    What happened?

Park is great but what happened?Does anyone know ?always feel safe going here but now not sure

Super cute small park I discovered today riding from the new Bart station toward the Penitencia Creek and beyond. I have to admit that what made me stop was these big cherries (seats) so playful and cute. The theme is cherries so as per other reviews this is popularly known as Cherry park. I liked the vibe. Perfect for small kids and also adults as the workout station is one of the coolest I have seen, especially because you get so much space in the background I think it must feel so great to work out there. Not many spots in the parking lot, looks very much for the locals, which makes it cozier and neighborhoodie.

My neighbors and I really enjoyed taking a long walk to the park but now there's no joy since they closed off the playground, the fitness zone so much for workout and they even placed a cover net over the bench seats. Just a casual walk so long you keep your social distancing of 6 feet apart and the park was quite empty so sad wonder how long this will last.

I just discovered a new part that was built for a nice place for your children, family and a mini bike trail to spend time at. This is a fun clean park next to the neighborhood! Very kids safe and environmental friendly!! All the equipment here is new and clean they also have outdoor Green fitness area for those who want to do a quick workout

This is a nice new park that has been here for a few years. It has workout stations, nice play ground for the kids. My kids love playing here. Only down side to this little park is there is no restrooms and parking is kind of limited. On hot days this park not to good cause there's not a lot of shad. I give this park 3 and a half stars but I'm putting 4 cause I'm a guy and I have two sons and if they really got to go there's brush's all over.

Found a re-creation area where kids of all-ages can have fun. This is where play is simply is but what your imagination can bring you ... boundless and limitless! I feel that this is a great addition to the community and I enjoyed the addition of the fitness area where "bigger" kids can go at it for free! ..only one needs to be reminded of sharing and giving other's the chance to use it...just like what we tell the kids when they play.

Convenient. Close enough to run to. This newly opened neighborhood park is just what the city of San Jose needs more of: free space and anything to promote a healthy lifestyle. The park caters to all ages as there is a play area designated for your little Littles. Another area for your bigger Littles...and drum roll...a Fitness area where 14 and olders can get their work out on on the fitness equipment. What's cool is there are details and descriptions on each apparatus explaining how each contraption works and what muscles are being targeted. Still very clean and spacious. Lots of grassy areas to play catch, volleyball or soccer in. Walk your dog here too, just pick up the poop, please. Parking lot along the side with ample areas also available to park your bike or scooter. The ice cream man rolls through here too. Feeling like a kid again *le sigh*

2 person cross country ski elliptical workout gear here!!

This park is so cool it has workout gear stations that you use your own weight. They have machine type stations that are similar to elliptical machines you see at the gym. Two separate playgrounds and seating with tables and one of the tables has its own umbrella. Water fountains although one of them looks overflowed and I'm not sure if they work. Parking is available right next to the park. Limited parking. Looks like they have lighting for when it is dark but I personally have not driven by at tonight. The ground is the soft foam type ground where if you fall then you will not break anything. The streets nearby are not too busy either it is close to a residential neighborhood.

Clean park. Enough playground equipment to keep the little ones occupied... But no shade.... Not good on a hot summer day in San Jose...

What kind of park has a zipline?!? THIS ONE. Two seating options, one with a harness for toddlers,…read morethe other for older kids (I even saw adults using this). The park also offers a fun and inclusive space for children, with climbing structures, sturdy cement slides, swings for both toddlers and older youth, a see-saw, merry-go-round, trampoline, and spongy material making up the ground's surface. The occasional squirrel, lizard, and butterfly too. As an adult simply looking for a place to relax while waiting for my car at an auto shop nearby, I was pleasantly surprised to find this park accommodating. Dirt and concrete trails weaving through the garden, lovely vegetation in spring, and a good amount of picnic tables and benches scattered throughout. Also, a shady area with fake grass and seats made out of smoothed-out logs and tree trunks, as well as adirondack chairs where I was able to hang out and nap while I was there. It wasn't too crowded or crazy on a Friday morning, though it got busier as it neared noon time. In addition, the place offers a parking lot and clean restrooms for convenience.

The play garden has everything kiddos love -- slides, one seesaw, one round spinner, one rope climbing thing (that can also spin), swings (bucket and standard), small water play area, and a Zipline (one for little kids 3+ and one for older kids). They also have an area with tables, where someone was having a party (no idea if reservations are needed though). Expect to wait in line for a turn of the park is crowded. The play garden is fenced off from the rest of the park. They have a restroom on site. They have a small parking lot that is nearby the entrance of the play garden. I noticed some people parked on a smaller side street and walked over. I'm not sure what other parking options there are otherwise. We would return if we're in the area again and if it's less busy. It's a solid park and play area for those who live nearby.

Such a fun, spacious, and beautiful park!…read more I stumbled across this gem due to being in the nearby area. It just so happened to be right after Easter weekend and the plentiful garbage bins were 100% overflowing. With that said, the parks still came off quite tidy. Park visitors clearly made the effort to throw things away in appropriate areas and overflowed garbage bags were placed right along the bathroom building. City workers stopped by shortly after and BAM!! Everything was cleared and cleaned. Doerr Park comes recommended for children of all ages. There is a kiddy area and a more advanced play structure for the older kids in your life. The structure provides a lot of American Ninja Warrior vibes as opposed to your basic swing set and slide. 5/5 stars. This park is so bomb!!!

The playground is divided by a smaller playground for the little kids and a larger playground for the bigger kids. The kids I take care of love to come here and climb and go down the slides. They prefer this park over the one by their house in Willow Glen. The restrooms are decent. There's always toilet paper, soap and paper towels. There's lots of picnic tables--some covered, some not. There's lots of nice walking/biking paths around the park. There are also tennis courts which people are always using for pickleball. Also basketball courts. Tons of grassy fields to run around. There isn't a parking lot for this park but plenty of street parking.
