This was my first time ever to go to chuck e cheese. Listening to my friends, my expectation was pretty low. This place gave my kids a few hours of fun. as other reviewers mentioned, some games are broken, but not too bad. It was packed with kids, but still had enough space for us parents to stay away from clouds and wait while kids go wild. Definitely recommend to get coupons that is available online. I had my sons party here today, he loved every bit of it..pizza not soo great..salad, alright..anywhoo all the kids had a blast & my son was the only scheduled party for the time slot, so he had Chuck E's undivided attention. This is the first time I"ve been to Chuck E Cheese since my oldest was around 6, This place smelled funny, I remembered the food wasn't great especially for what you paid but that's not why you went there it was so your kids could have fun and you just soak up the cost of the bad food. 1. There were so many kids there in the toddler area that were not toddlers abusing the rides. -- nobody saying anything about them hanging off of the carousel or eventually breaking it. 2. My toddler couldn't even play in the area where little kids were given because of all the 8 year olds almost running them over. 3. I got to Chuck e cheese 10 minutes early before our party was to start..My six-year-old was so excited for his birthday party at Chuck e cheese all my guests were arriving, the last thing I wanted to do was answer 50 questions. I understand a few questions need to be asked and talked about but I think there are some things that could be dealt with before hand. The kids at my party that were there at 5 o'clock waited at least 15 minutes for tokens, I finally went and just bought some more so they can not just be sitting there waiting. I could not find my host several times I had to leave the party and guests to go look for her, also she seemed very very sad! I hope everything is OK at her home life and if it's not I feel bad for her. and I don't want to be harsh but it is very expensive and when you're paying that much money you have a certain realistic expectation of how the Birthday party should be ran. She did a good job going and getting the food and the drinks, but I kept asking her if she wanted me to help clean the tables and she kept telling me she would but she didn't!!!! I don't think it's right to eat cake in all the filth of the pizza and they should have someone coming and cleaning up the garbage but instead my guests and I were doing it. I think there should be some kind of direction on the timeline and when things should happen.. I was confused as to what I should be doing and what was going to be happening as it was my first party at this big Chuck E. Cheese. Yesterday I went with my brother and he's son to eat and play games after eating it was time to play that's when we notice there was no conmdates for the handicap my brother is in a wheelchair and he could not to the 2nd floor to be with his son we we're very upset with this outcome chucky cheese if famous with children and a place to enjoy the food and games but I can say we are very disappointed with this NO Comdation for the handicap I will keep on this FACT till it is fix!!! read more

Best Chuck E. Cheese I've been to my whole life! I've been coming here since I was 7 and its been a really fun time with family playing games,Watching the Studio C Show and Pizza. I come here mostly every 4 times a month. I just went here today after 2 months, lots has changed. They started remodeling the place to keep up with corporate demands. They removed the Studio C Stage and I asked one of the construction builders that they're building a Circle of Lights Show to get installed soon. They removed tokens with the Play pass system that ive tried at the kooser location. All carpets have been changed and all the old posters got removed with new paint patterns from other location. While under new construction, No show was playing and Chuck E came around once a while to do the live show with all the TV's off during the remodel. Its sad to see the stage go but its for better causes with more new games and prizes. This is the best Chuck E Cheese location I've been to because it's two stories. Usually all the other ones are only one story and pretty small. This one offers a second level for arcade games and the lower level has the ticket games. Everything here is only one token! You can find coupons in the mail for a large pizza and you'll get 150 tokens! That's such a good deal! There are lots of tables for a party. They also randomly have Chuck E come out and give away free tickets. The ticket lines do get really long though so cash out ASAP! read more

I would like to give this place half a star if I could. They have some new arcade games and there's this one game called Iceman, which sucks because it doesn't track the tickets so if you continue to keep playing when it says NO TICKETS then you are basically screwed because the tickets will not track. I didn't realize this game didn't track the tickets because most games track the tickets. So since I didn't know that, my child kept playing and wasn't getting tickets. So we called someone over. This guy wore a black t-shirt. He's a fat Mexican dude in his 30s and he says he's a supervisor. Basically he wouldn't honor my tickets that didn't come out. He said that's what the machine spits out and that's it. I got heated and pissed off because this guy had no customer service skills. Do you think I'm lying or something? Now you took me to another level. You messed with the wrong person. I work in the corporate world and know how to escalate problems if you create them. Don't think I don't know that there's someone hire than you and a district manager. Next time I come back, I'll be talking to another manager about your behavior. You don't deserve the title of a supervisor. You really going to be a jerk and not honor like 60 tickets. I even told you to check the camera to see that my child was sitting at the game for the last 20 minutes continuously playing. I wouldn't make a big argument if I was wrong, which I wasn't wrong at all. This guy really doesn't deserve this job. He doesn't seem to like to be around kids. This is a kids place. So I brought my baby girl to this location again since it was my nephew's bday & again another disappointment. Right when coming in we were not only not greeted by this old white long white hair lady but when I mentioned that my daughter is wearing a Halloween costume to get the free tickets & instead she rudely says that my baby girl's hot pink dress tutu style with pink cape didn't look like a Halloween costume then she continues on with the attitude as she unwillingly hands me the tickets & says more saying she still doesn't think its a Halloween costume that it looks more like PJs. If I wasn't holding my daughter I would have reported her to her manager & would have asked her who wears what my daughter is wearing as PJs u dumbo. And I wasn't exaggerating when I said she was saying & facial expressions were truly rude with attitude. Even my dad looked at her like what is wrong with her. If it wasn't for my nephew's bday I totally wouldn't have came here. I can absolutely understand the negative reviews, especially from people who grew up in the area and have the history & memories attached to this location. But the one time I went there (for a kid's birfday, of course), I was pleasantly surprised. I really don't expect much from any Chuck E Cheese these days, which probably helped. Everything from the service to the food was better than I expected. In fact, we've driven farther to the Kooser location a couple times just because of this one's bad rep. Who doesn't love this place? Arcades upstairs for the big kiddos and ticket/toddlerish games downstairs. This place has been here forever, so it's probably not the cleanest place, especially since it's kid's town. But I love how they let you trade your tickets in for cotton candy! =) And their pizza and token deals are YAY! I grew up on it. My favorite game of all time is the Jurassic Park shooting games. Usually it's not crowded on a weekday, but those game associates are never around, when a machine eats up your token. Seems pretty wheelchair accessible, not sure where their elevator is though. Overall, fun and just remember to wash your hands when you leave. =) read more

This place is good for kids to have fun, I wouldn't bring my kid to this place for a bday party though. It's always way too packed, food is incredibly over-priced, AND it's in dire need of a remodeling. Great place to come, especially with the family. The pizza is alright and if you find the right games, you will have a whole lot of fun. I enjoy the alien game. The games upstairs are a lot more fun than the ones downstairs. And one token per game isn't bad at all. And on some of the games, you can farm tickets. Some if the prizes are pretty good. And its pretty big to have a party in, and it is not that crowded. And they also have an ice cream machine. read more

We live closer to the Redwood City location but decided to take a drive and give this one a try. There are alot more games for the kids, it looks so much cleaner. There are infinite tables throughout the 2 story building where you can sit and eat while kids play. We will most likely just make the drive, our girls left very happy and ready for a nap read more

I have been here as a child for my birthday parties and as an adult to other little kids parties. The pizza is great, odd I know! But I loved it. I do agree with how it has changed, and not necessarily for the better. My generation grew up with a stage performance with people dressed up at Chuck and his friends and the lovely red velvet curtain lol. But it has changed and is more electronic friendly. This is the bigger Chuck E Cheese compared to some other locations such as Fremont. There are two levels and this means that it has more rides and games for the kids. The kids love this place and it's just enjoyable for the parents to watch the kids have a lot of fun. read more

Chuck E Cheese was one of my favorite places to go to have a good time playing games and enjoying food. Staff here is great, games work most of the time, and the pizza is delicious. But besides that, it's a mess. Most of the time it's packed and crowded, making it really hard to get to places, and most of the people think it's smart to stay in 1 game for almost an eternity. My brother and I had to wait almost an hour before a single good game was available. Even waiting in line is not an option, kids always cut and ignore what I say. Im resorting to playing video games at my own house, because waiting 1 freaken hour just to play 1 game is not worth it. If Chuck E Cheese can somehow fix this mess, I'd be writing a better review. read more

Please attend to your equipment better. Some days most of the rides and arcades don't function properly. It is difficult to explain to young children what the problem might be with nearly all of their entertainment. That's how awaited experience turns into major disappointment for kids. Worst experience at at Chuck E Cheese EVER. Parked way over on Saralynn drive because parking was so bad! (that's almost a mile away). Literally, witnessed three grown adults fighting over one spot. The store was trashed,dirty tables, floors, children.... A ton of the games didn't work at all.The games that did take tokens needed an attendant to refill the tickets. THEY FLAT OUT REFUSED to honor our vouchers from the Newark location. YOU JUST ABOUT BROKE OUR KIDS HEARTS, and for what? You ripped up the vouchers for this location before we even had a to decline using them! Would have been nice to have known about the policy BEFORE spending a ridiculous amount of money on tokens! This place is so packed on weekends we came for my daughters birthday party and they said we couldn't reserve a section because we didn't call ahead and there was room for us I find it ridiculous!! This is a clean store, very spacious. Lots of room for kids to play and there's always someone at kid check. But the dance. Chuck E.'s dance. Where was it??? I've been to many other Chuck E. Cheese's in four different states, but this is the only store where the mascot did not even TRY to dance. He simply paraded around the store throwing tickets above his head. Sure, there were high knees from his, but that is not dancing. He ignored the whole choreographed dance that STATES the dance moves. This song has been out since Dec. 2015. I've took my son here 2yrs in a row he love it there cause he loves getting the birthday crown with tokens on it ....and games and winning tickets to get nice prizes.... First off, I'd like to say that the workers there were great, especially the young lady who was in charge of "waitressing" our party. This is only a review of the pizza only. Went here for my nephew's birthday. When it comes to pizza, I'm not very picky. You really can't mess up pizza, but man I only got 2 pepperoni slices and one combination and small ones at that. I took me like 15min to force myself to eat the 3 little slices. The soda (Pepsi) was also weird tasting like it was a bit below normal tasting, but not blatantly watered down. The only thing that was good was the Dippin Dots ice cream. There was also a lot of subway type sandwiches and chicken "nuggets". I had to add salt to the pizza to make it taste like anything, it was that bland. The crust was nice and crunchy a la Pizza Hut, but that also meant it was as greasy. I'd never thought I would come across pizza that was blander than the ones at Costco. Oh well, what do you expect right. Its too bad they can't be known for having great pizza as well. read more

My baby came here for his 1st time yesterday and he had fun. The local kids are pretty quick to snatch your tix/coins so keep an eye out for that. The pizza tasted better and overall it was a cool $50 I spent. Just make sure you print out a coupon for a better time there. read more

My son loves Chuck E. Cheese but the food here is super overpriced. Without a coupon it isn't really worth it! They do have meal deals that include tokens and they are decent priced. It says that everything is only a token but doesn't mean the tokens are 25 cents each. Depending on how many tokens you buy will determine how much each token is. Just this side of hell on earth. My dear wife decided that we were going to have our sons 3rd birthday at this place... a month later to the day I still don't know what she was thinking. Guess she had a couple parties at this very location when SHE was a kid; which kind of says something for the age of this place, doesn't it? So! Am I wrong in thinking that "private party room" means a room removed from everyone else? Especially for the absurd amount of money they charge? I don't think I am, but of course I'm biased. But fair warning for anyone else who has any misguided notions that you'll be ensconced away from everyone else... 99% chance you won't be. No sir. In C.E.C. land "private party room" means one big frigging area for you and all the other parties. Personally I was ready to carve Chuck up and serve him for starters after discovering this; but perhaps having just drove the better part of three hours had something to do with that too. The food? Seriously? Well, it wasn't awful, but sure wasn't great. Way over priced, but when you're hungry you rapidly stop caring. The games? In this dingy hell hole it's best for adults to just stay at the table and let the kids do whatever it is they do. Seems this company gives out tokens like they're going out of style... and it would seem that the old days of kids/people taking turns (*gasp* what a concept!) is a foreign concept. Look, I enjoy playing games and one of the other dads and I went looking to play -something- for a few minutes to blow off some steam. Only one game caught our attention, but the *cough* dear sweet kids (and their equally sweet parents) didn't seem to think anything of plugging in token after token regardless of other people waiting. I gave up. Later on I did try playing a game with my son, the Star Wars Pod Racer game; an old favorite of mine, so why not? Good thing tokens mean nothing here, the flipping game was broken. Heard later that a LOT of the games were borked. Kind of keeps with the overall feeling of the place. Old, worn out and run down. As mentioned the parking lot is its own little slice of hell. Maybe we were just 'extra lucky' as it was a Sunday and wet to boot... so everyone came to get out of the weather. Who knows? Point being, the lot is a joke, so just look for a spot nearby on the street. The only saving grace? My little boy had a great time. When the over grown rodent came out his face lit up. He clapped, he danced, he smiled and smiled and smiled. When your child is having such a great time it rubs off on you. Will I ever give in and have another party at CEC? Yeah, I likely will. I gave it one star because I had too. I would never ever go there again. BEWARE the store is being ran by thieves. I was there celebrating my son second birthday. I was there with my five sons. I ordered my food and while I was waiting for my total, I counted my cash to decide how I was going to pay. The cashier gave me the total of $53 and some change. I thought perfect, I don't have to pay by visa. I had just counted 2 twenties, 3 fives, and 3 ones. So I reached in and counted out the two twenties, and and three fives and handed it to the cashier. While he started doing what ever he was doing I was dealing with my two year old that was on my hip and I reached into my wallet and pulled out the three ones so that I could tip the cashier. When I looked up he looked at me and showed my one twenty and three fives, and told me that was all I gave him. I knew what I had given him. I counted it twice. I checked my wallet just to be sure but I was right. I asked him to look around and see if he dropped it, but he said there was no need that was all I gave him. Which the only reason a person a wouldn't try and look is if they knew they wouldn't find it because they took it. I tried talking to the manager but that isn't helpful when they were obviously friends. They take advantage because here you are with your kids on there birthday, and I had already set up all the party stuff. Really, what am I going to do take my kids out of there crying on there birthday? And either way they had already stole my money. So I had no choice but to pay twice. If it hadn't been my sons birthday I would have contacted the authorities. And they know that, that's why they get away with it. It's despicable. It was Sunday at 6:00pm when we arrived. Every single staff member had a frown, would be annoyed when you asked a question. Even when ordering your expensive pizza and drinks: $120 for 2 pizzas, 10 drinks and 100 tokens. Its a once in a while thing so its ok I do not mind the pricyness at all! What I mind is that we spent over $300 with our 11 people group for the employees to be so rude and not courteous at all. They all looked as if they had worked for 12 hours or got paid $5 an hr! I worked at Burger King for years and being nice and having a smile at all times was priority. If you dont like kids or a lot of people find a different job but dont be rude to cuatomers spending their money here. The kids had fun except 50% of the machines were out of service and an another 25% had no tickets and again if you asked a staff member they would role their eyes before going to the machine. So we ended up not getting help anymore and just leaving our unused tokens in the machine and moving to the next one. Hopefully tomorrow is a better day for their staff... :) read more

This place is the worst to take a child especially birthday parties. Never will I go back to place they serve worst pizza my family all got sick from eating pizza and the chicken is disgusting. This place needs to shut down or update the menu and atomsphere you walk in dark, muggy, dungeon type place. The girl at the cashier area couldn't get a simple order correct. I asked for a large pepperoni and she must have not been paying attention and entered it as cheese. It's not hard to get something simple right the first time. Now I have to wait to get a new pizza. So stupid. This franchise sucks. They don't clean down the machines and some games are broken. I prefer to go to the corporate owned Chuck E. Cheese. The prices on food are cheaper, but they don't offer the 100 tokens for a buying a large pizza coupon. The coupon specifically says you must purchase a 1 topping pizza. Pizza already comes with cheese so pepperoni is supposed to be the 1 topping. read more
