Love this place! I used to go to PAC west when I was a girl, and now it's my daughter's turn. She loves looking forward to class every week, seeing her classmates and Coach Janet. Its great place for her to use her energy, listen to directions and learn some kind of coordination. Janet is very patient with the kids and sociable. I highly recommend signing your kids up!

We had our first class back and wanted to highlight some updates. We were hesitant with covid to let our children participate but really appreciate how much energy went into rearranging and planning out the gym to safely open. Everyone wore mask, the gym had clear 6ft distancing on all areas, was well ventilated and had a clear system implemented for coaches. My daughter was so excited. She talked about it all day. Her coach was equally enthusiastic and did a great job following the new protocol with young kids. We've been attending pac west for 2 years and so happy to be back. Here are a few things I noticed 1) They have rearranged entrance/exit. There are clear markers outside, all the kids had mask and hands were sanitized before going inside. He also grouped them by teacher, keeping the pods together and avoiding intermingling. He will not release your kid unless you are by the exit. 2) My daughter is 5 so I was concerned how they would maintain distance while still having fun. Insert hula hoops! She loved it, it gave her a clear boundary line and visual way to space herself from her peers. There were only 4 kids which was reasonable to manage with distancing. 3) Hand sanitizing spray. The coach sanitized their hand before moving to a new activity. She also always spaced them more than 6ft, and again utilized either their hula hoop or a designated paper on the mat to help guide them. 4) live web feed. Allows me to oversee the class without being in the building (they do have 5 open spaces for parents. First come gets the seats) this was great and I love that it is secured.

Is this an okay place for little girls who just want to learn and have fun? The last place we went to was dirty, the owners were far too serious about the sport for such young peopleand were being super critical of the only woman of color instructor.

From start to finish, Emma was great with communication in planning. She texted over project options with paintings or clay art. My daughter chose clay and Emma sent over photos of sample projects she could choose from. My daughter asked to do a "Bluey" clay art project and I thought to ask even though I didn't see any samples in the studio. Emma asked for an image and within a few days they created one for the guests to replicate. That was appreciated as my daughter and her guests love Bluey and were so tickled to be able to make one. We did have a hiccup on the day of the party but Emma, her studio manager and staff were able to accommodate everything without batting an eyelash! I appreciated their flexibility and ability to pivot flawlessly. The staff were so helpful with setup and always making sure everyone had what they needed. They took care of cleaning up the space, and disposing of any party remnants for us at the end of the event. Our instructor was so friendly and talented. She went around to help any of the guests who needed assistance on their project. Emma was so friendly and thoughtful. She made sure there were personal touches and made sure each guest felt special. She checked on us frequently during the event as well. My daughter loved it and so did her friends. I wouldn't hesitate to hold another birthday party here again. Thank you to Emma, our instructor, the studio manager and the staff!!

My older child (now 5) graduated from Safari, and my younger one is currently enrolled. The growth, curiosity, and confidence I've seen in both of them have been incredible. From the very beginning, Safari Kids has been supportive and nurturing not just in academic development, but emotional and social growth as well. There's a good balance of academics, arts and crafts, and activities. My oldest came home every day excited to share what he learned -- from phonics, numbers, and early reading skills to big, thoughtful topics like the circle of life, recycling, the planets, and more. The arts and crafts activities also helped spark his creativity. I was constantly amazed by how much he knew -- sometimes even more than what I'd expect from a kindergartner! One of the moments that really stood out for me was when we welcomed a new baby at home. The transition was a bit hard on my older child, but the teachers handled it with such care. They encouraged him to bring family photos and share stories about his baby brother during show and tell. That simple gesture helped him feel seen and proud in his new role as a big brother. Now, with my younger child just three months into Safari (after previously being in home daycare), I'm already seeing tremendous growth. He adjusted quickly thanks to the warm, welcoming teachers -- and the daily updates and photos helped ease the transition for us too. He's now picking up new words daily and becoming more expressive and independent. The teachers at Safari Kids truly care, and it shows in everything they do. This is a school with a strong sense of community, the teachers know all the kids (even if not in same classroom) and the parents invite other kids to birthday parties. I highly recommend Safari Kids to other parents as an enriching place for their children to grow.

From the very beginning, the staff were welcoming, and supportive. Our child's journey through preschool has been filled with so many beautiful memories, milestones, and moments of growth - and the teachers have played an important role in it. The curriculum strikes a perfect balance between structured learning and play-based activities. It has nurtured curiosity, encouraged creativity, and helped build the foundation for lifelong learning and friendship. We have seen our child grow in confidence, kindness and joy, and we are so grateful for the positive, caring environment. Communication with the school has been good. We receive regular updates, photos, and newsletters, which help us stay connected to what's happening in the classroom. As any other parent we also had certain concerns/suggestions, the staff were open for feedback and addressed our concerns. The facilities are clean, safe, and thoughtfully designed for young learners. Overall, I recommend Safari Kid, Union City to any parent looking for a positive and well-rounded early education experience. As my child is all set to start Kindergarten, a special shout out to the teachers - Ms. Sarbani, Ms. Maliha, Ms. Sathyam, Ms. Shobha, Ms. Anu and Ms. Shailaja - Thank you again! Steve & Kate's is open long hours, which is perfect for us busy parents. They offer such a huge variety of activities, and they even provide lunch--so no more packing lunches every morning! This is the third year my boys, ages 6 and 8, have attended summer camp here. They absolutely love seeing some of the same camp counselors each year. Even though they've been to other camps together like art camp, several sports camps, and exclusive club camps, Steve & Kate's is the one camp they ask to go back to every year. We also really appreciate that they aren't separated by age. At other camps, even a small age difference would mean they couldn't be together, but here, they get to hang out and play together all day. My athletic son is obsessed with playing gaga ball--something he's only found at Steve & Kate's. He also loves playing basketball, table tennis, and foosball there. My other son, who's super into art, learned how to sew at camp. He made a bunch of cool stuff and loved it so much that we even pulled out our sewing machine at home to work on projects together. What's awesome is the free play aspect--my kids love that there isn't a set schedule, so they can do whatever they want. They also really enjoy going outside and playing. The staff is fantastic, always making sure the kids are having fun and are well taken care of. The director, Joshua, is so fabulous. It's obvious that he really enjoys his job and helps the kids have a fun and memorable summer. I've seen my kids grow in confidence and make so many friends. And we can't forget about the last day of camp--it's a HUGE carnival! My kids raved about it well into the school year. My youngest was so inspired by the different games and prizes that he ended up having a carnival-themed birthday party and made his own carnival games. Another great thing about Steve & Kate's is the flexibility. You don't need to book the camp months ahead of time--you can just sign up the night before and you're good to go. Plus, you don't need to commit to the entire week, which is perfect if you just want to send the kids for a couple of days during the week. I tell all parents about Steve & Kate's and how amazing it is. Also, if your company offers Bright Horizons, definitely take advantage of it--it's such a great combo with this camp. Highly recommend!
