates the flavor profile. We will definitely be back and would recommend you give this place a try. read more

My Husband picked this spot after a few hours of waiting at the Social Security office... I was surprised at the door that this place was a literal bar. I felt like a fool bringing in my 2 young daughters into a place like this, lol. I glared at my husband and said "this place is a bar!!" Whatever we still go along and pick a booth to sit at. Music is loud. The waitress comes and gives us menus and takes our drink order promptly. - I should've ordered something else, i just got iced water.. which ended up being tap water that tasted unfiltered, literally like from the sink.. I do not have any photos of this place because I was constantly on my phone dealing with the birth certificate and social security stuff. The food..: we got calamari (shows it comes with tentacles on the menu, but really was all just rings) & chicken wings for our appetizer wings were super big in size, and flavorful kind of like a bbq mixture, but i would've just preferred Buffalo wings ..I ordered a cheesesteak, it was decent, really glad that it came piping hot...it was a good portion, a good amount of meat inside with onions, it felt super messy. My husband ordered a 50/50 burger and said it was just alright. My tastebuds were on overload with the salt. All the food tasted salty. I pretty much lost my appetite and just wanted to box everything up and go. The Togo boxes are self serve on a table out side of the bathroom.. My daughter kept eyeing the dart boards and my husband wanted to play pool, but we weren't there for that. The bathroom was disgusting & I pretty much just wanted to get out of this place quickly. We've always found good food at reasonable prices at Chuck's. We've also found that the wait staff is very good, polite and efficient. The problem has been their kitchen service, the last two times we've been there, we've had to wait over an hour for our food to be delivered. On both occasions, all the tables were full. There was only one server and she was moving, so we don't see that as the problem. It's tough to have enough staff, but this affects business and it will catch up to you. First, the only reason I was going to take a star off was because at first the bartender was a little rude, but she turned it around. This was our first time coming here. We decided to check it out seeing as the reviews were good. Walking in we didn't realize it was a bar-like setting which was pretty cool. I asked the bartender if we just sat anywhere and that's where the slight rudeness came in, just slight. We sat down and ordered drinks, my first drink was phenomenal. It was nice and strong. My second was basically juice lol but it was okay since I wasn't going to order more. My fiancé had 2 beers which were huge. Can't really mess up beer lol. Our food was so delicious. I had the San Francisco Burger and he had the 50/50 burger. He said his was amazing and so was mine. I tried to take a picture but was a little late since I had eaten most my fries and part of the burger lol. All in all, the experience was good. I can not say enough about the ladies that were working this past Sunday, best customer service ever! My husband and I came in on Sunday at 1:20 pm, not realizing the 49ers game was starting in 10 minutes. It was our first time to Chuck's. When we opened the door we were greeted by everyone in niners gear! One of the ladies came up seeing we were kind of lost at the front door, and told us there was 1 table left at the end so we took it! They have about 6 booths, chairs at the bar and maybe 10 tables. They also have TV's everywhere so there is no bad seat. They have a pretty good menu including burgers, sandwiches, appetizers and wings. We ordered a dozen wings, potstickers and the shrimp tacos. My husband had a beer and I had coffee. The wings: We ordered them plain with buffalo and ranch on the side. The wings were big, crunchy and delicious. They offer different sauces and dry rubs so you can really get whatever flavor you want. The shrimp tacos: You get 3 tacos, with slaw, shrimp and a slightly spicy aoili. They were great. The potstickers: Delicious! Yes I know they were probably frozen, but hey, you are at a bar. They were hot and crunchy. If you are looking for the traditional soft potsticker with just a crunchy bottom these are not them. I actually ate them and a little later ordered another plate because they were good. The first time it came with a teriyaki sauce and the second time it came with a sweet chili sauce and I loved them both. I do think they made the coffee to order as it was hot and delicious and they had my favorite vanilla creamer. Really this review is for the 3 ladies that worked the early afternoon shift on Sunday. They clocked out at 4 pm. They were incredible. You have about 50 people barking food and drink orders at you, some getting more drunk as the afternoon went on, and these ladies never stopped. They never stopped working, they never stopped smiling and they never stopped with awesome customer service! Thank you so much. It made our first visit a lot of fun. The niners winning helped too. I really wanted to like this place. But... let me start out and say the help was nice. No complaints in that however to say that they were slow and inattentive would be an understatement. At least in my section. The section next to us had better service. We sat down and the table was filthy. The bartender said he would clean it but didn't come back. So we wiped down the table. I mean, this was one of our first times eating in an establishment since Covid. Ugh. He then came back like 10 minutes later to get our orders. We ordered food, a Guinness and soda. It took another almost ten minutes to get those. The beer was nearly room temperature. Which is is how they serve them in Ireland. Oh well. Fast forward ten more minutes. The food come up in two shifts not all at once. I ordered wings. Ghost pepper mind you. They were super hot. I could have drank 5 more beers easily but.... we were never served again. Nothing No soda refill, no beers. There seem to be a lot of locals who had everyone's attention. We finally went to the bar and asked for our bill. The young lady brought it over and quickly said she was sorry for not coming over. She was finishing a double shift. Actually that was the first time we saw her. Apoun arrival men fighting in parking lot, seating sucks for there's no short seats. Service ok food sucked tri tip over cooked taste freezer burnt , wife's fresh dip was freezer burnt, all food n tater tots were cold as served as I complained nothing was rectified. Ordered through Uber eats, order was delayed a couple of times then after waiting over an hour driver calls & informs me the bartender says I canceled my order, I attempted to call the establishment x4 times no answer. I then called the driver who proceeded to have someone speak with me. Heard loud music while I waited but no one would speak directly to me. They told the driver to tell me the kitchen was closed. We were not expecting a full on bar when we walked in. There was plenty of seating along the side and tables in the middle. It was pretty loud and everyone was having a good time. We found a table and with 2 adults and 4 kids I wondered if this was a good idea or not. It didn't take long before our waitress showed up and took our drink orders then back for our food orders. Let me tell you, they don't skimp on food here! I had the Parmesan burger and it was pretty good while my wife had the French Dip and it was good but certainly not the best she's ever had. The kids all had a kids meal, burgers or grilled cheese and had no complaints. The service was good and food came out timely. We went today for a nice lunch with some family that came into town. They saw the place on a tv show and wanted to try it out. There were 8 of us. After ordering and waiting a while for food, we noticed many other tables were getting their entire meals before us. In fact, families came into the restaurant, got their food, ate their entire meals, got boxes, paid, and left--and we still didn't have our food. The food eventually started coming in slowly, and 6 had their food and finished meals. 2 were left without food for hours. We were assured that the cook was working on the meals, but was cooking tables completely out of order. We witnessed that first hand. Food was finally delivered, and one in a to-go box because we had to leave. After getting home the meal was made completely wrong. I will say the food that did show up tasted great. Service was ok, but we were there so long that our drinks like water and tea sat unfilled. They apologized and credited some meals, but the experience was unforgivable. We won't be back. read more

The bartender who saved Christmas! Since Directv wouldn't air the 49er game, went to Chucks. The bartender was all alone serving the entire place drinks and making food. Chucks couldn't get the game either. Bartender worked so hard to get the game on. Served food and drinks. Had a great positive attitude all the time. The only reason I would come back is this bartenders attitude and work ethic. What owner of a sports bat leaves his ONE employee to work with NO game and NO other support. If ownership or management was adequate, these problems would not have happened. It would have been busier with the game on at the beginning. But your worker saved the day. read more

I made the trek from Vallejo to go to this place and it was worth it. Had lunch with my young adult/children and we were all very satisfied.
