Reading all of the reviews I was worried about visiting. But we had a good visit! We spent over an hour here with the kids playing all of the games. They had some newer games, a few ride-ons for small kids, and lots of seating for eating. There was a large projector screen playing various kids bop music videos including kpop demon hunter songs. Food was reasonable for a kid's establishment, kids ate their cheese pizzas. Everything seemed fairly clean. Staff were friendly. It wasn't super crowded for a Saturday night. I admit that it has been yearsssssssssss since I have been to any Chuck E. Cheese location but I went yesterday to celebrate my friends daughters 7th birthday. All she wanted was to cut her cake and spend time there for her birthday. It was glorious that her parents decided to celebrate her birthday on her actual day, so that ended up being a weekday celebration. Parking was plentiful, there was no other birthday celebration. Chuck E. was able to spend time with the birthday girl and the guests, coming out three times. The kids didn't have to wait in line to play any of the games. I know this location is smaller compared to other locations in the surrounding area, but for a kids birthday party, this place works out great. Could the food be better? Sure. The quality of the pizzas is not the same as they once were in the heyday of Chuck E. Cheese. The salad bar had a lot of choices and the ingredients were fresh. My review is to give a special shout out to Maribel, the hostess for the birthday party, She was EXCELLENT!!!! Attentive, professional, friendly and on top of things. Came here for a birthday party and while I have avoided this place for years (I grew up with the creepy animatronics don't judge me) I definitely have come to appreciate this as an adult. It's loud with kids playing and music, there is staff everywhere which makes me feel better as a parent bringing young children and the food was a hit with our whole party. I will say the pizza crust was VERY buttery but not a deterrent for a second slice. If you're a pizza connoisseur then you may not like it but when you want things handled for you when hosting a kids party it definitely works. The games are fun with a mix of one you can earn tickets from and some you play just for fun. A couple were kind of tricky to navigate so we were convinced they were out of order. They also have a section just for play which is nice if you have younger children that just want to run around. Chuck E. Cheese came out to wish a happy birthday to our 'Birthday Star' and another tables which was nice, the kids seemed to really like him. I will say, Chuck E. Cheese definitely went on a diet since I was a kid so I did a double take when he came out The prizes are (in my opinion) overpriced. Our youngest earned 700+ tickets and was mainly only able to 'buy' from the lower counter still. There were a few 500 ticket options on the wall but everything higher than eye level was 2000+ tickets so be prepared to shell out actual $$ or help your kid earn as many tickets as possible. Our oldest didn't want to spend her tickets so she was able to just save her card for next time. They have many food and drink options available, from pizza to salad, appetizers to sweets. The prices are moderate though, for two personal pizzas and 3 upgraded Chuck E. Cheese fountain drink cups I paid over $50. A profoundly disappointing birthday party experience. Several aspects of the event did not meet expectations. First, the assigned host showed a notable lack of engagement with the children. The disinterest negatively impacted the overall enjoyment for the guests. Furthermore, the water ran out completely at one point. The host did not appear concerned when the issue was brought to their attention. Moreover, our guests were asked to pay for 'Chuck E Cheese' socks out of pocket to use the trampoline and my wife and I were given no prior notice about this despite making multiple phone calls to them prior to the party. Finally, despite repeated requests to delay serving the pizzas for a few minutes, they were delivered to the table prematurely. As a result, the food was cold by the time it was intended to be eaten. Before coming here, I was shocked by the poor reviews. I used to love Chuck E . Cheese when I was younger. We came here last week for one of my good friend son's birthday. The minute we got in, I smelled feet - it reminded me of McDonald's playground when I was younger, specifically the ball pit. Instantly felt gross, but as long as the kids are happy and entertained, that's all that matters. I honestly love that the place is small - there's no way you can lose your kid in there, unless they run out the door. No matter which corner you're standing at, you'll have a bird's view of the entire place, which is great if you're a parent with a running and wild toddler. The staff were nice and helpful, but very soft spoken and didn't seem like they care or liked their job. I remembered as a kid my favorite part of a party there was the birthday song "When we say I 'happy' you say 'birthday!'" This time the energy/wibe felt so soft, forced, and not as exciting. The staff who tried to gathered the kids to dance with Chuckie and sing the birthday song had low energy and didn't seem like she was excited with her job - I could feel her energy wanting it to be over. The games options were fair, there were different kind of games for all ages. There's a trampoline area which is cool but you have to pay extra for that. The staff working there didn't look like she liked her job either. My 2 year old son got excited and ran inside - then the lady told me he needed to take off his shoes and pay extra to be inside. UM, why didn't you stop him, why isn't there a sign? I had to drag my 2 year old out of there and he was screaming his head off. Thanks, lady. Easy to work with over the phone for my daughter's birthday party. The only thing I would caution is added drinks/cups for the adults that you have to pay, which I would assume it's commentary since we were told "adults" of each kid was free. This is THE most positively memorable and enjoyable C.E.C location I've set foot in. Every employee that I had interactions with was so pleasant and they provided the best experience when it comes to service. The entire party was organized, on time, and the female employee who was assigned to helping out the event was extremely attentive. Food was brought out on time, dishes were piping hot, & everything tasted really good. Yep, I repeat, THE FOOD WAS REALLY GOOD!! The games are separated into two parts- one for the older crowd and one for the smaller kids. My child enjoyed going to both areas but I was honestly blown away by the kiddy side. A few of our favorites were the race car game without the typically mandatory stepping on a gas pedal, the alligator pounding game, and the hungry hamster catching game. My only complaint was the amount of games that did not work. The gaming area in itself is already kind of small and with them not working, it really made playing games tough since the establishment was so busy that day [filled with back to back birthday celebrations]. It's been probably 25 years since I stepped foot in a Chuck E. Cheese. Then quarantine hit and I saw a spray painted sign that reminded me of a zombie survival sign, "Help! Survivors inside!" We just had my daughter's fifth birthday party tonight and our party helper was Jonathan. He was super friendly and helpful and adjusted some of the things around for me to accommodate my parents schedule. I really appreciated his attentiveness to our group of family and friends For a place that has kids running around constantly, it is clean and the staff manages to keep smiles on their faces I would say most of the games work and they do switch them around every once in a while so there are new games. We threw our son's 2nd birthday party at the Newark location in January. He had a blast. Since COVID he's been asking for Chuck E. Cheese =(. For a bit of normalcy, we ordered the party pack today and we are throwing him a chuck e cheese party at home. It was fast to order over the phone and the employees were extremely courteous and helpful. When I arrived to pick up they had very reasonably priced toys lined up which we grabbed for my little man. Came here for my niece's 2nd birthday party and it was fine. The pizza tasted good to me, especially with the garlic crust. It didn't seem too crowded but there were indeed kids everywhere- but that should be expected. The workers were really helpful and kind to us. It seemed a little hectic but the guy who seemed to be in charge of the birthday parties was nice and had a great attitude. What was really disappointing was the bathroom! There are 5 stalls in the women's restroom. One had red tape over the door, another had a huge plastic covering over the entire toilet (not usable), and the large stall with the changing table had a lock that was broken and wouldn't close. Chuck-E-Cheese is nothing like I remember it when I was a child. It's less fun and extremely overpriced. Their new system just plain sucks. It's terrible. I brought my two little kid cousins here for a "fun filled day" and it was anything but fun. They didn't like it at all and within 5 minutes I felt like asking for a refund and leaving but ultimately decided to stay. I had a coupon and spent approx $55 dollars on two 60 minute kids passes. Otherwise it's about $17 dollars for 30 minutes and during that time you can barely play any games b/c there's a limit between the number of swipes. These passes let each kid play the games for 60 consecutive minutes with only one "break" in between. This really sucks when you need to take a break for the restroom and are the minutes are being deducted, if you need to eat or just needs a break in general. The games were very boring. The employees themselves deserve five stars. They were obviously overwhelmed and short staffed but still did a great job serving customers. I ordered a large pizza for us which cost about $23 dollars. For one adult and two kids - we almost ate the whole thing. Pizza is thin and slices are small. Also very oily and also overpriced. Super friendly staff. We were the only ones here and we celebrated my daughter's birthday. We got to dance with Chuck E. So much fun!

Friday night after work I took my son to the Newark Chuck E. Cheese thinking it was their larger two-story property in the San Jose area. He was still super excited (even though it wasn't the one I was looking for). After about 15 minutes of us arriving- Chuck E. Cheese was out and about and my Super excited three row ran up to greet him. Immediately I noticed that he didn't really interact (not the typical excitement or high-fives we see all the time at all the other Chuck E. Cheese's we visit) with him he just kind of stood there so I snapped a couple of pictures didn't think much of it and we continue to play games with our game card. About 20 minutes later he comes out again and It's over near group in the back party section. My son runs over to that area and he's trying to get Chuck E. Cheese's attention. He saying hi and standing near him and eventually he grabs onto Chuck E. Cheese arm. The person inside the costume the end snatches their arm away and continues to only deal with the kids and family at the party in the back. After Chuck E. Cheese walks away from the group I walk up to him I tell him I saw what he did he tells me sorry in sign language and tries to walk away I tell him what he did is not OK to not do it again and then I'm about to speak to his manager again all he says is sorry in sign language and walks to the back. I'll go up to the counter tell the young man working at the register that I want to speak to the manager after waiting about 10 minutes they finally saying a young lady Yahoo looks like she's in her late teens early 20s she tells me she's sorry I tell her sorry is not good enough and that I still need to speak to a manager. The manager have been sitting in the front with her iPad and whatever papers she needed seem like she was doing some type of count from the time we came in after waiting for a long period of time I continue to play games with my son and watch the front counter. I finally saw the manager come out start to pack up her things and walk to the back. I went up to her asked her does she not know that I have been waiting for her for at this point about 15 minutes then she starts to say oh what can I help you with. I respond to her and say no one told you what the issue was because at this point I'm talking to a couple people. She then goes on to say how she didn't know what happened what did I feel like was the correct action and that this was their best Chuck E. Cheese however he was sensitive to touch because he had autism. I am unclear as to how a Chuck E. Cheese character that supposed to interact with several kids is normally being grabbed on and approached could possibly be the best one if they're sensitive to touch. No one tried to do anything to correct it she asked me what I wanted done I told her that I didn't think that the same person in the costume should come out again and the saying Chuck E. Cheese came out again while we were there we were there for a while because I paid for a 90 minute card. All that to say after being ignored for something that was very serious no actions being taken in for her to actually tell me that he was the best Chuck E. Cheese to me felt like I was very disregarded as a black customer and a customer in general. Repeat I will never be taking my son back to the Chuck E. Cheese again I didn't think it was fair to make him leave the facility because someone else did something rude to him so I stayed there for the sake of my son uncomfortably which I should not have had to do. Came here with my 4 Year Old Granddaughter On a Tuesday Evening around 415pm. It wasn't crowded at all. It's been years since I been here since my kids are all grown, so didn't know they got rid of the tokens. Bought a card worth $20 with a elastic purple bracelet so she can put around her wrist without losing it. PLEASE LISTEN to what I have to say. I was a former Chuck E employee and I KNOW all the secrets and truth that runs this business from morning to night. FOOD: PIZZAS - All pizza flour are frozen and made to order. Pizza sauce comes from a pre-made plastic bag. Leave the pizza out for more than 5-10 minutes and it looks disgusting and tastes like cardboard. SALAD BAR - You might think it looks good but the truth is, you are eating salad that could be more than many weeks old. We are required from time to time to refill any selection of the salad when it gets even halfway full. That means the old food gets mixed in with the new food and at the end of the day, we just put cling wrap on top and leave it in the fridge. BUFFALO WINGS - These wings and drumsticks do taste very good and that is because we do not make them, Tyson does. All we do is heat them up and on weekends when it is very busy, they are heated early and left in heated lamps. That means if you order buffalo wings at 2:00pm, it could be chicken that was heated and mixed from a batch at 11:00am. CHEESE / PEPPER SHAKERS - These are sometimes cleaned depending if the employees have extra time when closing the store. They are NEVER EMPTIED which means if a shaker is half full and refilled, the old cheese / pepper will stay in there and mixed in. Overall, many health concerns regarding how food is maintained. If you have kids, I would recommend coming here to play and eating pizza elsewhere. You will save time and money. read more

I like it hear bc it's not that crowded but probably for a reason. They are always super slow with the food. We asked to speak to the manager bc he had trouble tracking down crushed red pepper and the staff were not being helpful. When the manager arrived he was totally defensive with my son's grandmother. She said that they had a reputation of bad service and that set him off. He starts arguing and saying that they do not have bad service. I told him he couldn't argue with us what bad service is bc it is our opinion. His response was "why can't I argue with you?!" Really?? Did you learn that at manager school? How about some common sense? Are you TRYING to lose customers? If you came to argue with me and not rectify the situation then just go away. You're making things worse. read more

Wow, glad to have normalcy back especially for the little ones. For those who have kids (or even older ones) who want to have fun -this Chuck e Cheese is awesome! They have lots of games for kids to play, clean, and the food is really good. Five stars for staff, games, and food. Will definitely be back! read more

The place is still the same with one significant change. Chuck E Cheese do without actual coin tokens. All games are now operated by a card. That is fine. However, some games now takes two credits (such as Fast and the Furious, card photo, etc.) Before, everything was ONE token. The buffet is still there. Always not as advertised since because dessert was not available. The buffet still consists of a very plain salad and one topping pizzas. read more

I can't believe the last time we took the kids to this Chuck E Cheese was in 2008 and that was to celebrate our oldest son's 6th birthday. Saturday we had a birthday party to attend. It's summer so obviously it was BUSY. Lots of kids, parents and teenagers. The food is still the same. I like Chuck E Cheese pizza. But the crowd has gotten GHETTO. There were people smoking outside and some rude parents with no consideration for little kids. My son Evan wanted to ride the monster truck. I told him to wait his turn. He waited 3+ times while the parents with their toddler hogged it and took pictures. After awhile Evan got mad and said loudly "it's MY turn now mommy. They won't get off". I took the high road and told him "let's go find something else to do". That's sad to me. We don't let our kids ride anything more than once if there's a line :\ Hubby already said we won't be returning unless for a birthday party. We'll find other places to take our kids for some fun minus the ghettoness. read more
