    Stuffed crust pizza

We went here to celebrate a special occasion and as always we were greeted and seated fast. The place is always spotlessly clean! Fatima our server was excellent and took great care of us. The deep dish pizza Saturday night was the most delicious! Please please don't change the sauce - it was THE best ever!! All the food we had was served hot and plentiful! The fried Calamari with the banana peppers and sliced fried lemons was so good as was the fresh baked cookie & ice cream. This location makes THE BEST pizzas out of all the locations we've been to and we drive farther but it's so worth it! Thanks Natalie for keeping/maintaining the quality! Thanks to the Pizza makers too for really making the pizzas out if this world awesome!!

We have not been here since the pandemic.... we had time to dine and since we were driving down Barrington Road my husband mentioned to come here for dinner. The parking lot was full, upon entering the restaurant you noticed right away how clean it is here. The restaurant was also crowded (7:30pm... ) We were seated promptly and waited on right away by the sweetest waitress Daniella. She took our drink and appetizer order and gave us time to look over the menu. We ordered the calamari for our appetizer and it was the best calamari have had in a long time. It was a large portion, fried to perfection... there were even thinly sliced lemons fried among the calamari rings and mini squid looking pieces! So crispy and not chewy at all! yummy My husband wanted a Caesar full size dinner salad and ended up getting the side Caesar... so if you want a bigger salad make sure you tell them the cost of the one you want... it comes in three sizes. He was a little disappointed with the size of his salad. I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo and it was good. I had to add a lot more of the powdered parmesan (in the canisters on the table) to get the right taste... but it ended up being very good! We used to come here for the pizza but we wanted to try something new. We will be back again for sure to give the pizza a try again... and yes I would definitely have the Fettuccine Alfredo and Calamari again

I know a lot of locals say don't go here for deep dish, but if you haven't been in a while you may want to go. I brought my rhen fiancé, a long time Chicagoan, with me and even she was thoroughly impressed with the pizza and said it was better than she remembered. Definitely recommend getting the meat one though #pause. The pepperoni was ok but this one was amazing.

Nice place to take your family and friends. Ordered a 12" thin crust pizza and chicken broccoli fettuccine alfredo that came with garlic bread. We were both full and had leftovers to take home. I like that the Canadian bacon was under the cheese. They were generous with the toppings and even the cheese had a nice thick layer. The chicken in the Alfredo wasn't dry at all, and there was plenty of it as if I asked for extra. The server was attentive and came back to give us more glasses of water and we didn't have to wait long for the check.

I rated this place a 3 due to service. There was only one other couple dining in. After waiting for about 15-20 minutes, I had to go up to the register to ask who was going to take my order. However, the food was good! I had a house salad and a personal deep dish pizza which tasted great!

The best Chicago Deep Dish ever!

So, last night was that time! We walked in about 5:15 on a Sunday afternoon, and they were pretty busy! In addition, they had a guy singing acoustically with his guitar, pretty sweet! We were quickly seated, and water came instant instantaneously along with the menus. I ordered a cocktail and hubby stuck with water. He is, after all, the designated driver tonight. We decided to order Arancini and bruschetta for appetizers, while we ordered a margherita pizza for our main. Very quickly, the appetizer showed up - and the arancini's were small, but very warm to the touch and the bruschetta, while small at only four pieces, had lots of mozzarella, tomatoes, and olive oil on them just the way we like it! Needless to say, the appetizers killed it. But what about the pizza? You may ask well, it showed up and it was very hot- not only was it delicious, but it was the first pizza we've had since arriving in Chicago that had a a crust that tasted like many pizzas we ate in California - that was not a bad thing. While we sat there eating and enjoying the music, we commented on how pleasant and simple the restaurant was and more importantly, the staff was wonderful and very accommodating. Do we recommend this restaurant? Yup, and it's now on our rotation list! Try it and tell us what you think will you?

It was empty when it arrived, but filled up on our way out, telling me it's a popular place for the younger crowd. Either way, you know you're in for a good meal when you see the huge doner rotisserie spinning. The owner (at least I'm pretty sure he was the owner) helpfully walked us through their sauce selection and even offered my MIL some sauce samples. She ended up getting the hot dog with veggies, while my wife and I got sandwich combos (17 for the sandwich + 3.50 for fries and a drink). I was going to share my combo with my preschooler since they don't have a kids meal, but the owner thoughtfully offered some fries with chicken for him. We definitely had to tip well for such nice service. So this is no ordinary sandwich, and the pictures don't do it justice. In pics it looks kind of like a pita pocket, but this thing has some HEFT. Filled with veggies, meat, and sauce, it got a little messy but was really tasty. The veggies were fresh, and it's hard to top meat sliced right off the log. My MIL said her unique hot dog was good as well. To me it looked like a Chicago dog from another dimension, but I also want to give it a try next time. Protip: Ask for your sauces on the side. They're almost too generous with it on the sandwich so it's nice to have a little more control with it. This will definitely enter the rotation and will be letting our friends know as well. Great stuff!

It is the classic set-up, where you pick a base (usually rice) and the protein (usually raw fish), and enhance the texture and flavor by directing the counter person to add various toppings and sauces. The counter person was very friendly, giving us plenty of time to make our choice. She was also generous with the toppings, and I'm pretty sure she would have customized it anyway we want. The prep area was very clean, tidy, and organized, with each bin fully stocked with the prescribed ingredients. There is only one size, with one large scoop of fish and rice being the base, and it's plenty. Some toppings are extra: if you get the basic with tuna and no extra-costing add-ons, it is $12. I ended up getting a predefined bowl called the Da Kine (Marinated tuna) for $13, and it was good: nice mix of flavors and made it simple. Some differences from previous poke places we've been: -- they offer a sushi rice option, taking the same hot white rice, and squirting a sushi (vinegar and sugar) mixture on top of it. In my case, it didn't really add much. -- they have a premarinated tuna option, along with the unmarinated. Some places are now letting you choose your sauce spice mix first, and then marinating your protein choice for you right there. It's a bit more work, but I think it does add something worth it. The marinated tuna that I had was fine, but definitely lacked the absolute 'wow' when eating just freshly cubed ahi tuna. It looks like the Poke Bros are THE place for Poke all around Chicagoland, and they have found a good place to source their ahi and salmon (hopefully) daily, as good as can be expected this far from the ocean.

Le P'tit was the first to pop up on my feed and immediately caught my attention due to its unique menu, historic building, and secluded outdoor oasis for the fair weather seasons. When asked where I wanted to have dinner on my birthday, the answer was easy, L'ptit! We were greeted by the Chef Chopra outside, who welcomed us and asked us to choose the seat that suited us best in or outdoors. We chose a seat outside as it seemed most guests were enjoying the nice weather in the garden. Chef Chopra introduced himself and explained the complimentary montadito, and presented the current specials. We loved that he took time to ask what brought us in, and when we said that we were building a new home in Bartlett only minutes away, he shared that although he has been all over the world he always misses good old Bartlett, IL. This is the kind of connection and service you won't find at franchise restaurants! We enjoyed cocktails, myself a dirty tini with bleu cheese stuffed olives, and my husband the traditional old fashioned and the P'tit old fashioned - both of which he enjoyed. We ordered the hummus for an appetizer - my husband never orders humus. Not a drop was left. It was so flavorful, and since I am intolerant to gluten we loved that it was served with cucumber "chips". We will definitely order this again! Our entrees were both specials - mine the steak and shrimp tower and my husband's the Birria. We could t decide whose was better. The shrimp and steak were so flavorful and beautifully cooked, and the beef and consommé of my husband's was out of this world. My takeaways from Le P'tit: We will be there - regularly, before we move into our home, and after! Have a cocktail, they are fabulous. Talk to Chef Chopra any chance you get. He has seen the world and loves to see his guests enjoying his menu and the atmosphere of his establishment. This is what supporting local is about! Enjoy your time at Le P'tit. Savor. Take a moment to slow down, disconnect from the outside and connect with the ones around you and enjoy the wonderfully and thoughtfully prepared dishes on the menu. We can't wait to be back!

But today, hubby and I decided to try their protein bowls on a busy Friday late-afternoon! We brought the pupster with us, because, you know, he's family. So we sat out on the patio and I went in to order the bowls. I noted something that "probably" explained the relative "busy-ness" - 1/2 price beer and wine on Fridays! How could I not imbibe???? Hubby got the Beef and Sausage Bowl while I got the NEW! Chicken and Avocado Bowl (the latter just screamed "California"!). As a beer was 1/2 price I got a Bud Light on this warm and somewhat humid day. Now one thing you gotta appreciate- though you order at the counter, they give you a number and they bring the food to you- and they bus your table too - not bad! Alright- the food came out. And let me tell you, the Beef and Sausage Bowl looked - and tasted- fantastic. And that Chicken and Avocado Bowl? Baby. Where have you been all my life? That bowl was great! (and we shared a bit- and both of us liked each other's meal lots!). What was perfect? The portion sizes were perfect. - not overly large (as is the practice at way too many restaurants) and right- sized. Even better? The Chicken and Avocado Bowl had that terrific veneer of "health" that emanated all over it, which went a LONG way towards my enjoyment of it (despite the dressing, which- while tasty- was probably 200 calories too many). So- while I like their Italian Beef sandwiches? I fell for these bowls! And we'll be back! Buona - for god's sake. Expand outta Chicagoland!
