Probably the only national chain that serves Detroit style pizza (Little Caesar's doesn't count), Jet's is available in the Midwest, and I wish it would migrate to the West Coast. I went on-line to see if I could find a coupon deal...the best one seemed to be 15% off menu price for pizza only, if using their text system. Here's how it works: - you find the nearest Jets and text directly to their number. It's easier if you have the menu in front of you to be more exact, but it's using AI to parse out the key items. You would also include your address if delivery. - you will IMMEDIATELY get a text back with your order summary. It will include each item listed with price, total price (inc tax) and quoted time. It will also have a custom link that you click on to complete your order. - the link will take you directly to the checkout page. You can choose to pay on-line or on delivery. You can also include a driver tip (it defaults to 15%). You can then enter your credit card and authorize it immediately. - On success, you will get a final text confirming your order (with ID), Delivery ETA. The time was quoted an hour, and it came within 30 minutes! We ordered 3 things: Hawaiian 8corner pizza ($25.99); Triple Cheese Bread ($10.99); Honey BBQ WIngs (8 pieces for $10.99). The pizza was good, consisting of 8 pieces, and enough for 4-8 people. The cheese bread had a ton of cheese (shredded cheddar, then a layer of mozarella, and sprinkled on-top with parm) and it gave with a pretty tasteless marinara sauce. The wings ... you don't order wings from a pizza usually...should have skipped it. It fed the 5 of us, and we still had a lot left over. We ordered the wrong type of crust =( but it's fine lol. My fiance and I are repeat offenders of Jets and this time we accidentally ordered the hand tossed crust vs deep dish. It was still pretty good! We ordered through the website then saw they offer a discount if you order via text. SAAAAY LESS! Service has been spot on. My husband introduced me to Jet's many years ago back when we were dating. Since then, we've tried several locations of Jet's. We've ordered from this location multiple times since moving to the area, and they've been dependably good. Have tried their thin, hand-tossed, NY style, but their signature Detroit-style pan pizza is our favorite. Their rewards system needs improvement though. I love a Detroit style pizza. Jet's has an affordable lunch special, two slices and a pop for $6! This was a great way to try their pizza. I did love the dough and the cook. There was a good amount of sauce and cheese, I only had cheese. The reason I can't give them more stars is the sauce. I did not like the sauce. It definitely could be my taste buds; I'm sure there are other who would like the seasoning combination, but for me, it's a pass. If someone wanted to try it, I would get it again, with toppings to see if that made a difference. Otherwise, I'll probably pass on Jet's again. When traveling to the Chi town area this is one of my favorite pizza places. While I've only ordered from here 8-9 times, I have at least a dozen at each of the Jets in the area. The pizza is always a cut above. It's the consistency. I order the same double mushroom-double cheese and it just how I expect it and enjoy it. They also serve an excellent Detroit style pizza replica and their square pizza is to die for. Try the thin crust and the wings. My friends order that from time to time and ole' Steven E sneaks his share of their pie, thank you! I'm not a fan of the cinnamon sticks, everyone else in my party raves about them. That means you better tack-on an order. Keep in mind when you eat Detroit style deep dish...it's gonna be greasy. That's the situ. That's where the flavour is! I've read a few reviews that have a star or two shaved off for this. That's actually a mistake. Just a note on the service. These kids are fast and friendly. It's a machine. A well oiled machine. Service, on August 5th I went to get something to eat. I got there two people were on the back, they saw me. They never came out to ask me if I needed anything, I was there for over 5 minutes. They ignored me, I left and call and they told me " I was helping other customer." In light of COVID-19, it's been hard to not gain weight when pizza, pasta, and burgers have been part of my new norm. All of the stress has been making me crave Jet's Pizza in particular lately. It's their large deep dish pepperoni pizza that's so addicting. I love the buttery crust, robust and zesty sauce, and the slightly crisp salty pepperoni. It's part of their lunch special that is available everyday 7 days a week. Even though their website says delivery only, they are offering curbside pick-up. You simply call in to order over the phone with payment and when you arrive for pick up, they'll place your pizza outside on a table to practice social distancing. I ordered the lunch special which consist of two pepperoni pizza and a drink. Some time Right after I ate the pizza I began to feel a little weird. Their website is very easy to navigate and ordering online for pickup or delivery was a breeze. They even have it set up so you can customize the crust, toppings (half or whole, etc.), sauce & cheese amounts (easy, regular or extra) easily during the order process. I really like that they have so many different flavored crust options AND they are free! I think their prices are quite reasonable and they have a number of deals/coupons available. Their menu has an impressive variety of specialty pizzas to choose from in addition to the basics and create-your-own options. They also have a few kinds of breads (garlic, cheesy, cinnamon & sugar) and several salad options. We tried the Grilled Chicken pizza & the Greek salad as a pickup order. The pizza was very flavorful though I felt the amount of cheese was quite lacking...I would have guessed it was a pizza that someone selected "easy cheese" but I had selected "regular". Since it was our first time ordering from them and they have a lot of different pizzas we'd like to try we'll see down the road if that was just a one time fluke on the light amount of cheese or not. The pizza was still very good, though, so we definitely want to try them again. The Greek Salad was fresh and crisp and while their site says a small salad feeds 1 - 2 people I would say it is really more like at least 4 side servings...maybe just 1 - 2 if you are only eating salad and not pizza as well. Had friends over and their never had the pizza before. EVERYONE just loved the pizza, way better than some of the Big name over price pizza places. I've tried the 8 corner pizza from this Irving Park location as well as the Arlington Heights location. In both experiences, the pizza has been extremely oily; enough to make your heart hurt afterwards. The pizza shows promise with it's old school pan vibe and crust as "Detroit style", but frankly, there are 100 better attempts at different pizza styles (pub, deep dish, thin crust, NY style) across numerous joints in the surrounding area as well as the city. At 11:34 I made the order and they stated it would arrive within 45 minutes At 12:56 I called to check on things and was told they had only one driver and that it would arrive "fresh" within about ten minutes.. After pushing a bit he offered me a free small pizza at a later time... 15 minutes later the pizza arrived... But it was not warm and it was not what I had hoped... My pepperoni sausage and green pepper pizza seem to be thrown together..as the pictured slice shows no green pepper on one slice and too much on the other No attention to detail... So let me fill you in on Jets. Mark Jett started this company in Sterling Heights Michigan. I went to school nearby and he did a phenomenal business. Claim to fame was always hot slices ready out of the oven. This is the best way to try this pizza! It's not deep dish and not thin it is a lot of delicious bubbly bread that is completely different than anything you have had in this pizza centric town. There is a lot of sauce and a lot of cheese and a lot of toppings but best of all the bread is fluffy bubbly and crusty. And really good! Jets came to Nashville before I left and were a hit. I begged them to come to Chicago. So glad they listened to this customer of 30 years! No dine in- take out all all locations. The only problem was now I have a hot pizza in my car and my drive home was going to be about 30 minutes. As soon as I stepped foot, I opened up the box and was welcomed with the lovely smell of pizza. I dont know how that was possible since I had that smell starting from start but it was welcomed. Restaurant Review Good pizza, but confused staff. I will have to preface that you need to order the deep dish pizza that is simply delicious. It reminds you of the little ceaser pizza that use to have the burnt cheese surrounding the edge before little ceaser was bought out and became a cheap 5 dollar pizza joint. Jet's Pizza is no doubt expensive compared to papa john even with coupons. The secret is not to the get the supreme that has like toppings and just settle with 1 because you end up paying a whole lot more for the same amount of pizza except for the toppings. The flavored crust on the non-deep dish pizza is a bit overrated. My most recent experience was a mixed bag. Somehow the staff was super confused that two people could order pizza with the same name at the same time. They gave me pizza to the guy in front of me who asked why it was so expensive after he paid and walked out. He didn't realize it was my pizza so they had to toss those in the garbage. I ended up waiting another 20 minutes for my pizza. This clearly was an issue as the next person in paid for another person's pizza with the same first name and asked afterwards why it was so expensive and they had to the cancel that transaction. With coupons the deep dish is tasty and is better than papa john, but if you like toppings then go to papa johns. We ordered a pizza to take to a party through the Jets web ordering system and somehow the order was not sent to the location. Ergo, no pizza when we arrived. The manager was very apologetic and promised we would have a pizza in 10 mins if we would wait. We were given the pizza at no charge for our trouble. It was a prime example of how to gain customer loyalty by turning a customer's experience around for the good. Kudos and thank you to the manager and staff at this location for their much appreciated customer care. When people at the party commented on the pizza- we told them the location and how much we have enjoyed Jets pizza since way back when they started in the Detroit area.
