I haven't been to a Chuck E Cheese in about 35 years. Things were so different back then. I have to admit it is geared to all ages. Crazy loud but this is what you buy into. Food is the same as any other party place. The young lady assisting my son and daughter in law was engaging. For two hours, the kids ran around and played the games. I guess the most important thing is they were happy. I, on the other hand, went for a large margarita. I am happy there are places like this to accommodate parties. read more

Came by Wednesday for some dinner and games with the kids and they had a blast! Not to empty for the middle of the week but still able to play all the games. Chuck E cheese pizza was delicious, we got a Large Pepperoni with medium size of boneless wings. Perfect for a family of 4 with young children. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The lady at the front desk explained to us about the fun pass which ends up being worth it if you plan on going more than once! Different plan options with play points that reload everyday for you to use. Also discounts on food and extra play points for games if needed. The tables were clean and all the games seemed to be working with no out of service sign on them. Chuck e cheese comes out every so often for a dance party! For a company that has been around since 1977, Chuck E Cheese does a nice job of staying relevant to their main demographic: kids between 4 and 12 and of course their parents. I remember from my youth (growing up in Chicago, Showbiz Pizza was the place), wanting to go there..and of course it became a staple when my daughter was younger (birthday parties, especially). I do remember their remaking of their food, gearing it towards parents as well. A lot of memories (fond and some not so much...a lot based on how busy it was). Haven't been back for at least 10 years (and honestly thought I never would considering Covid and the viability of a place like this staying open where you WILL catch something if there is a sick child). But we were in town for a birthday, so took our nieces and nephews (aged 7, 4, 1) to Chuck E Cheese for lunch. Much of it is how we remembered: one entrance where you are given a UV light stamp across the kids and adults (to not allow kids to get separated when leaving). You then place an order for food (if you want) and 'tokens', where the best deal is to combine the two. My daughter found a great deal on-line where you could get 1,000 bonus tickets if you purchase an hourly plan for $33. The two older girls are at that age where they want to stay together, but also want their own cards. So we purchased two 1 hour unlimited (they already had the wristbands from a previous visit). We also got a large pizza (no toppings since couldn't find any topping that everybody liked) for $21.99. You are given a pager, which went off after 10 minutes, at which point you can pick up. There is a self-service soda fountain, which allows you to get complementary filtered water. The pizza is OK, thinner crust. One hour was the right amount of time for the girls. One is allowed to pause it ONE time via the self-service kiosk, to eat lunch. We think there is a 10 second or so delay between each valid scan so you COULD only have one card and still be able to have two kids play at the same time. But sharing is not the most common trait between sisters at that age, so glad that we got two. The mix of games was pretty good, good for young ages but also a lot that a 10 year old would enjoy. it wasn't too crowded so no kids were waiting...if a game was busy, they would just move to a new one. The card automatically stops working after the period (though it didn't happen at the exact same time, so that was an interesting conversation to explain 'Why/'). We then went up to the prize center, and then realized how valuable the 1,000 point bonus that we had gotten was. Basically even after an hour of playing, the oldest one only added 200 points to the card (the younger one only 80 points). After combining the points (and adding $3), they were able to get identical Chuck E Cheese gumball plushies. It's actually pretty good quality, and we named them Chuck E and his brother Carlos. So when we were ready to leave the building, we all got together and the attendant made sure we all had the same stamp. Hoping it won't be another 10 years before we are back! read more

Haven't been here since preCovid but they have since removed any jungle gym parts and made it an entire arcade. There is the money option and the time option. One interesting thing is that you can use the time option on ticketed games as well. Most places don't allow that. So that is fun for the kids. They have beer, dippin dots, pizza, cotton candy etc. My 8 year old had a ton of fun on our little "date". She's already asking about going back next time. I like dancing there and playing with my friends. The pizza tasted very good even tho it was super une even one side looked extremely smaller than the other. The staff there was polite and supper profesional I felt like I was in a luxurious restaurant. Its so sad to see this company struggling especially during the covid pandemic if I could go to chuck e cheeese any more I would be bumped out and super heartbroken if i saw this company shut down permanently. Then toss some Cheetos on it and you have Cheetos Mac n Cheese Pizza. It's decent not great, the Cheetos are great, but really just get a bag of Cheetos lol. Great food. I their service is on time. Their ambiance makes it feel so fun for the kids. We had such a fun time as a family together there.

Chuck E. Cheese has come a long way from when I was a kid. No more scary robots with a broken eye and no more dingy carpet that smells like urine. This particular Chuck E. Cheese is completely renovated and larger than the previous location. Right when you walk in, you'll notice that the place is bright and clean. There is plenty of room for kids to run around without feeling overly crowded. The games are in great condition despite how rough the little ones can be. Even the food is noticeably different - the pizza was surprisingly better than I thought it would be. I can see why their $5.99 lunch buffet would do well. To save yourself the trouble, just go ahead and put in a larger bill for tokens. Even though each game is only one token, your kid will run through them quick. By doing so, you also get a better deal by buying more tokens up front. You just can't help but play alongside your child in skee ball. Make sure to check out the life size Operation game and Terminator Salvation shooter and finish the playtime with Dippin Dots. Chuck E. Cheese is still a great place for a kid to be a kid. read more

Restaurant Review Screaming kids, lots of arcades, and a packed jungle gym. What a great way to burn some time. I use to like coming to check e cheese when I was younger. The games, the tickets, and the hot pipping pizza were a lot better when I was younger, but I went a couple months back to play the games and I don't think I will be back until I have kids. The crazy kids running around, screaming, trying to take your tickets is still there. The only plus is the games are cheaper than gameworks with less of the violent games. If you like amusement park games to win tickets than this is the place to go. Also the pizza is okay but definatley below pizza hut quality. It seemed so good when I was a kid... Barrington, Illinois Been going many years & now grandkids. They love it, always old favorites & some new surprises. I really miss the Rock-afire Explosion animatronics. Great sound, fun show no matter what age. Many characters when started out, everything moved. Chuck E. interacted with kids. We followed every location that still had them. Now human one comes out waves & disappears at all locations. Wait line was a lot better last time, even when crowded. More relaxing. Kids' favorite place. Everything usually working, easy to find fast help with problem. Bathrooms are super clean. Only one line, one person takes ticket and food orders. Tickets confusing so one person takes forever to pay. Line was out door, never did eat. When someone just doesn't get the way it works, like 15 mins repetition someone else should take them aside, a manager maybe. Getting a much needed wine is impossible. Once you finally pay & given receipt, you then have to wait again for special person of legal age to just hand it to you..back in line with food/tickets for only person. Other locations have at least one of each. Again maybe manager could hand these over. Or just unlock after pay so we can grab our own. We attended my nephews bday party here 6 days ago and my two kids started vomiting with a fever two days after and finally getting over the stomach flu. Were a family of four and we all got sick one by one. My kuds gave it to me and my wife and currently I am vomiting my guts out. This place is a germ land. Chuck E. Cheese: Where a Kid Can Run Around Unsupervised! My family does a lot of birthday parties here. It's germ central, but that's anywhere children abound. They do have sanitizer stations now, which I like to see. The live shows are cute, although they do current pop songs now, as sung by the animatronic puppets. Kinda weird, but I guess the kids like seeing a giant monster sing Miley Cyrus? The sandwiches are decent. The pizza is standard pizza. Can't really expect anything gourmet, I mean, it's Chuck E Cheese. And there's beer for the grown ups. Which, I love beer, but definitely find it a bit disconcerting that you can get drunk, and then drive your toddler home. Most parents here don't seem to pay much, if any, attention to their children while there. Maybe that's the point of the place? But the game area can get a bit dangerous with children at knee height running violently into the grown ups, or throwing balls around. Not just the basketballs, but the heavy hard skeeball balls! Ahhh yes, skeeball. My favourite part of any arcade! Unfortunately (and my family is no exception here) the littler kids will try to play and end up throwing the ball 3 lanes down. So, while the attendants try to keep an eye on it and even out the lanes when they can, it's not uncommon to put in your token and there are no balls. Or no tickets. But if you let an attendant know NICELY, they're pretty good at compensating for it. Don't be ghetto and demanding, they deal with enough of that already. My favourite feature is that they have someone guarding the exit. So your kids can't leave without you. And they have a system in place to know which kids go with which adults, to avoid abductions. Thia was the first time I have been to a Chuck E. Cheese in my life. They didn't have it where I grew up. It was a pleasure to take my 7 year old here for her bday. Everyone was very friendly. They have easy to access coupons online. They have raspberry ice tea which is my fav :D Chuck E. We come here pretty frequently. It's the closest location to us in the NW suburbs, though sometimes we venture out to the Arl Hts (Dundee Rd) location. Over the last couple of summers, we'd come about 2-4 times a month. Haven't been here though, since August this year. We went last night and what a big change! Seems like they did a complete overhaul of the interior of the arcade. Been here often enough in the past that I can tell you the exact layout of all the previous games and kid attractions, but it's all been updated now...I assume to coincide with the redesign of Chuck E Cheese himself (yes, they updated and modernized him). Still the same good stuff - entrance/exit is monitored. Everyone in your party has their hand stamped with the same number (special ink only visible under black-light), and hand stamps are checked upon exit. Pizza/Salad Bar are decent, at least for a kids' palette. Ice cream vending machine. Kid-Friendly restrooms, etc. We've gotten to know the staff here and they recognize us as well. They are always friendly and helpful. Back to the arcade - lots of new stuff and keeps it exciting for the kids. One of the newest games is Fruit Ninja on a huge touch-screen monitor. Still have the usual suspects as well, Skeeball, Basketball/Hoops, Carousel (but a new one), the climbing structure in the middle. All games are a token (roughly 22 to 25 cents each depending on what token package you purchase). Most games offer tickets for playing (higher the score, higher the tickets). They also have a section for smaller kids/toddlers. My kids' faves are skeeball, carousel, whack-a-mole, and any the photo 'games' that spit out black & white photos or picture cards. This location is pretty good at keeping the place clean (enough). Hard task given all the kids running amok, but I do notice staff wiping tables/games/rides down. If you get the Sunday paper, look out for the coupons they offer every so often in the weekly circulars. It's a bargain if you use the tokens coupons. Or, sign up for the email list and you can get coupons there as well. $20 (shared/split among my 3 and 5 year old) buys us about 1-1.5 hours here on average....though, they could definitely spend many more hours here than that! read more

I've been here the past 4 years for my nephews birthday. I really think it's great for ALL ages. Even the grown men in our group had a blast with the basketball, football & skeeball games..they won a bunch of tickets for the kids to pick out some fun stuff at the ticket booth. Sign up online for their email list and get coupons and specials for game tokens, party packages, etc. They monitor closely as kids/adults come & go to be sure no children leave with the wrong adult. Thought that was great! The pizza is good..I mean, I'm a fan of almost all pizza, but I've never heard any complaints from the rest of our group & we're always having to order more. This year I gave up pizza for lent so tried out their salad bar and it far exceeded my expectations..fresh lettuce, wide variety of toppings, and multiple yummy dressings. Also had some of their chicken nuggets and those were good too. I was surprised to see they have glasses of wine on the menu..I think beer too. Overall decent menu for a "kid's" place. I easily get grossed out by dirty smelly places (who doesn't!?) and was pleasantly surprised at how nice & clean (& smell free!) they manage to keep this place. *MINUS the tunnel that runs across the ceiling..that is just brutal! This Chuck E. Cheese looks nice. It's more modern than the one in Skokie which I've always gone to. Bigger space, newer games, pizza good as always. However, Chuck E Cheese himself was lackluster. My son really wanted to interact with him and kept trying to get a hug and dance with him when he was "dancing" with all the kids before the ticket toss thing, but this guy in the costume basically hated his life. He barely made any effort to move his body and dance with the kids. It was pretty upsetting to see my kid not get the experience he wanted. I know wearing a costume like that might not be the best job but don't do it if you don't have the energy for the job/ like kids. I hope the Managment sees my post and takes action on finding a new Chuck because for someone who's working on a Sunday afternoon where the traffic is high, there should've been a good Chuck e. We are planning on checking CEC out on Sunday evening to celebrate our two year old son's birthday with just my husband, myself, the bday boy & our infant daughter. There's no real "party" to plan but I just wanted to call and get some general info. After calling a general 800# and the phone number listed on the Yelp business page, the long menu listed the phone number for the direct location (which is 630-540-2603 if you're searching like I was!)... The young woman who answered the phone was articulate & knowledgeable. She informed me that we would not need a reservation, tables are first come first serve, and that we could purchase a birthday cake from them while we are there if we would like (or we can bring our own - still haven't decided, as their cakes are decorated but not personalized). She mentioned that weekends, in general, are busy but Sunday evenings were less so than Saturday. We shall see. She also confirmed what I've heard from others around town that the new facility (reopened in June 2014) is very clean & well kept. I'll update this post after we check it out! read more

I just had my son's 4th bday party there. They did an amazing job making it a perfect bday party. It is worth every penny and I think a great value. Peter and Sally were phenomenal they both deserve a raise as they made me feel comfortable and took care of everything. Held a big party here for my 2 year olds birthday party. The service was absolutely excellent as they did everything to prepare/serve the food and cake and was always asking if we needed anything else constantly throughout the night. The only problem was that it can get REALLY expensive ordering their food if you have a big party feeding the adults since the party packages are only for the children. Chuck E. Cheese a kids casino!!! I'm a fan, anywhere I can go and take my boys to run around and be kids in the winter time if good to me. I am not a germ a phobe mom, or do I expect kiss *ss service at a place like this. (Hand sanitizer is provided, use it) I only expect that the equipment and games work, and that there is enough fun things for my kids to partake. I send both kids off with $5 worth of tokens and they trade in there tickets for made-in-China crap and everyone is happy. We don't typically eat here, uh why would you? My boys have eaten here for parties, and of course the food was terrible and overpriced, I wouldn't have expected it to be anything less. Good points, not everyone can walk in. There is always a person at the door that stamps each groups hands to ensure they only leave with the kids they came in with, makes me smile! There are typically booths or tables parents can sit at instead of aimlessly chasing after there crazed child who is distracted by flashing lights. So bring a water bottle, snack, and some ear phones to listen to your favorite tunes and chill out while your kids go ape-sh*t. read more

I had my son's birthday party here this past weekend and was less than thrilled. I should have known better than having a party here on a Saturday afternoon. So many kids you could barely move, kids running around without supervision, waiting in line for games,etc. My party host was awful and hard to find. I was irritated and annoyed when the adult food came out after the kids pizza and cake was served. I also ordered a pinata that was done in the last 10-15 minutes of the party and was done in between 2 tables where the kids could barely enjoy the fun. The 5-year old lasted about an hour on the choice of 30 minutes or 30 coins. I recommend having them do the 30 coins over the 30 minutes. It allows one to take their time. When I went to this facilities I was greeted at the door when my family and I entered. We then sat a one of the tables that were open and later made our order while the kids started to play in either the jungle gym or using the tokens that we gave them and used them on the arcade games. While some of us stayed at the table waiting for the food to come, one of the workers would always walk around asking if the customer needed anything. When the food got here it wasn't that good but was decent, at the end of our stay one of workers said have a nice day when we left. read more
